Trevor's Journey

WOW, its been a while since i have been around these parts! how is everyone doing these days?

Im all moved in to my new place and i found a great job and have been working there for about 3 weeks. School starts today :( which means back to reading, studying, and crying my eyes out...

Starting today im back on a small shape up diet from all the late night summer partying :)

my goal is 5 pounds which would put me at 160....it shouldn't take too long but i want to make sure most of it is fat and not muscle. I will update more later after class. I have missed everyone!!!

Yey!! You're back, hon!!! Of course this is most excellent!!

Where are you working now, bud, and what shift is it? Mine is third, graveyard, so I'm up throughout the night/early morning.

You did alot of partying, huh? Can't say I blame you. I'm sure it was worth it, and as long as you don't depress yourself over it, no regrets.

Looks like you and I are floating the same weight loss goal boat, hon. I'm shooting for five pounds too. Since I've been bulking, I think I may have gained some lbs, but I know I can drop them by being cautious again of what I'm eating. I do so much walking at my job though, that I'm constantly hungry at work and hardly at home in the daytime.

You've done this before, and you can do it again, too. I've faith in you!!

How's your bulking coming, bud? And school, how is that going now? Are you still enjoying it?

I got a job working at a really good bbq joint in town. The only thing that sucks about it is not being able to eat it while im cutting. My bulk went alright, i was really just seeing how it actually worked. I gained a bit of muscle, but due to partying i gained more fat than i wanted too, hence the reason im back on the diet wagon. I don't know what it is about dieting that makes me happy, maybe the feeling of waking up feeling good about the wa you look or something. Anyways my shifts are in the evening after class and im already tired of school ( second day in), homework is ridiculous but that's college for ya :)

im glad im back!

It's great to hear you enjoy your job regardless of the cons. Temptation is the reason why I swear I will never work in the food industry, especially at an ice cream joint. I don't honestly think I'd be able to control myself.

Wow hon, it DOES sound like your days are hectic. You'll get through them just fine though, you always do. *hugs*

Yeah? Did you bulk as much as you wanted to? Or have you hit a plateau when it comes to gaining muscle?

When it comes to dieting, I know *exactly* what you mean. I always feel better on the days that I can actually *pull through* with my eating plan. It seems, since I've been working out, I've been constantly hungry and therefore eating more. I can't honestly tell if I've gained weight though, or just muscle.

I'm always telling myself that if I wasn't hungry, if I don't *need* to eat, I wouldn't be. I mean, I rarely ever eat when I'm *not* hungry, but the problem is, I'm *always* hungry now.

Is it possible you think that I've somehow managed to boost my metabolism by gaining muscle?

Anyway, hope you're back on again, bud. Like always, we all love hearing from you!!

hey everyone!

the weekend has started and i couldn't be more happy for it! Just a break from school and work is exactly what i needed and today is the day. Other than my evening workout, im not doing much at all, really just relaxing.

Rae!!!! My workout have been wierd lately sue to move in, job, and school so i decided right now would be better to just cut some and lose some of that unwanted flab. I plan on making the winter months my bulk phase * due to increased caloric intake and jackets to cover my weight gain :)

if your on a weight plan with your bowflex i could see you being hungrier. Listen to your body, and honestly if you see any negative effects to increased consumption, you can just diet for a bit. More muscle= better metabolism (in a sense)

Kim! thanks for stopping by and saying hi, im sure ill be rolling around to everyone's diary sometime today :)

Trevor, you should totally do this honey!! Us young ones don't have this chance very often! This is a once in a lifetime opportunity!!

Claresa, congratulations on your long running show! I've seen it only a handful of times, and find it not only knowledgeble, but thought provoking.

Trevor, bud, this is a great chance for you to share your story with the world! And you know, I'll still be here for you through it all!! (((Big hugs)))

Morning Everyone!

To update you all a bit, i currently weigh in at 170, and as of this Monday started a diet back up to cut down to 160...The past few months i have been on sort of a bulk to build lean muscle and i have gotten stronger mentally and physically, but as we all know, gaining weight also adds body fat, and i can feel myself putting on a bit of weight, so here i am cutting back down to 160 to restart another bulk. I will post pictures once i hit 160 again, for some opinions on bulking or cutting. I know Steve has some very good knowledge on building muscle mass, after all he was the one to help me set upa routine. I know lift weights 5 days a week, focusing on compound movements and super sets. It gets me results, but also unwanted body fat. Im nto going to let my fat gene take control, because ultimately im the one in charge. Wish me luck.

I have added 3 days of cardio into my routine as well to up my calorie burning...I'm currently taking in around 1800-2000 calories with high amounts of proteins, and whole grains stacked more in the mornings when i need them. Although i don't follow it perfectly, i know i will still see results.

Morning everyone,

Day 3 of my cut and everything is well, although i have to admit, i do enjoy eating more when i bulk, but I have to keep my eyes on the prize :). Yesterday was an off day from the gym, mainly because i was horribly tired and overwhelmed with work and school. Today is a variation of shoulders, triceps, and biceps, as well as some cardio and stretching. Lately i have been spending more time with stretching and breathing techniques to further my flexibility and to calm myself down. I guess you can almost call it yoga, but not all the way. I still haven't weighed myself, but im in no rush, because i got addicted to the damn scale the first time iw as losing weight. I'm going mostly by looking at myself on the mirror to see what i need to do more of to shape myself the way i want it. I had a good breakfast ( flax waffles and 4 egg whites yummy! ) and im now working on some homework to clear my afternoon for an hour or two of exercising. Im shooting for 1800-2000 calorie range today, but depending on my level in the weight room this may increase.

Wow 100lbs lost.. even if you've gained a bit back is awesome!! that was my initial goal.. but I lowered it a bit to make it seem more more obtainable.. anyways im off to bed.. but your doing great!

Hey you!!

Trevor, you've NO IDEA how much I miss you around here, honey!! I'm so glad you've updated at a time where I'm able to be on!!

Congrats on doing well on your cutting. I'm currently in that stage as well. I'm addicted to egg whites, chicken and peanut butter. I kid you not, a week before my TOM, I down at least two jars. Not neccessarily healthy for me, I know, but it gives me UBER stamina to go workout, I kid you not. LOL.

Wow, hon. I miss you and our AIM conversations like crazy!! You're just one of the good people of the world I can't get enough of.

Big hugs,hon!!

RACH!!!

Its so good to hear from you, and yes i miss our convos so much. Its good ot hear your doing well! Please don't be a stranger, we need to talk sometime when your free :).

Diet was off today but i figure one day out of the week wont hurt. I went over my limit but work and school prevented me from getting a long workout in. Tomorrow morning ill hit the weights and cardio hard, as well as keep my calories a bit lower. As for the Halloween weekend, im off to a ranch with a bunch of friends! I'm excited to just relax and hang out and my diet is going to be hard to follow but ill manage and use portion control.

Ill update in the morning kids!!

Trevor

I have today and tomorrow off, hon. If you want to have a late night chat, let me know. I also got unlimted txting on my phone, so if you want to take advantage, no problem. Ur just so much fun to talk to.

I have the utmost faith that you'll stick to your diet. It'll be hard, yes, but I trust you have your mind set on the future and that's where u are going to stay. It's always going to be an uphill strugge for us, deary. Life is a rollercoaster ride for us. But like I always say, it's our friends, family and love for learning that make it enjoyable. LOL.

Big hugs, honey!! I have to go!!

Evening everyone!

This weekend was awesome. I had some good times with all my friends, but not so good with diet. These next few days my calories are significantly lower to balance out my eating this weekend. I'm not sweating it, and im moving past it. I'm about to head out to go running then to the gym for a bicep workout, followed by some abs. Tomorrow i have a very busy day with school and work but ill probably still make some time for the gym, my calories tomorrow will be somewhere around 1600 and may vary depending on how intense of a workout. Remember they usually aren't that low but im balancing out form this past weekend.
