Very cute. I brought my dog that is part pom running once (and only once)

Poor thing had plenty of energy to start but those short legs really aren't geared up for running anything more than a short distance. After less than five minutes she was wheezing and gasping for breath and I had carry her back home.

Ya. Haku will never be my running partner. He's only gonna finish up around 3-3.5 pounds and his tiny legs are already moving like crazy on slow walks.

So cute! What a little fluffball!

Well done on the run too, I'm sure it'll just keep getting easier!

Thanks guys. So good news, I did go for my run and it was the fastest and farthest run yet, bad news, I did not eat well. Ate work it was slow and I got bored and munchy so got a big chocolate bar and creme egg, then ate a bunch of almonds.
I almost got it together in the evening and could have stayed under cals, and then I just totally didn't at all. I've been feeling really exhausted which is not helping. Tomorrow I will hopefully remember to bring my water bottle so I can get some water in during the day. I'm not sure yet if I will have the energy to go around to other diaries today but I will see, got an hour or so before I am gonna get ready for bed, unless I can't stay awake till then.
Oh, I also tried to buy a new battery for my scale today, but of course they did not have the kind I needed.

Of course you´re exhausted: you´re back on a calorie deficit and getting back into running! But your body already knows the drill, it just has to get back into it, so you´ll do fine.

Well done on the run!! I too am feeling exhausted with starting a new meal plan... I think it just takes a week or two to stop feeling so wonky and get back into routine. We got this!

You'll get the hang of it again Mystic. Leave water bottles everywhere so that you're never without.

Thanks guys. So I was trying to log on all weekend (though only on my phone) and it wasn't working due to the site changing, finally logged on on the computer and had to click around to get it to work.
So running went well all week. Ran 5 days, should have run yesterday since I didn't do anything else, but I had planned to run 5 days so glad I did. Eating went less well. Gonna have to get that tightened up for sure. Forgot my water bottle today.

5 runs in a week is awesome, your body probably really needed those other two days to recover and realize things are looking up again!

That's great that you're back into running again Mystic. It sounds like you need at least one more water bottle :)

Hey guys. Just popping on quickly to talk about the last couple days.
Yesterday I threw out my back sleeping so I decided not to run. Lots of drugs and maximum strength rub-A535 (btw, do NOT put that on right after a hot shower, ouch). However, to be honest, part of not running was just losing motivation over the weekend to get back on track.
My back was feeling much better today (not 100%) but still really didn't want to run. Had a long day of work, and again, lack of motivation. My mom asked if I was running with her, I wanted to say no because of my back and leave it at that so she wouldn't try to convince me to run, but I forced myself to be honest and say that I was lacking motivation. My mom managed to talk me into running. It was a very slow run (mostly due to having some issues with our timer/watch that malfunctioned a couple times, so I don't think our running was actually all that slow.
Not great on the eating front, though I didn't keep stuffing my face all evening which was good.
If I at least work on one thing that I can at least say I'm doing something.

Ahh sorry about your back, that sucks. If it is still a bit iffy I'd rest another day or two anyway, better to have it fully healed than have it get re-injured and be off another week!

It's tough to get back into a routine after taking some time off. And if you jumped suddenly up to five days of running your body is probably freaking out and wanting more calories, too. Just make some small changes and healthy swaps and keep on being honest!

Hey guys, sorry I have been MIA. I'm still running sporadically. I think I ran 3 days last week, and so far 2 days this week. But only because my mom comes with me and convinces me to go. I really have lost virtually all motivation I had when I started posting here again the other week. I'm still not on track with my eating either. There are days that are a little better than others, but none are very good. A lot of the times the runs feel pointless because I know I'm still eating too much. I try to remind myself that it at least cuts 300 or so cals off of what I ate so I may either maintain or at least gain slower this way, and be a touch more fit. I really need to get a battery for my scale. That might be the shock I need to get back on track, though judging by the fact that even my fat clothes don't fit I probably have a good idea of my weight, but without seeing the actual number is keeping me in denial I feel.

We've all been there on the motivation front but it's positive that you're posting and getting out there for the runs. May reading through your old journal entries from a time when your motivation was better or looking for other sources of inspiration might help.
Good luck

What KD said. I´ve been struggling for a long time now (a very long time) but overall I´m now struggling at five kilos less then six months ago. If I´d given up on things I´d probably be ten kilos heavier now. Come back to us girl, we miss you!
