Time's a Wastin, and I'm Still Fat.

Definitely go for a physical - not for weight, but you're an adult and that's what you're supposed to do. I say this as a fellow adult! Nice work on getting back on track!

You'll get back into it Mystic. Push yourself just a little bit more each day & you will form new habits.

Thanks guys. Today wasn't the best day. I had a hard day of work so was tired so didn't do anything and didn't eat great. I have a salad to take a long for work tomorrow I think which will be good. Need to find new supper recipes, sick of the ones I used to have.

New recipes fill us up more quickly, interestingly enough, so that might even help beyond just tasting nice.

Plus if you're prepping food, you're going to snack on the good stuff (veggies) and can look forward to something new.
This is very true.
Well done on having a salad ready to take to work Mystic. You'll get better prepared as you go. It is the key to successI think, along with determination.

Thanks everyone.
Today would have been a good eating day except when I went to the grocery store to buy what I needed to make a new recipe (Taco Salad) I bought a thing of chocolates. :( Otherwise I would have done well. The new recipe was ok, it was missing just a bit of flavor. I'm sure it's not at all low cal but for right now I'm just trying to snack less.
I did take my dogs for a walk though not a long walk cause my little pom was cold (had to tuck him into my sweater).
I'm hoping next week will be better, hopefully not quite so busy at work (though I need to be busy money wise) so maybe I'll feel a bit more get up and go. Though I really probably just need to break the habit of doing nothing in the evenings.

Maybe some fresh herbs would have lifted the flavor? Often it's just the sauce/dressing (what do you call it in a taco salad?) lacking balance and needing just that little extra sweetness or acidity.

As you can tell from my absence not having a good time the last bit. One day I ate FOUR large cinnamon buns and have been binging on the no bake cookies. I ate so badly and am so out of shape that jogging my dog for short spurts (20') a few times back and forth i was out of breath and nearly vomited. I have my physical on Wednesday but I'm fairly certain how I feel is due to eating poorly , not exercising , then being stuck in this routine of doing nothing all day which becomes a hard habit to break.

Oh sweetpea :( it's hard to get motivated sometimes - hopefully the physical might give you an opportunity to reflect and push forward xx

I hope so to. And eating stuff I know I shouldn't definitely makes me feel sluggish during the day and like throwing up when I try to exercise.

Maybe the physical will be that catalyst to get you back on track. You know you can do it, because you've done it before. It's just a matter of getting back on track - and remembering that it will take some effort to get on that track full speed again. You can do it, I know that you can.

:iagree: with ^^ all of the above Mystic. Use your physical as a point in time when you say "OK. I'm going to get as healthy as I can." You can do this sweets xoxo

Thank you everyone. I'm not doing great but a bit better than I was a couple days ago. Less snacking today, though I had a couple cadbury creme eggs. I did some cleaning in the kitchen today. I had no clean dishes or pots or pans! I'm a bit of a slob, and not cause I like being a slob but just cause I'm lazy and would rather chill on the couch than put dishes away. Did 2 loads and my kitchen isn't totally clean yet, but at least the dishes are done. I have to clean my house for saturday as my mom is bringing my aunts over.
Walked a bit yesterday, went to agility class today. Tomorrow is my physical so we'll see what she says. The doctor can be terribly slow so I just hope I'm not there all evening.

Having visitors with some regularity is a great way to keep up the cleaning motivation. Feels better to have it done, right?

Doing better is good Mystic. Having people coming to visit is a good thing. Our place gets a good going over when we have people coming, especially if it's for the first time. It's good exercise too :)

Me too. What I find helps is that if I start visualizing the cleaning (or whatever chore) while I'm chilling, I get to a point where I have to clean the stuff up. Don't know if it works that way with you, but might be worth a shot.
