I really want to step on the scales... But at the same time I really really don't! Unpredictable weight fluctuations... Water retention... Hormonal changes... I always find I get really disheartened the moment I start stepping on the scales! At least the maths doesn't lie. While there's always room for error, and I can never know my exact RMR/BMR, my numbers will have to be relatively close.

I'm definitely seeing the bloating go down!! Feeling so much better since cutting out the bad stuff. My shirts aren't as tight as they were, though it will be a while till I fit into all my clothing comfortably again. :(

So on the weekend I spilt water on my laptop! While washing dishes... (I like to think it's a sign I shouldn't be washing dishes!) I've been letting it dry all week. So, I'm just going to start tracking everything from today onward again, as I really can't remember by diet over the past four days.

I can also feel my collarbones starting to poke out again which is nice! Been a while since I saw those...

Ahh collarbones. I remember when I got mine back. I had forgotten what they looked like. You are well on track tipsytoes :)

O wow, good thing your laptop is still working!
I'm so relieved! Having to pay for something else at the moment would kill me! Paid off 50% of the Credit Card today! Only a little more to go! Woo!

Ahh collarbones. I remember when I got mine back. I had forgotten what they looked like. You are well on track tipsytoes :)
Thank you! Such a good feeling to know it's working! I prefer to go off how my body feels, rather than a number on a scale. Collarbones are always the first thing for me to change (and last thing to disappear if I've gained... Definitely my sign to get back on track!)! Over the next couple of weeks I'll be hopefully seeing a shift around my waist/back!

Unfortunately I forgot my JC lunch AGAIN! Noooooooo!! Had a second cheese toastie today... Definitely need to start keeping emergency lunches in the office! Also found out another lady in the office is on Jenny Craig! She was having the JC Cheese and Ham toastie (obviously not on the veggo plan haha) but she said she had lost 7kgs so far in prep for her wedding in 3 (or 2?) months. Nice not being alone! AND wasn't the only one having a toastie for lunch haha!

I got about 4hrs sleep, as my brother (aka my housemate..) had a bunch of drunk friends over. They were so loud! Yet my brother, who also had to be up early for work, slept through it all! Uggh! Having a "house meeting" tonight to discuss the friends issue.

Going to Vivid Lights Festival tonight! Lots of walking, so hopefully I'll get a few hours exercise tonight. I'll deduct it from tomorrow's calories.

So we had a bit of a late start and went out to brunch with the boyfriend and the family. Went for the healthiest option on the menu - roasted veggies and rocket with some grilled haloumi! So good... BUT EVERYTHING WAS COVERED IN OLIVE OIL!! No idea how many calories that was, so I've tried being generous in my calorie estimate, and added an extra 150kcal for a tablespoon of oil.

Was also under a lot of pressure to drink today :ack2: Did ok, but opted to drink a very small glass very slowly. Don't understand everyone's need to pressure other people into drinking! I never try to pressure people when I'm drinking. I just don't get it, but oh well! We're bonding, so I'm happy to compromise with a small one.

Probably because people know a large amount of alcohol isn´t the smartest or healthiest choice to make and so they automatically feel judged by anyone not drinking. Which is rather sad. Great work sticking with healthy but delicious food and don´t worry about a little extra olive oil! Yes it has a lot of calories but eating healthy, high quality food regularly is much more important than 150 calories extra once a week.

Yeah, it is quite sad. :( I've been trying so hard to cut down. I know 3.5 drinks a week doesn't sound like a tiny amount.. But it's such a huge improvement! Just wish there wasn't such a drinking culture within my friendship groups and boyfriends family. (Especially among all their girlfriends!)

Good, healthy food is definitely worth the calories, but I would have loved an extra piece of haloumi instead :D

Oh my gosh, this sounds amazing. :jump:
So so good!! Haloumi is definitely a weakness of mine!

Today's Diary:
Did good today! We had lunch with the family - lots of biscuits, dips and wine. I didn't touch any of it!

I know people say moderation is good... But for me, trying to eat nibbles and snacks in moderation is SO MUCH HARDER than simply not having any to start with. The moment I start, I struggle so much to stop. The worst part is that everyone says "just have one"! :S Then I try some of it... And then spend the rest of the time obsessively thinking about how I want keep eating it. But I'm getting a lot better at not starting in the first place.

I dunno how people just ignore/forget snacks in front of them - I OBSESS !!

:drool5:<-- Me sitting in front of a bowl of chips!

Thankfully my food obsession is nowhere near as bad since going off hormonal birth control 4 months ago (that stuff seriously messed with me food-wise and depression-wise), so I'm hoping it's just a habit that will go away over time the longer I'm not on it.

It's weird how I'll end up eating things I don't even like just because they're there in front of me and I have to stay seated :flame:

Some food talks to me. I swear it does. I am also much better if I don't have even one. Eat one chip or salty nut & then the whole lot yells at you- "EAT ME!!!" Well done once again TipsyToes :D
