TipsyToes Weight Loss Mission

Absolutely stunning dress TT. You will be gorgeous in it by Summer I'm sure.
Well done on choosing the healthy salad. Next time you do go out for lunch ask if you can have the dressing on the side & then you can add however much you like. Sometimes you can & sometimes you can't.

Hi TipsyToes! That is such a nice dress! Im sure you will look great in it. Also can totally relate on the pear shape problems haha.

Going to chime in that I looooove that dress as well, TT! I can only dream of wearing something so form fitting someday. You are going to look absolutely stunning in it! ?

Hi,

Mega Update: So didn't do great over the weekend :S Ended up being too busy to even get a chance to jump on the computer from Friday-Monday!

1/7/16 (Friday) -
So I didn't get the chance to click post reply on Friday! Waist measurement for Friday morning was 72cm. Unfortunately I cannot remember what I ate... BUT I had already added it up and know it came to a 550kcal deficit.

Total: 1050/1600kcal = 550kcal
NET Total: 13,950/134,300kcal

2/7/16 (Saturday) - Totalled approximately 1600kcal. So nothing over, but definitely not under... 80% of my calories came from booze though :S Was a big night... But got to have a great catch up with all the boyfriends family which was great! :) Doesn't happen a lot because he's away so much.

3/7/16 (Sunday) - Definitely over my calories... Not anything too insane. But probably an extra day of diet required to balance it out. VERY hung over.... :( So many regrets. Went out for a brunch with some friends and got mushrooms on toast with a side of eggs, then had 1/2 a popcorn at the movies with a large diet coke and a veggie burger and chips for dinner. Not HUGELY terrible, but definitely over.

4/7/16 (Monday) - The funeral was today. It was actually very nice and, despite being a sad occasion, ended up a lot of fun having a day with the extended family. Skipped breakfast. Had a light lunch. Heavy dinner and a few drinks. Today also probably added an extra day of dieting before I start counting again. But my lovely boyfriend got approval from all my extended family which was nice! He's definitely a keeper, despite being bad for the waistline.:):beating:

5/7/16 (Tuesday) - Dropped the boyfriend off at the airport at 5am this morning. Was on track again today! Despite having a catered lunch at work, I did quite well. But I'll start counting NET calories after tomorrow.

Breakfast:
250kcal - Cheese & Tomato Toastie
Lunch:
350kcal - 1/4 Salad Sandwich, 1/4 Egg & Salad Sandwich & 1/2 Falafel and Salad Wrap
Dinner:
315kcal - JC, Veggie Fried Rice
Milk:
75kcal - Tea's, Coffee's & Cocoa's
Snacks:
90kcal - Glass of Champagne

Total: 1080/1600kcal = 520kcal

Sounds like you had a pretty crazy time. And you know what? It's ok to not lose weight on days like that. In fact: I'm very impressed you managed to keep your calories to maintenance despite everything. Well done!

6/7/16 - I'm getting a cold! D: Have spent all day at the office coughing. Had a few sugar-free dry cough lozenges to stop myself coughing all over my pregnant boss! I'm going to count it at around 15kcal each, as I could only see nutrition info on one pack of cough drops and they were 13kcal each. Best educated guess I have!
Other than the lozenges, my day was nice and on track!

Exercise Update:
I HATE exercise. I don't care what it is, I have yet to find something I don't hate every second of. Dance, yoga, weights, running, swimming, treadmill, walking, pilates, sports in general... But, I'm going to try a dance class in the dark tomorrow provided my throat doesn't get worse! I enjoy dancing in my room with no one watching! But I've been proven shocking at ballet, jazz and ballroom dancing. This no lights, no lycra things sounds exactly what I need, so I'll give it a go!

Home-Cooking Woes:
I miss cooking so much when I'm on Jenny Craig. It's one of my passions and I'm pretty darn good at it even if I do say so myself. :D But this has been a fun week; got to cook lamb shanks and mash for the boyfriend (though there are so few ingredients involved in cooking meat dishes, unlike vegetarian dishes, I'm not sure it even counts as cooking!) and mexican stuffed capsicums and one pot veggie puttanesca for my mum and brother.
The stuffed capsicums are an invention of my own, and the one pot puttanesca is an adaptation from a recipe I found on Pinterest. But my mum loved them so much she's asked me to write them up so she can make them herself!
The lack of cooking was one of the reasons I got off Jenny Craig early last time, so maybe feeding my boyfriend can be my cooking outlet while I'm on the diet!

Breakfast:

250kcal - Cheese & Tomato Toastie
Lunch:
235kcal - JC, Pasta Verde
Dinner:
215kcal - JC, Cheese and Broccoli Baked Potato
Milk:
125kcal - Tea's, Coffee's & Cocoa's
Snacks:
30kcal - Milk Arrowroot Biscuit
95kcal - Apple
Other:
45kcal - Lozenges

Total: 995/1600kcal = 605kcal

Thank you! Fighting the urge to think "well the diet's ruined anyway" and gorge myself was not as easy as I would have hoped, but could have gone a lot worse!

So sorry for your loss!

Thank you Butterfly, it has been a tough few weeks.

Maybe make that "feeding my boyfriend and myself". I can't remember exactly what your reasons were for going back on JC but I seem to remember not being able to cook when with your boyfriend :p

Hiya :) I really like your diary and I'm really glad you're back on track!

I love that all your food is vegetarian, so many yummy things :) I'd love to see your recipe for the Mexican stuffed peppers too if I could? :D

So very very true!! Hahaha call me an optimist... Maybe deluded? We usually get one home-cooked meal in during the visit. So hopefully that will be enough to keep me satisfied!

Thank you! :) The stuffed capsicums are super easy, large, low calorie (approx 250kcal + cheese) and REALLY cheap! You literally throw a bunch of canned veggies/legumes in a saucepan and then stuff it into hollowed out red capsicums.

Ingredients:
4x Hollowed-Out Red Capsicums (that don't wobble when you stand them up)
1x Brown Onion, diced
3x Garlic Cloves, crushed
1x Can Lentils, drained
1x Can Kidney Beans, drained
1x Can Corn Kernels, drained
1x Can Diced Tomatoes
2x Heaped Tsp Cumin
1x Heaped Tsp Paprika
Salt to taste
Optional:
Grated Tasty Cheese
Jalapeños
Tobasco

Method:
  1. Preheat oven to 180C
  2. Cook diced onion until transparent with a dash of oil in a saucepan
  3. Mix in garlic, lentils, kidney beans, corn, tomato, paprika, cumin, jalapeños/tobasco (optional) and salt
  4. Simmer until the mixture thickens, then spoon it into the capsicums
  5. Top with cheese and bake on a tray until cheese melts/capsicum blackens on edges
It should look like THIS omnomnom

I have made those for breakfast some mornings just with different stuffing! Put a bit of potato and sauteed zucchini, then a raw egg on top and bake it until the egg is done. Top with a bit of salsa and cheese. Sooo yummy!

Oooh yum! :) That would make a good breakfast dish! I sometimes make breakfast burritos with the lentil/bean mixture (plus diced capsicum), scrambled eggs, tomato sauce and cheese! Great combo of flavours!

They look & sound yummy. I can't eat capsicum though :(

Aww no! A loaded potato with the bean mix, topped with cheese would be a pretty nice alternative too though. Mmmm I think I need to make one of these now!

Dying Today:
Ugghhh so I'm even sicker... Probably going to skip tonights dance class :( Hopefully feeling better next Thursday!

That looks so good thankyou! I'm definitely going to try and make these soon :) The breakfast variation sounds great, I might have to experiment and make up my own too :)

I hope you feel better soon :(
