Trevor's Journey

Are you taking a multi vitamin? Working out and eating strict can allow room for drainage of certain vitamins. If you haven't been taking one you might want to. I'm not saying that you can't get enough or at least close to enough vitamins from food. It's just that most of us dieters don't eat a full, well rounded vitamin packed menu. I had this happen to a friend. He started taking a multi and was cured!

ya i take a mens multivitamin every morning

I woke up today feeling so much better and i got a good amount of sleep. No more headache at all. I got class until 130 pm and im about to leave for the first one.

Today for breakfast i had the usual Fiber One cereal with nonfat milk and a banana. That puts me at almost 300 calories for the day, with 15 grams of fiber already taken care of.

I'm not planning on working out today because i have two tests that i need to study for this afternoon. I may try to do something though at least.

I haven't weighed myself in a few days, which im proud to say is an accomplishment in my book considering i used to be glued to that thing. Last time i checked though no gain, which is fine with me!

I hope everyone has a great day, and i will see yall later!

Its nice to be done with class for the day, especially when you don't have to work right after. In a few minutes i will be off to the gym to work out for a bit.

For lunch i had a sandwich with a side of carrots...twas good indeed.
I'm still pretty low on calories for the day (750 calories) but with my protein shake and all, i should come out around 2000 calories for the day.

Since my illness yesterday i have been drinking water every chance i get.

A good day at the gym followed up by a good finish at around 2000 calories...

I feel great right now, and my focus is towards my tests on Thursday. Tomorrow I wont have time to workout because of school but I will try and at least get a little movement or some push ups and sit ups in throughout the day. I also just installed my chin up bar in my door frame so every time i walk out i do a few of those.

I'm still freaking out about eating more and im worrying too much about fat gains, i guess because i don't want to lose everything i have accomplished so far.

Well im off to study and then bed....Class at noon tomorrow so not too bad.

Started off the day with fiber one and a banana putting my calories at or around 350-400. I feel great energy wise and im going to go run for 30 minutes before classes. I will update this afternoon.

Have a great day everyone!!

Halfway done with the day and about to study for my tests tom...

I stand at or around 1200 for the day inlcuding a 400 calorie whey protein shake and a kashi granola bar to curb my appetite. I wont be able to eat again until 6 but i can make it.

Im still feeling decent, a bit tired, but thats only because im stressing about the first rounds of tests i have tom! wish me luck, i will post back tonight

Today and for the rest of the week im trying something different. As i was talking with my roommates and some of their friends, a couple of "swole" guys told me i should consider building my body up. After talking to them for a couple hours about their routine i have decided that starting today i would a) 1-1.5g protein /ib of body weight ( i know its really supposed to be 1 gram per ib of lean muscle, but im shooting for a gram per pound, b) set up a new lifting schedule which i start today, and c)keep close track of my calories going in.

I will try and eat around 2500-3000 calories a day for two weeks and will check my progress at the end of those two weeks in hopes that i have had some "newbie" muscle gains.

DAY 1:

For breakfast i had:
-6 egg whites= 30 calories(6)= 180 calories [36g protein]
-1 whole egg= 70 calories [6g protein, 4g fat, 0g carbs]
-2 pieces of double fiber bread= 100 calories [6g protein, 1g fat, 26g carbs, 10g fiber]
-Multivitamin
-16.9 fl oz of water

I plan to eat a medium sized apple as well adding another 80 calories and 20 g carbs/ 3 g fiber.

which puts me so far at: 430 calories [48g protein, 5g fat, 13g fiber, 46g carbs(apple)]

The reason im only considering bringing in 3000 calories is because im not ready for a "bulk" diet. They suggested i focus on learning how to eat more instead of jumping right in. With a "just above" consumption of calories of my maintenance level, the process will be slow and i wont be putting on as much fat as i could be when eating 4-5000 calories. Slow building lean muscle is what i want, and i am pretty focused on getting such results. I need to step it up in the gym, and start pushing myself, but at the same time not over train.

4 days a week in the gym, each day focusing on a different muscle group. I will post my exercises later seeing as i have to go take a test very soon. Wish me luck and i hope everyone has a great day!

Total for day: [750 calories, 62g protein, 24g fat, 71g carbs, 20g fiber]

Once i get home for lunch, and before work:

-Sweet Potato= [200 calories/cup (200g), 4g protein, 0g fat, 41g carbs, 7g fiber]
-Lean Beef= [300 calories, 50g protein, 9g fat]
Total for day:[[1250 calories, 116g protein, 33g fat, 112g carbs, 27g fiber]

In between classes right now and feeling full of energy!

I nailed that first test, and im ready to take the next. Once i get out of class, im hitting the weight room up for a good hour to focus on chest and make sure i have the exercises down and that im doing them properly. Most likely i will lift light today to ensure that i do it right.

I stand at 750 calories as of right now, with 2250 to go...dang thats alot. Hopefully this new attempt will help instead of hurt. I know i will gain a bit of fat, but hopefully most will be lean muscle. I am weighing in tom morning and then two weeks after that to see what 3000 calories does to me. If i gain weight, then i will continue at 3000, but if i see no progress im upping my consumption to 3500.

Im loving this new way of working on my muscle. Its so much food though. I'm at 1800 calories for the day and its almost 3....and im supposed to eat 1200 more! AHHHHH!

yay for calling me booty!!!! lol

how is your day going?

End of Day 1!!!

I hit 3000 calories today, which is crazy!!
Tomorrow i am aiming for the same amount and introducing creatine into my new diet. I'm feeling great and really full and i drank plenty of water today.

Hopefully tomorrow i will wake up feeling refreshed and ready to tackle the day!

goodnight everyone!

Trevor

Smart move to lift light and learn proper form. A lot of people are intimidated/embarrased by lifting lighter because of other guys pumping big iron may see them. Lifting too heavy can not only injure, but reduce your gains. Properly lifted weight, with proper reps & amounts will get your bulk up faster. The extra muscle helps in your weight loss quest too (needs calories to feed it).

Also, congrats on the test. I'm sure it's a good feeling after all of the study time.

Woke up today feeling good.

Already ate breakfast, it consisted of 6 egg whites, 1 whole egg, and two pieces of toast (same as yesterday) as well as my multivitamin and 16.9 fl oz of water.
That puts me at 350 calories for the day and [48g protein, 5g fat, 26g carbs, 10g fiber]. I'm shooting for around 2500 today, just because i think 3000 is too high for a clean bulk to occur.

The only way i can figure out if this is working is by close weight watching. Next week at this time i will weigh in and see if i have gained. If i have gained like 3 pounds than im eating way too much, which means way too much fat. Since im a fat phob i don't want too much gain in that category, especially when im focusing on muscle gain.

You’re so funny! I'm glad you are feeling good!
How are you going to deal with the "STUPID BOWL" weekend Parties?

We go to "Sea World" because the only people there are about 4 American families and about 100 Asians on vacation!
It’s like having the park to your self! :driving:
LOL-Have a great Weekend!!!!! :)

LOL-Have a great Weekend!!!!! :)

As far as parties go this weekend, the only one im going to is tonight after work and its actually here at my apartment. Sunday i work 9-5 and then im just going to relax and watch two teams that i absolutely hate play each other with my roommates. As far as eating is concerned when it comes to super bowl game time, im going to stay clear away from any unnecessary carbs/fats. I may be eating more, but everything i eat is going to be healthy.

Sea world! i haven't been there in years! let me know how that goes and if its still worth going too after all these years.

Getting ready to go to the gym in the next half hour to focus on triceps and back.

-Lateral Pull-Down 4x7
-Seated Row 4x10
-Seated Wide-Grip Row 4x10
-Triceps Push-Down 4x10
-Triceps Extension 4x7
-Close grip pushups 5x5
-Bent over Two Dumbbell row 4x10
-Chin ups 5x2

I think i have the main bulk of these exercises down, so that i have proper form when i lift. I don't want to over do it but i think this is the right amount for me, since i have been lifting for a while.
