Travis's Weight Loss Diary

They should rename November to month that made me fall off the wagon. It was a horrible month for me. Limited working out, and eating was bad. I feel terrible and all that hard work from before, well it isn't gone im sure I didn't gain back 30 pounds but yeah it wasn't good. But what is good is that December is a new month. Full of potential. So this Friday I'll get my new starting weight logged in and the journey will begin again.

Jess I am sorry for not being around but im back now and ready to harp on you some more!! =)

So today didn't start great I didn't eat breakfast. I know not good but I didn't have time nor did I have anything in the house worth eating. I need to get to the store today. But lunch I will go get my sandwich and then after work ill hit the store up. If the weather is decent I will get my run in if its not I am going to do some sort of exercise in house.

I can't wait for this gym to open up across from my office its going to give me a lot more options in terms of work outs. With the weather we have had here in Seattle the past little bit a run outside not only isn't fun but insane. It rained so much yesterday. I have lived in Seattle for over 20 years and I have never seen it rain like it did yesterday. It was crazy.

Anyway I must get back to work but I am planning on December being a good month. Talk to you all soon!
 
December IS going to be a good month! I have six months to be hot for a wedding, so yeah, I need you to harp on me :rolleyes:
Thats cool that a gym is opening up across from your work. I'm still considered a sub for Oz Fitness here, so I still have the free membership, and I didn't use it ONCE during The Month That Made Us Quit. That changes this month. When I workout, I lose faster, so duh! lol...

Glad to see you are back on board my friend! I missed you! Don't worry- everyone has good and bad months. I have no doubt December will be great.

Hey Travis! Its been a few days since you've been on, so this is your wake up call!! We have ten lbs. to lose this month, remember?? Get your butt in here man!!
 
Heya everyone. Ok so its Friday and I intend on weighing in after my run this afternoon for my "New" Start weight after my month hiatus. I am excited and nervous to see the damage I have done but at least its another beginning and this beginning still is much better than where I was when I started back then. Anyway short post for now I will post a longer one this evening after I have weighed in!
 
Ok

so a good run today it feels really good to get back onto that aspect. When o got home i hopped on teh scale to see the damage i did to myself. When i last weighed in I was at 290 and today i weighed in at 296.9. So yes damage was done but nothing i can't recover from right?

I will run everyday this weekend and on sunday after the Hawks game i intend to walk home. All in all im feeling good and am ready to get back on my journey.

Jess, my goal is 286 by the end of the month lets hear yours!!!
 
Travis: I WILL be posting my weight tomorrow...Gonna weigh myself on that horrible talking scale at GNC. Should be interesting.
Hows that gym coming along across from your work? Gonna be done soon?
 
What a weird weekend. Saturday was the Company Xmas party which was alright. A co-worker punched one of our Crew guys and got arrested and now suspended. I don't understand how you can go to a company function and get in a fight. Anyway, the next day the Seahawks wrapped up their 4th straight division title and are set for the playoffs. Very exciting stuff.

Yesterday I came home to find taht someone had broken into my apartment. They stole my ipod and about 50 DVD's. I find it odd that that was all they took when there was a lot more valuable stuff around. I suppose I am lucky. It is hard to let myself get to angry about it, I mean I am but really what can I do about it?? Nothing. Just lock up and hope for the best.

Anyway I think I am going to find some good results this week. The eating so far has been good and running is happening. I am not sure if I will get a run in today but if I can't Ill try to hit the bowflex for a brief stint or something.


Jess- yeah the gym is really close they are hoping to be open before Xmas but I think that might be a lofty goal I think they are looking at more like the 1st of the year. but when its in I will be fantastic.
 
Ok Travis- I work at GNC tomorrow, so I'll be weighing myself(eek!) and WILL be posting it, no matter how ugly the number... I did put up a kinda before and after thing in my journal... Not the best but its an idea of how fat I USED to be, lol. Still there, but not for much longer! Hope ya had a good workout :)
 
I'm so sorry about your ipod and dvds! That sucks and is awful... I am anxious to hear the numbers you dropped this week - as you said it was a good week. Keep writing! :)
 
Sorry to hear that work is stressing you out! I hate work. I wanna win the lottery and sit on my butt all day. Psh. First of all, ya gotta buy lotto tickets, and I don't ever do that, and second, I'd get bored, lol. Soooo, I'm stuck with work.

Thank god the holiday's are over. Its been a rough patch but a new year bring new opportunities to better myself. Good news is the gym across the street from my office had its grand opening today. Starting tomorrow I pack a gym bag with me when I go to work. This will be great the temptations of being lazy when I get home from work will be fine now since I will be heading home after hitting up the gym.

I am keeping this same diary as my weight loss is still in progress. But this is a fresh start. I think with all the stress of late and the holiday's I really lost my focus. But now that I have a new focus and energy im happy to say im going to really get back to posting updates everyday even if its a small two sentence thing. Just something to keep me honest. My goal was to be down that 100 pounds total and I don't know if I can do that by June however im still hanging in the 290's so I am down 20+ so far. That's a good start.

Anyway a start is always good.

Just to recap the foods today for breakfast I had some granola, the serving size was 30g and I have a nice scale at home so I measured it out. I also had an apple and a banana. Then for lunch I went to subway and got a turkey ham 6" sub. Dinner tonight I intend on cooking a chicken breast with broccoli and brussle sprouts.

I need to up my water intake a lot I have been slacking there so ill try to get a couple more bottles down.

I hope all is well if it isn't raining when I get home I will do my old run and then. If it is raining ill try to do something else. Rain wont be a factor tomorrow though woohoo im pretty excited. I think I am gonna try a personal trainer too they offer them at this gym if its not too pricey I think that will really help me.

Ok all for now I hope everyone is doing well!!
 
Quick post for now. Breakfest was solid and the usual granola apple and banana. Then lunch was turkey ahm sandwhich with another apple. I am drinking lots of water.

Today is the first day at the new gym which jsut opened so I am hoping to get a really good workout in! I am going ot look at personal trainers while i am there. I think using one is going to really help me get on track and meet my goals.

I also took quality Starting photo's in a shirt that doesnt fit me now but is onet aht I hope to fit into soon. I'll plan on taking new photos on the start of each month and log them so i can review my progress. Anyway kinda swamped at work so this is brief ill talk aobut the gym later crossing my fingers it will be nice.
 
So i weighed in last night and my new start weight is 299.8. Thanks god i didnt go over 300 i would have been really pissed and stuff. I know i missed it by .2 but hey i missed it and i didnt see a 3.

Anyway dinner last night was really good, chicken and lots of veggies. I made it to my gym after work too. Its brand new as i mentioned and pretty nice. There are tons of machines and free weights, a basketball court, racket ball, a pool and from teh looks of it a spinning room and a kickboxing room. I spent yesterday all on cardio. I did 45 mins and the coutner said i ran 3.33 miles which was more than my normal run. It felt good to get back on that and now if i can stick with it.

I plan on heading over again here when i get outta the office in about an hour. Should be a good way to start the weekend.

That coupled with a good performance by the seahawks tomorrow will make me a very happy camper! Hope all is well with everyone and thanks for stopping by!
 
I'm so glad you are in the 200's :)... The holidays were ROUGH for me weight wise... we need to get back on track hardcore! You sound like you are donig well this week. Keep me updated! Have a great day. Don't work too hard
 
The new gym has been great. I think the extra work I will be putting in is really going to pay off. I also officially signed up with a personal trainer. This will help keep me honest and on track. From just the first couple workouts with a trainer I can tell that I really was lost in terms of lifting and technique. This trainer will really help me with that. So my weigh in last week was at 299.8 and today before I came into work I weighed in again. And the weight has started to come off again. I weighed in this morning at 297.3, I was pretty happy with that.

Friday I worked my arms shoulders and chest and over the weekend I was soooooo sore. I am sorta recovered now however a few aches and pains here and there. Sunday to work off my sorrow from the Seahawks loss I did 70 mins of cardio which was a little crazy but I was watching the other football game and just kinda loss track of time. Those elliptical machines are pretty nice and it really beats running outside in the rain.

Tonight I meet with my trainer and we are doing measurements. I guess it means an assortment of things from actual size measurements to what I can lift and such. Should be cool to see how weak I am now and in 6 months where I will be.
