TipsyToes Weight Loss Mission

I love the idea of invisibility dance parties!
I've only just discovered this is a thing, but they're so popular!! It's awesome!

Heading off to visit the boyfriend for a week! This is always the part where I gain SO MUCH weight over a week and a half, lose all motivation and spiral into a pit of weight gain and self loathing.

But I'm super prepared this time so fingers crossed I come back actually having LOST weight for a change!

So I ended up eating a maintenance days calories after having a snack on the plane and some wine (I was so hungry!!). So I wasn't going to count today's Net calories to balance it out. However I did about 500kcal of exercise, so I'm counting that part.

NET Total: 20,555 / 134,300kcal

17/7/16 - another update from my phone!

Did pretty good, had the beetroot salad when we went out for lunch and only had three squares of chocolate as I watched my boyfriend eat a family block to himself!!! Everything else went to plan.

We also did about an hour of walking. Which I hope counteracted the chocolate. (It wasn't the lowest calorie chocolate around)

Going to give myself a 500kcal deficit as I'm not sure about the salad. I'm pretty happy with this, considering what my usual weekends here are like.

NET Total: 21,055/134,300

Happy Clothing Update:
  • My "pleather" jacket suddenly fits over my hips without my fat bulging under it!!!
  • I almost have no muffin top in my jeans - hooray!
  • My blue work shirt is really loose and flowy - good cause I'm smaller, bad cause it looks better tighter. But now I can tuck it into high waisted skirts! yay!!

Weigh-Day Update:
Unfortunately the dinner reservation has been pushed back to November. But I'm still going to work toward the 16th of September as my weigh day. Hopefully my goal dress won't be too loose anywhere (like my fast shrinking boobs!) by the time of the dinner. Might be investing in some additional padding there for the dinner hahaha

My Rock:
So while my boyfriend continues to battle his never ending addiction to chocolate and wine/beer, he has succeeded at being supportive of me and my diet goals.

He has stopped constantly offering me the unhealthy things he snacks on, doesn't encourage me to drink anymore and keeps the snacks out of my line of sight (this helps me so much!). He is also finally getting that I am an VERY SMALL person.

He's even coming out for big walks with me! We walked for 1.5hrs AFTER his rugby game. And this is coming from a man who HATES walking anywhere; rugby and gym - no problem, but walking? Nuh-uh! I'm sure the Pokemon Go is helping. :) But he only re-downloaded it for me so we could walk together. So I'm really grateful.

And the best part, so many compliments and words of encouragement! :) "I can't stop checking out your butt", "you're feeling so much smaller in my arms, I can tell you're losing weight", "you're looking really good", "seriously, how much weight have you lost?!" etc. He is being so sweet about it all. I have no idea how big of a change there really is (I mean it's only been 2.5 weeks since he last saw me), but it's definitely helping.

I love this man so much!! <3 :beating::beating::beating::beating::beating:

A Tribute To My Favourite Breakfast:
I miss my cheese toasties already :( I have flavoured chia seed/porridge sachets and raspberry porridge sachets. Not a fan. I mean they taste great... And I don't feel hungry for HOURS. But such a disappointing breakfast!

I like my daily dose of cheese, tomato/onion/mushrooms and bread. It may not be as healthy or low-GI... But it tastes amazing, it's hot, makes everyone else in the office jealous and contains 10g's of protein, which I consider pretty darn good for what it is! It's like a treat every morning (without actually being "bad"). It's my comfort food. It makes Monday's in the office worth turning up for. There is a cheese and tomato toastie shaped whole in my life until I return to Sydney.

Well done on showing self-restraint TT
Thank you! :)

Yep. And on getting some veggies in even though you´re staying with your bf.
Hahaha it's definitely tougher than it should be!

Wow! You go months between weigh ins? Very disciplined of you! Your menu looks interesting, where are you from? I'm from Ohio :)

20/7/16 - 58 days until weigh day

Having a rest day and working from home. Hopefully I'll kick this sickness once and for all. Staying on track with the diet and walking a little less than usual. If I stay on this track, I should hopefully weigh around the 60kg mark, which will be great!

Real Cooking:
Got to cook my boyfriend a Bacon Cheeseburger Pie! Was a lot of fun getting to cook again :D And it's a nice change being able to use all the right full-fat ingredients, instead of making everything a super healthy/bulk meal-prep type dish. Though I do love a creative challenge.

Exercise Update:
Been walking everywhere with Pokemon Go. Such great exercise! I've even planned a Pokemon Go double date with my friend and her husband (another couple doing long distance) for when we are all back in Sydney together.

Excited to try the "No Lights" dance group here in Melbourne tomorrow too! It's a type of exercise I am happy to incorporate into my life. There are A LOT of these dance groups here in Melbourne (it's a very Melbourne thing to do), so I assume it's popular here too.

Thank you! I tend to avoid weigh in's haha! But find other ways to measure and track my progress like, counting the cumulative calorie deficit and measuring my waist. I'm from Sydney, Australia.

Exercise Update:
Did some more walking and went to the No Lights dance thing. Was nowhere near as busy as the one in Sydney. But still lots of fun!!

It's weird, but in my head, exercise always seemed like so much effort, and something I really wanted to avoid. But simply walking everywhere is something simple, fun and easy to incorporate into my life. Sure it doesn't burn as many calories as an exhausting, painful run, but it's actually enjoyable! It's never going to make me super fit, but getting active is always great.

I'm trying to find things I can enjoy doing long term, even after my diet is over. I really need a maintenance strategy I can stick to, and I think this will be great in terms of getting active.

Walking is much better for you than you think. I must get back into it!
It is a lot of fun if you have somewhere nice to go! Melbourne is better for walking than where I am in Sydney. But I definitely need to make up a purpose for the walk - walk to the cinemas, buying a tomato from a shop 1hr away, picking up a diet coke, catching Pokemon haha

Soooo... I exercised a lot (think an extra 400-600kcal each day), ate extremely lightly one day, met calories another and over indulged another. Going to gloss over the weekend and hope they average out.

26/7/16
Got a little carried away with the chocolate today :/ 1 piece did not stay as 1 piece. Thank god they were small and I could talk myself down from eating more.

Been a bit chaotic these past few days, which always makes diets tough for me. Definitely need that routine. My brother has left chocolates and biscuits everywhere... It's easiest if I never start, than to stop after 1!

Waist Update: Down another 1cm! Officially in the 60cm's at 69.5cm.

Progress Photos: So I've been taking photos every couple of weeks and the progress is crazy!! Boobs have shrunk a lot (but I didn't need a photo to tell me that...) But so has my middle and hips!! Legs and butt are still the same. Once my waist hits 65cm I may post a photo. Changes definitely show up fast on a small body!

Work dinner tomorrow night :S Not really sure what to expect... Also probably won't get any exercise. Oh well. Hopefully it won't be heavy on the drinking.

Had a good day today! Bought some cans of low calorie veggies to add to my meals; canned mushrooms, baby corn, asparagus, sauerkraut and baby potatoes. Also got in a lot of walking and Pokemon catching.

Feeling a lot better! Think I just needed a day or two to get back on track. Ate to my calorie limit AND got in a ton of exercise (my feet are covered in blisters though ughh). Just got to stick to it again tomorrow and I think I'll be back on the right path. I tend to struggle with getting back into my diet whenever I change states.

Wasn't the healthiest day, but I ate everything in moderation which was very good! It was pretty hot walking in the sun so I admit I bought some ice cream. But chose the low cal options and was totally worth it. Even managed to stick to a single piece of chocolate, rather than half the box!
