Off to go try and bathe my cat now!
It may be sacrilege but have you considered healthifying the mac&cheese? My go-to is the largest bowl of macaroni and cheese, so I'll have to find a way to substitute that!

To be perfectly honest, I am doing more like MIIT. Moderate Intensity Interval Training. I know recovery is extremely important, so I rest up adequately in between workouts! That sounds like a workout in itself... Skipping a day on the elliptical sometimes is probably a good idea (assuming you´re as gung-ho about your cardio as you are about your HIIT).
I actually have not, but thank you very much for the recipe! It's not a bad idea at all!It may be sacrilege but have you considered healthifying the mac&cheese?
Thanks for the support, Brawny! Momentum is strong moving into my second week. I like to plan one day at a time, so that I have something to look forward to each day. If I set up my menu for the full week, I lose interest quickly.Hi
Good first week
Keep that momentum going!
I find menu planning helpful as well
You're welcome! I'm glad we're all here for each other that way!Thank you for allaying my concern. I find I just can't help it!
I started bathing him from day one, when we took him home from the shelter. I am allergic to cats, but not enough that some regular vacuuming and occasional bathing can't fix! The most I'll get from him is the saddest eyes, but they don't last long. He doesn't hold a grudge!I cracked up laughing when I read you were bathing your cat! Oh my goodness. Isn't that dangerous?
You are really killing it on the diet front. Keep up the good work!!
You have also inspired me to try the freshly shaven legs and flannel. I'm sure my hubby will appreciate the tip.
Rock it out today, sister.
Well, thank you, Cate! I work on that positivity, it's not something that usually comes to me!You are such a cheery, motivational person yourself, Liz.
Hang on hon: you lost 9.8 lbs in a week, right? That´s A LOT. Way too much if it hadn´t been the first week. So don´t you tell me about your metabolism slowing down young ladyFirstly, and negatively, it's a lot harder to lose weight when you're 30 as opposed to 20! No shit, you're probably thinking, but I didn't really expect to see the scale sit at the same weight for almost 5 days.

Thanks so much, LaMa.Hang on hon: you lost 9.8 lbs in a week, right? That´s A LOT. Way too much if it hadn´t been the first week. So don´t you tell me about your metabolism slowing down young lady. It may well do so, however, if you try to eat 1200 kcal/day for a significant period of time. Don´t you go crash-dieting when you´re doing so well, please!
Congratulations on an amazing first week
HUGS ALL AROUNDStarting weight: 210.6 lbs
Current weight: 200.8 lbs (-9.8 lbs)
Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with the results of my first week.
Thank you for the congratulations. You're absolutely right.Lol understatement of the week perhaps?
That I can understand. How about a new mantra? I worked so hard and did so well; I deserve to reap the benefits long-term so I won´t be endangering my progress with something as silly as a burger. Or, should you crave burgers, you can make them at home. Burgers don´t have to be bad.I think that I am not celebrating too much because I know that I tend to then say to myself, "hey, now I can relax a little. Let's have a burger!"

I like this mantra! That's pretty much the mindset I've had about this. I do have a cheat planned this weekend for my sister-in-law's brunch. I checked the menu out ahead of time and the healthiest I can get is the steak & eggs, so I'm going to have the steak & eggs darn it, and I'm not going to feel an ounce of guilt over it!"I worked so hard and did so well; I deserve to reap the benefits long-term so I won´t be endangering my progress with something as silly as a burger."
Thank you for your kind words, Care. I'm definitely not going to be going backwards in time.I must admit if I had lost that I would be crying tears of joy! Actually, even half that! Be proud of every victory Liz. You are not going to go backwards this time. We have faith in you
THANK YOU! I'm glad to hear that I can inspire just by working on myself! We all know it's helpful to surround yourself with good company and I certainly am surrounding by plenty of that here! I'm rooting for you just as much as you are for me!Damn, girl - you are seriously killing it! I'm totally inspired! Five freakin inches off your waist - WTG!
