Time's a Wastin, and I'm Still Fat.

Hi Mystic! Getting back into the routine after a holiday is SO tough! I managed to fall asleep easy on Sunday somehow but then Monday was a late night on the couch trying to will myself to be tired. Hopefully we all get back into the swing of things quickly!

Ya the first night before I had to work was ok, so I was hopeful I would be alright. Not so, obviously.

Today is going well.
I had some lasagna and a granola bar for lunch. It was my first day back to work where I actually had clients. It started off a little interesting but ended well. Still a fairly light day. I had to take the family doberman in to the vet to have a lump on his side checked. As I suspected it was just a lipoma (fat lump) but better safe than sorry.
For supper I had a half chicken breast with brown sugar, bacon, and cheese on top, I also had two small bake potatoes with some margarine.
I'm still going to have an apple with peanut butter for snack in around half an hour or so.

I was thinking about going to one of those fitness classes today but the weather ended up being crap. The roads weren't horrible but not great either. Plus with my poor sleep last night I was feeling pretty tired. The weather is supposed to be a little better tomorrow, but if it is I will be going riding so likely won't make it to a class. May have to wait till the weekend.
I've decided today will be a rest day.

Hurray for a good day!!!!! Try magnesium before bed. If you don't like constantly taking a supplement then just take it till you get back into your routine. I always take it, and on nights that my head won't shut up I'll take a GABA as well (it's an amino acid) which makes me totally chill out and drift off. If I have a crap night of sleep and let myself get tired I have almost no self control at all so I do everything I can to make sure it doesn't happen!!

Well done on getting through the DVD, cardio gains are awesome and usually you can notice the difference straight away. Yay for getting fitter!!!

I usually sleep really well. It's only very rare occasions where I have some troubles. Not sure why I get these very random times of not being able to sleep, but thankfully I get better sleep than a lot of people! I heard that some people have to get up out of bed at least once a night to pee!! I couldn't stand that!! I 99% sleep from the instant I fall asleep to the instant my alarm goes off!
Finished up my day with the apple and peanut butter.
I'm doing the January Challenge that involves ensuring I get 8 glasses of water every day and am hating it. The first day wasn't so bad cause I was home more. Today, even though I got home relatively early at 3:30 or so, I'm struggling to get in 8 glasses. Tomorrow when I hopefully go back to the barn it will be even harder cause I will get home later (I have been bringing water to work but it's not easy for me to drink a lot at work)

I have a drink bottle I take with me everywhere (it's huge- 2.2L) and I find if it's always next to me I always get through at least one during the day. Maybe try that? Helps you keep track of how much you're drinking too. I hardly drink anything if I leave my bottle anywhere!

Do you forget about drinking at work, don´t you have time to go to the toilet or can you not keep water by your side?

Good job! Maybe try setting an alarm for every thirty minutes until you´re used to drinking more?

I have a sport bottle at work and I find it a lot easier to have a straw in it for some reason - I really drink twice as much with a straw than without. It's the only time I use a straw when not driving.

I agree with LJ, I find myself absent mindedly drinking water if I'm using a straw. I can keep a free hand busy, hydrate, but I don't have to tilt my head back. Maybe we're just too lazy for head tilts, LJ?

Hahaha, my drink bottle is a beast mode 2.2L, looks like a keg with a big handle on the side and the mouth part is huge. I end up with some on myself half the time! I'm actually not a huge fan of straws (unless I'm out somewhere and drinking something that looks pretty, or having a seriously thick smoothie!) Each to their own I guess!!

I think I've been filling my bottle to full before freezing (I hate water that isn't freezing cold) and it's not melting as fast as I should drink it. This time I'm only going to fill it half full before freezing it, then fill the rest with cold water in the morning and see if that works better.
Work was decent. Still slow, had 4 dogs. Finished at 1 then went to the barn and worked my horse. I didn't ride, just lunged him (hard to explain easily, google it if you desire) as I hadn't planned to go to the barn when I left work so hadn't changed. But decided as I was just about to turn onto my street that I wasn't going to be lazy, I was going to go to the barn. Happy that I did. Elis will be moving from paddock board (smallish pen) to pasture board tomorrow so he will have a lot more room to move around and play with other horses.
Had my chicken casserole for lunch.
Planning for the same chicken with brown sugar, bacon, and cheese for supper today as I had yesterday, as well as a spinach salad.
Since I got off work early I would kinda like to try one of those classes, but I'm feeling a bit run down (TOM is visiting and the bad night's sleep the other night). I will for sure do my dance video if I don't go to a class.

Crap, washed my Fitbit One (again... whoops). Put it on for the first time in a long time last night, and managed to have it fall off as I was stuffing my top load washer with stuff. The last time I did this I think I found it in the dryer, however it still worked. SO I put it in the dryer with the rest of my clothes in hopes to dry it and have it work (it didn't appear to be working after I found it in the washer). Hope it works haha.

You need one of those little plastic things.... A BitBelt. I don't see the FitBit One listed but maybe there's one that will work?

My Garmin Vivosmart came with one of these and there's no way this bad boy is falling off.

I'm not sure those would work. Mine is designed to be worn on the torso, not on the wrist so I think it's accuracy would go down worn there. The first time I washed it I actually washed it cause I forgot to take it off my bra when I washed my bra. It usually stays on fairly well as it's usually protected by my shirt as well. However I was shirtless when loading my laundry machine and the clothes all gather in my arms must have pulled it off my bra.

Well, my fitbit is having seizures. I'm not sure it will make it, gonna see how it's looking tomorrow.

Did a different dance workout video (by the same person). Feeling a bit groggy, I think it's because the dance video has a lot of head tossing which jumbles my brain around.
I had some calories left after I changed up my balsamic vinegar spinach recipe a bit to make it less cals without changing the taste at all. I was craving honey after using it in a recipe earlier this week. I initially tried it on bread but for whatever reason my bread was really dried out. So then I had it on an english muffin.
Finished my cals at 1307
