Evening Everyone,

Rainy, chilly, day in Texas today, which kind of limited activities on my birthday. My food intake has been extremely well today, mainly because i treated yesterday as my cheat day. Tonight i plan on just relaxing and planning out the next two days at the lake. Tomorrow morning i leave and will return Wednesday night, so this will most likely be my last update before Wednesday night....

I know its a lot harder to track calories when your at lake, so im going to implement moderation into everything i eat, as well as load up on apples, and other fruits as snacks to keep me full and away from chips. We are cooking steaks, but i figure if i have a plain one i should be alright. Well i got to go plan everything out.

Everyone have a good next couple of days and i shall return,

I'm sorry that I didnt pop in to wish you a Happy Birthday on the day itself - but accept my belated greetings to you.

I'm sorry about you having to wear glasses - the same thing happened to me when I was your age. It certainly took some getting used to. Hubby wears glasses and that fact certainly did nothing to put me off him. People can feel self-conscious about wearing them - but it is funny - I dont think that other people really notice or care.

As you know - I am getting on a bit - and my eyesight has changed again. I used to wear my glasses all the time - but got so that I was having to take them off to look at things that were close up. That means that I dont wear them for the vast majority of things. I would need to wear them if I was driving or watching television - but I see better without them for just about everything else. I therefore went from wearing glasses all the time to only wearing them to watch tv. The amount of people that I knew that knew that something had changed but couldnt work out what was silly. I came to the conclusion that people hardly seem to notice.

Thanks Kimberly and Margaret for the birthday wishes!!!! Overall my day was great, and only one more year until i can buy minors beer ;)


I actually talked with the eye doctor and she said i don't have to wear them 24/7 after all. However if my astigmatism gets any worse in my right eye, i must wear them full time. My next checkup is probably going to be a year from now so i have time to get used to everything. The glasses have been giving me headaches but now i only wear them when i read to stop myself from squinting. I had a waitress tell me i looked cute in them, so :).

Anyways, Camping was alright....last night was probably the worst sleep of my life, and we didn't end up actually swimming because it wasn't warm enough!! Im glad to be back in town, and pretty soon here i plan on heading downtown for SXSW 2008 (Its a music festival for anyone who didn't know). I plan on getting my calories back in check tomorrow as well, considering it was hard while camping. I plan on some volleyball soon, as the weather is very nice and sunny.

I will update more on my trip and something pretty funny that happened at the gas station yesterday afternoon.

Umm.. Volleyball? Did someone mention volleyball? I honestly might have to drive to Austin to play volleyball. haha. I'm up for volleyball ANYtime of year (as long as the colder times are court ball). hehe.

Happy belated birthday. Sorry I missed it and sorry camping wasn't all you wanted it to be. But hopefully you'll be camping pretty soon in the warmer weather.. but I guess by then it'll be too hot. LOL.

Well, today is officially the day im back on track. No more excuses because im going to achieve what i have always wanted. A body i can be proud of and show off!!!!! Im actually about to go to sleep, so i will update tomorrow morning!

Today has been a nice day so far... an hour in the weight room followed by a 2 mile run in the sunshine! I was actually happy about my run because i ran the whole 2 miles. Its amazing how much you can push yourself when your friends are with you. It may not seem like much, but i can only get better from here, and thats what im excited for. Right now i plan on relaxing and then heading downtown for SXSW for the rest of the night. I'm excited!!!

YEY!! Trevor I'm so proud of you!! You've come so far with your running. When I come to visit, you'll have to push out five and three quarters, bud. Then we'll have to race. LOL. Nah, I wouldn't do that to you. I like ya' too much. (((hugs)))

Volleyball is quite fun!! Thanks for the birthday wishes too. Camping really is fun, you just have to get used to the weather if you live in Texas during the summer. During the winter, camping is horrible IMO, so im a big fan of camping in the hot hot heat.

O ya, the gas station story, i almost forgot!

Well a little background information before i start the story. I got my drivers license picture taking when i turned 18, which was before my weight loss. I had a huge afro and a chubby face, and now im quite the opposite with short hair, and a slimmer face. Well me and my buddies decided to run to the gas station to grab some victory cigars :), just because its alright to sit around and smoke a cigar every once in a while. Well i was in a good mood and decided to buy, so of course i had to use my license to prove im at least 18. There was two cops at the gas station when we arrived there so the gas station clerk was already making sure he wasn't breaking the law in any way, so when i picked the cigars out, he asked me how old i was. I replied "I just turned 20, here is my license." When i handed him the license he stared at the picture and back at me for 2 minutes. He then replied "this looks nothing like you, where do you live?" SO i told him all the information i could, that was printed on the license and he still didn't believe me. I then pulled my college ID and showed him i was in fact Trevor Thomas, and that in fact was my drivers license. After another 5 minutes, he finally believed me and started asking me how i did it. It turned into a ten minute conversation, followed by an agreeance from all my buddies that its time for me to go to the DMV and get a new picture. The whole situation was quite funny, and made me feel good.

Spring break has been taking me away from focusing on the program you have set up for me, but tomorrow i head back to school and will have time to sit down and ask some questions i have. I have worked out this spring break, and know most of the exercises. Squats i suck at, and will continue to watch videos and practice. Food wise though hasn't been the greatest with my birthday, and partying with buddies. Monday though im back on. I figured one week would hurt :)

I will be getting back to you soon enough!
