Just got back from the gym and im enjoying my protein shake....yum

i got work from 3-9 and then im having a little party at my place....just a few people

I'll update around 10 all my caloric info since im too lazy to do it right now. ITS FRIDAY!!!

You've got your reps spot on for mass building, so long as you are doing the last one to failure or close to it. If not, you need more weight. (You may already know this stuff, but just trying to help.) It's actually better to have a little more and only be able to do 7 or 8 reps, so long as youre keeping good form.

About adding the 3 pounds in one week, I don't know. You might want to consult or search the internet about that. I know that it's very well possible to gain 3 pounds made (mostly) of straight up muscle.

You're going to love creatine. I'd suggest that you only use it when you get to a plateu, and you've done everything you can do to "shock" your muscles into growth before you go there. (search shocking muscles into growth on some of the meat head forums/sites). Once you've done all of that, follow the cycling instructions to a "T". AMAZING stuff to say the least. I've never done steroids before, but from what those who have done them tell me, creatine is as close to steroids as you can get. I was able to lift heavier, longer, didn't get as sore and fealt pumped for longer. But again, make sure you've gotten to the natural plateu point first, then follow the cycle to a "T". Do this and I personally promise you great results and happiness to follow.

BTW, are you an endoomorph, ectomorph, mesomorph? It's important to know, so you can have a better tailored work out. Judging by the weight you were at, I'd say you are an mesomorph (maybe endomorph). Gaining muscle should be easier for you than most. So love the type of body you have. When it comes to body building, you are blessed!

It makes me want to pump iron too (but I'm not ready yet).
I do have free weights up to 50Lbs and a bench-i guess I could start (again).
I'm going to stop talking now coz I sound like a basket case! LOL :blush5:

I actually meant i don't want to gain weight too fast....i want around 3-7 pounds a month max. As far as my plateau, i believe that i have and im starting creatine tom! i will let you know how it goes. I still worry about gaining fat back, but i realize if i push myself in the weight room, most will be muscle. Fingers crossed.
 
Finished today off around 2500 calories!

225g protein for the day as well...

The gym felt great and i felt full of power, and hopefully all this hard work will pay off.

Tomorrow i introduce creatine in and im shooting for around 2500-2800 calories. I am staying away from the scale until next week and i realize that creatine will most likely increase my weight by up to 10 pounds! I'm not saying it will, but i have been reading up on it. Alone the calorie count for creatine tomorrow is 560 so i will be consuming around 2000 calories from food/shake. I have been feeling a bit gassy but i think its due to the change in diet these past couple of days.

Anyone interested in my progress keep on reading, i will have some pictures up at the end of this month.....and hopefully i will be satisfied.

I woke up, cleaned the trashed apartment from last nights antics, and then took my first dose of creatine for the day. I stand at 500 cals, 42g protein, 59g carbs, and 9g fat for the day.

I'm about to hit the gym up for a serious workout....and ill update after.
 
Back from work and still feeling great....the creatine is messing with my digestive system today, but i read that its normal during the loading phase. Im about to go out to dinner with some friends and then take it easy the rest of the night because i got work from 9-5 tom...

Tomorrow is an off day in the gym and i will continue on my creatine loading phase. I thought staying away from the scale was going to be hard but it is actually very easy. The worst i can expect from next weeks scale reading is 10 pounds, which i doubt most seriously....but im sure i will see a good amount of weight gain.

Well im off to Texas Roadhouse! yum, steakkkkk
 
Well we didnt end up going out to eat so i stayed here and cooked me up some lean beef and a sweet potato.....

i ended up finishing the night off with a 10g fiber totrtilla with reduced fat cheese...yum

well im sore and tired so im off to bed so everyone have a great night.

What a DAY....

Work was busy and long, but it all paid off watching the giants beat the most hated team in the NFL...even though i hate the giants as well.

Hit around 215g of protein and 3000 calories and im done with my creatine for the day. I tell you im already feeling different from the creatine as i am now finished wit day 2 of the loading phase. Im very shore on my shoulders which means i must of had a good workout yesterday! Today was an off day and a rest catch up day, and i am hitting the bed early tonight just because im tired. Tomorrow i am hitting the gym around 9 for a chest and triceps day and then to class from 12-6...

I'm weighing in tomorrow morning as soon as i awake just to see where i stand. I expect to see higher numbers and im preparing myself to deal with those. Going from dieting to bulking is very hard psychologically since im used to seeing numbers going down. My friends and articles online suggests that i keep on going in the same direction, so i will continue to focus on muscle gain in hopes that it will pay off in the future. I just want to have a lean good looking body and im going to work hard for that.

Well i have some cleaning to do so i will check y'all later. Have a good evening and i will see y'all tomorrow.

Well short update tonight--really busy, sorry folks.

Day 3 of creatine is almost done, just one more serving. I weighed in at 150 this morning so have gained around 2-3 pounds. I didn't freak which was good and then i hit the gym for a chest/triceps/abs. School was long and i got really hungry near the end but now im stuffed. Im finishing around 3000 again today with over 200g protein and 300g carbs (damn creatine is 150g of carbs alone). Fiber was up today and i feel great.

Well i got to go back to homework so everyone have a nice night.

What i forgot to mention was that i feel as if i worry way too much about gaining to the point where my roommates joke as if im anorexic which isnt the case. I have been overweight my entire childhood, victim to others and left out of social events. Since my weight loss i have always worried of even putting a pound on and im not exactly sure how much i should be eating because i worry about the amount of weight i will gain from it. Its a psychological problem i am trying to overcome, so hopefully with this journal it will help a bit. I still dont like the way i look and my body fat is extremely high for my weight.

This is kind of funny cause i read your first post and me and you have the exact same situation. And i am and have been worried about gaining weight like you but the diffrence is i got really depressed and actually gained the weight back.But now im definitly going to get back into shape. Hang in there ive been there myself.

I woek up at 6 am, ate 6 egg whites and then hit the gym for a shoulders/legs/back workout. Took about 45 minutes to do everything. This week Im just trying to get in the hang of things, especially since some of these lifts i have never done before. Some areas of my body are sore and some arent, which is good but i feel so lanky right now. Needless to say the creatine is working and im bloating up like a sore thumb. I'm still working really hard on keeping myself on the right path. Today im shooting for 2700 cals (200g pro, 300g carb, 80g fat) and tomorrow on my off day i am shooting for 2500cals (225g pro, 150g carb, 80g fat) just because i need to keep carbs down. The last thing i want to do is gain all my weight back....

I have decided to bulk to around 170...and then im going to begin cutting. That should take about 3 months to get too so hopefully the weight gain is in the good direction, instead of the bad.

Well im about to go drink a shake so everyone have a nice day, i will update later after class.

I'm going down on the calories because im not exactly sure how much weight im gaining from these excess calories. I want minimal fat gain and eating way over a certain limit in undoing everything i have worked so hard for. Tomorrow is an off day in the gym so im using that to rest and relax. Its also the last day of my creatine loading which means i wont be bringing in as many carbs after tomorrows caloric intake. lol yes i can tell your a mom alright!
 
I got a much needed 10 hours of sleep last night. After work i finished homework and then just crashed. Woke up feeling great, just really sore, especially in my legs. Hopefully thats a good sign that my leg workout is effective. Today is an off day in the gym and i got class from 12-6. I have a lot of homework though and im kinda excited about Thursday because im going home this weekend. No class on Fridays for me so after my noon class tomorrow im hitting the road.

Anyways....I started the day with 6 egg whites, a little bit of onions and a little bit of spinach mixed in. Yum... 36g protein,180 calories
 
I cant do this creatine thing to my body. I'm stopping as of right now because i don't like the way it settles in my body. I believe that i can achieve strength and fitness without it and after 5 days of use i am deciding to stop. I'm trying to be someone im not, a bodybuilder. I just want to be fit and in great shape and im going about the wrong way of doing those. I was much happier dieting and running, instead of eating and lifting.

I tried creatine before and i dident like it either. I dont think its to good for your body either.
