Time's a Wastin, and I'm Still Fat.

It's always so hard getting back into exercise after a break, if I've taken a week off and have a week of PT I usually feel like I'm going to vomit after those sessions that week back... nassssty. I use it as motivation to not take days off. Hope you feel better, I find active rest helps me more than stopping (pause the DVD, hop outside and do a few walking laps of your yard or street). Gets the lactic acid out of your system faster.

Ohh it's CRAZY the calorie counts of some food that I thought were harmless. Don't feel bad about it, now you know. Maybe not a bad idea to check other foods you're unsure of!!

Thanks guys. I think part of the problem was having the temperature too warm in my house and wearing too warm of clothing. So next time I will for sure turn my temp down and not wear such warm clothes.
Finished off the day well. Went to a friend's house where there were a lot of goodies and didn't have anything.
Got home and warmed up a small herbed chicken breast I had made yesterday, and had a baked potato.
Actually entered stuff into MFP and came out around 1800 calories for the day so pretty happy with that, especially after spending nearly 800 of those on that naan bread!

To clarify, I did not finish the workout today. I still felt crappy by the time my friend messaged me to say she was on her way to a party (we planned to get there around the same time) so I showered and headed to that. I had an hour between that party and another get together to come home, let the dogs out, and eat supper so no time to fit it in there either. Hoping to have the time to do it tomorrow.
And I was 181.2 this morning. Hoping to see another drop tomorrow due to less water weight.

This time I made it 20 mins in the dance workout video with one walk break while she was showing one of the moves, but still nearly vomiting at the 20 min mark (not as bad as yesterday, but still felt like crap). I don't feel all that bad doing it, until I stand still for a minute and then all of a sudden I feel horrific. Maybe I will try again later this evening. I kept my house cooler and wore less but it didn't help as much as I thought it would.
I think I could probably go out and run and not have this issue, but there is a lot of jumping and hip/stomach movements in the dance stuff that it's quite difficult and shoots my heart rate up much higher and I go into a anaerobic state.

180 this morning, starting to lose that water weight. I made a January weigh in challenge on the challenge section and put my goal for the month as 174 as I am hoping most of this weight is more so water weight than too much fat weight.

I had lunch around 1:30 of my ham and potato soup.
I had supper at my brother's house so had to guess a bit on the calories. It was store bought potato and cheese perogies, and ham.

My total cals for the day was 1270

I think this time I'm gonna try to keep my weekly cals to around 1300-1400 so I can have a little more cals on the weekend to total a daily average of 1500-1600

Excellent! I spent my evening making meals to freeze so I can take them along for lunches or have them for supper. Though I think I'm gonna try to bring them mostly for lunches then make different single meals for supper. That way I have lunches for a long time (and won't be 'forced' to buy fast food for lunch when I haven't made anything the night before), keep me from getting as bored of them as they are only one meal of the day not 2, and sometimes it's good that a meal might take me a while to make for supper. If I can just grab something and heat it up for 5 mins at 6:00pm when I get home and eat it, then I have so long in the evening to think about food but not allowing myself. Whereas if I get home at 6:00pm and have to make something that takes an hour then that's helped pass the evening. Busy work is helpful sometimes.
I made myself lasagna, and a chicken 'casserole'

Nomnom! I try to cook double helpings so I don´t have to cook all the time, but I envy people who can motivate themselves to cook up bigger batches and thus get a bigger buffer. Enjoy ;)

Good job on the frozen meals, I need to start doing that again. It's pretty simple and a little sauce can go a long, long way!

It really is just as easy to do these big portions because they are both things done in a baking pan. I have a smaller baking pan, but it takes just as long to get stuff set up in there as it does the bigger pan and I get so much more out of my effort.

180.6 on the scale this morning. Was disappointed to see it go up slightly as I was still hoping for it to keep dropping off water weight. But that's the way things go when you weigh everyday.
Had a half day at work, where I mostly just groomed my own dog and not much else (always slower in January after the Christmas rush)
Had my chicken casserole for lunch which was good.
Planning to have a spinach salad and salmon with cream cheese for supper.
I want to try to go to that fitness place I was talking about before, there is a cycling/TRX class today at 7:00. Not really my ideal fun dance type class so I may try to do a class tomorrow where it has a little more dance to it. Though wednesday looks the funnest with pole dancing, kick boxing and zumba.

Go you with the food prep!!!!!!!!!! I prep a whole fortnight of food at a time (the protein part anyway, plus a few casseroles and a few easy to heat up veg side dishes). Makes life a whole lot easier, if you get home from work exhausted you can just heat and eat and chill out. Plus everything is pre-portioned and the rest is frozen so it's hard to reach for second helpings and you can't pick at it either, haha!

Go for it with the cycling class, I absolutely LOVE them! Though I'm terrible at the dance-type classes because I have no rhythm and embarrass everyone around me, hahaha. I actually took my non-exercising husband to a spin class and he enjoyed it too. Plus you burn MEGA calories!

I definitely love having food ready to go. Mostly for lunches so I don't have to think about making lunches in the evening (and I certainly never give myself time to make it in the morning)
I decided to do the dance video workout I have been doing for the last few days, and for the first time I made it all the way through! Still took a couple 30 second breaks, and had a couple iffy moments where I worried I was gonna start feeling ill, but came out of it and was able to keep going!

Finished up at 1281 calorie wise. I apparently threw my salmon away (was in the freezing for a good while) so had to change to chicken with cream cheese, then with my balsamic vinegar spinach salad. Really good all round.
My tummy's been a bit upset lately, I think due to the change in diet and such, despite eating better.

That does look rather yummy.

Great job on your dance video. Progress when it comes to cardio stuff is always great, helps the weight loss process in just about every way imaginable.

It's 3:30 am and I'm having a terrible night. So little sleep, tossing and turning, and have now just been on my phone for the last hour since I cant sleep anyways. Went to bed early (11pm) to try to get back on a normal schedule with my sleep after the holidays and now stuck wide awake for most of the night. Have to be up in 4 hours.

Tasty-looking chicken, for sure!

I actually kind of like the occasion 3AM-awake-for-no-reason, it's about the only time I get to read for an extended amount of time with no interruptions or falling asleep in the book.

Hmm. It may not have been so bad on a day off, but on one of the first nights where I have to go back to work the next day after a holiday it really sucks. My body has been used to going to bed at 1-4am during the holiday and waking up at 11-12pm, so having to get used to being up at 7:30am is tough going especially when I can't sleep most all night.
I finally took an advil and soon after drifted off to sleep.
