Time to stick with it!!

Oh my gosh!!! AWESOME!!! I knew you'd get into the 140's this week :) I'm gonna make you feel even BETTER about yourself and tell you that I'm in the 140's with you!!! LOL you are kicking so much booty with this weight loss and working out. I'm so proud of you for coming so far! And that is really nice about what your mom said... I bet you are so excited for the holiday's to get together with all your family and for everyone to see how amazing you look! You will hit 145 by the middle of January, no doubt about it.

Have a wonderful weekend!!! I'm so happy you and Marie met your goals this week... it has put me back into this mood where I'm ready to take on next week STRONG!!!

~ Sarah

Thanks so much Sarah! I can't wait for all my family to be home for the holidays! It's going to be a blast and only three weeks till they arrive! I think that is really going to keep me focused and motivated with the weeks to come. I'm in that mood too where I feel ready and strong! I love it! I plan on indulging a little over the weekend as usual but I won't get down about it because I know if I work out hard enough it won't matter! We got this!

I hate Mondays - it's just that much harder to get out of bed for some reason.
Anyway the weekend is over and tomorrow is December! that is nuts - where has the time been going? December 5th will officially be four months of my new lifestyle - 25 lbs lost in four months is pretty darn good I think. From the 170's to the 140's - I am loving the 140's by the way.
Friday night I had some realizations and it was amazing. I was feeling great physically, mentally and emotionally and wanted to give some lovin. I called my hunnie up to bed -(before dinner) and we spent a good two hours doing things we hadn't for a while and I felt more comfortable than ever before! It was hot and way over do! We really worked up an appetite! We had some left over spagetti for dinner and didn't really snack much after that.
Saturday I woke up and headed straight to the gym. I did 20 min on the treadmill (1.7 miles) then went to the new body class for an hour and used 3lb weights. After the class I still had lots of energy althought I was soaked from sweat and went back on the treadmill for 20 min (1.7 miles again). After that I did some abs, back, shoulders and biceps machines and then finished with abs on the mat and a good stretch. It was just over 2 hours at the gym and I honestly felt like I could have continued going. I showered up and got some groceries. Later that day I went over to my mom's friends to make some perogies and spring rolls and had a couple appetizers that were out and some wine. My bf called to say he made plans for us to go to a shag in the evening and I wanted something nice to wear since everything is getting so big on me. I stopped at SuperStore on the way home and bought a new pair of size 8 jeans! I couldn't believe the size 10 was too big on me! My bum looked so good - I got a new top too. My boyfriend really liked the outfit and said it was worth the $50. We went to his friends house to pre-drink and I was taking it easy because I haven't been drunk since Halloween and didn't want to get silly drunk at like 10pm! His friends kept making comments like "hey bud go downstairs so I can have a minute Lisa" or "oh you wouldn't mind if I took her in the bedroom for a minute eh". It was really flattering to have all the attention for once - I was even blushing a little but secretly really enjoying it! We got to the shag and there were lots of people I hadn't seen in a while and this time everyone had something to say! It was so rewarding to hear all the comments and everyone telling me to keep it up! I didn't even feel like getting really drunk and only had two drinks at the party when the old me would of had 20!
Sunday I woke up pretty late 11:30 am and had to get ready for a wedding shower for my friend. There were lots of snacks and dips and punch and I had a little taste of everything but no cake - I was already full and it would have put me over the top. When I got home I did some cleaning and we bought a frozen pizza at the corner store for dinner. I had been pretty good compared to most weekends so I didn't feel bad about the pizza. My girlfriend came over later to help with some of my own shag planning and we got a fair amount done.
Overall it was a great weekend and since I took yesterday off the gym I am ready to get back into it tonight after work - just couldn't get out of bed this morning.
Time to do some catching up in other journals - have a great Monday.

Hey Lisa!!! :)

I can't believe you have gone from the 170's to the 140's in such a short time. That is AMAZING!!! You sound like you are doing so good, and your confidence must be glowing.

Awesome workout Saturday morning! Wow! I wish I had a gym membership back home, I would have loved to be able to do more stuff and work out longer, but I only have a treadmill at home so I make do with that. Your hard work is DEFINITELY paying off... size 8 jeans!? :-D I can just imagine how great you felt when you got to see all those people that you hadn't in a while. I also got to see so many people that I haven't in forever which I'm sure you will read about in my journal :) Except for that I decided to get wasted!!! Good for you to hold back on the drinking! You can still enjoy you're time without it :)

I woke up late TOO yesterday morning!! UGH! And I skipped working out as well. AND I got a frozen pizza for dinner as well! LOL sounds like we had a somewhat similar weekend hah!

Oh Lisa I am so happy for you!! It is amazing what clothes that fit will do for you ;) Don't you love the Joe line from SuperStore?!?! My skinny jeans are from there and I get so many comments on them. You should be so proud of yourself 170's-140's... it's such an accomplishment. Hope you've been telling everyone to get you clothes for christmas ;)

I know it's like you realize all your hard work is paying off when you fit into smaller sizes but if you don't buy new clothes you just start to feel frumpy. i do want clothes for Christmas but everyone keeps saying i'm too hard to buy for and I keep telling them that was the old me - I didn't want things to be too tight or clingy, the sleeves had to be a certain length and now I think I am over those things! I want the shirt to be fitted and the sleeves can be a little shorter than to my elbows because my arms are getting slimer too! I just think I will have to do my own shopping after xmas and get some good sales.

thank you! You are doing great too! And it's journals like yours that keep me going everyday! I was once in a size 20 jeans so I know you will get into those 8 and 10's one day - just keep pushing!

Good Morning,

Sarah isn't it funny that I pretty much wrote the same thing in your journal yesterday that you wrote in mine! Thanks everyone for the nice comments - always cheers me up on a Monday.
Yesterday was a great day and hopefully today will be too! Although I didn't make it to the gym this morning because it snowed a whole bunch and the thought of cleaning off my car sent me back to bed. I later had my hunnie warm it up and clean it off so it was worth it.
Here's how yesterday looked:
B- instant regular oatmeal w 1 cup fresh blueberries & blackberries
Snack - 3 cups mint green tea
L - 1 can campbell's tomato & rice soup w water - no crackers
Snack - 2 mandarian oranges
Exercise - 50 min treadmill (4.3 miles switched it up between jogging at 5.6 mph - 6.0 mph with minimum incline 2.5 and then when I took a couple breaks I was walking at 4.1 mph and incline 6). 1 hour 20-20-20 class - step aerobics, strength training, abs, stretch - I wasn't going to go but my friend showed up just as I was finishing the treadmill and told me she was going so I decided to do it too.
D - McCain frozen yam fries & multi-grain breaded fish fillets w lots ketchup - too much ketchup really but it was so good.
Snack - apple, 1 point WW caramel bar
I don't know how I will ever be able to do 13 miles for a half marathon but I'm going to keep trying!
I wish I would have went to the gym this morning but now it's taking me a long time to wake up. I'm going to spinning tonight though and that's always a good workout!
time to read some journals! have a great Tuesday!

Nice workout yesterday!!! You'll probably never hit 13miles on the treadmill... that too much to do on a machine, but in the spring when you start running outside it won't take you long to get there :)

You have to have ketchup with fish sticks and fries... it's the law ;)

Never be upset b/c you could only make it to the gym ONCE in a day!!! There is some research out there that says working out for more than an hour a day has no benefits at all... others say different so your spinning tonight will be great.

Have a fabulous day Lisa!!! :D
Marie

Hi Lisa,

You are doing killer work outs! I started working out in the mornings this week thanks to you! And I love it. Your workouts and progress are such an inspiration to me and I am so glad that you are doing so well and seeing results and you need a huge WOOHOO  for your size 8 jeans!!! Thats amazing, I bet you and your booty were looking amazing in them! Good for you. Keep up the amazing work, I think you are doing so great. Have fun at spinning tonight.

Good Morning,

Sarah isn't it funny that I pretty much wrote the same thing in your journal yesterday that you wrote in mine!

I don't know how I will ever be able to do 13 miles for a half marathon but I'm going to keep trying!

I thought the SAME thing yesterday as soon as I wrote in yours I saw that you had wrote in mine... and they were so alike! lol :)

You WILL be able to do 13 miles for a half marathon! You WON'T do it on the treadmill though. Not saying it's not possible, but it's going to be TEN times easier for you to run longer outside!!! Plus the treadmill is sooo boring I don't think anyone could possible stand being on that thing for 13 miles... the outdoors are so free and it just feels like you could keep going forever out there! OK forever is a stretch, but you know what I mean :p

I'm cranky and a little stressed so I haven't been around to update yet today. Work is crazy and I've been stressing about this shag I am planning. SOooooo much to do and I only have two weeks left! It's funny because I pulled out the contract a couple days ago and I went in to book the event on Jan. 19 and am now getting to things that need to be done - what a procrastinator!!
Yesterday was horrible. I didn't make it to the gym in the morning and then there was a huge snow storm and I don't have my winter tires on my car yet so I went home after work because I was too afraid to wait around for spinning and drive home in the dark with the crappy tires I have - it was a good thing too because the snow just kept falling and the roads got really bad. So I told myself I would do a DVD at home after dinner well I got soooo lazy and didn't do anything but eat mindlessly in front of the tv. I snacked on 1 point bars, peanuts, peanuts and more peanuts, jam & triscuts, cheese - this was all after dinner! I made a small tortilla pizza with beef, olives, tomato, onion and ff cheese slice and should have been good after 1 - 1 point bar! I felt so gross going to bed. My hunnie was out working in his garage with a friend and I just sank into a commatose on the couch stuffing my face. I didn't get to the gym this morning either because the plow didn't go by our house until 7:15 am. I could have worked out at home but I didn't and went back to bed.
But yesterday is done and I'm so over it. I have my gym bag packed for after work which is in 1 hour and plan to do the treadmill for 50 min again and then a 1 hour new body class. The sun is shinning so hopefully it won't snow again tonight. Winter really depresses me and I wish it wouldn't but I can't look at it positively for the life of me. What's there to be positive about when it relates to cold, wet, snow. More bad news - we booked our flights and got our trip booked for the Dominican to leave Jan. 14th and the hotel called my sister back and told her they don't have room for us until after April - I don't know what we are going to do but it's really annoying. The stupid thing is you can still go online and book a trip there so they are trying to screw us over by making us go when it's not their busy time (colder time) and it doesn't say anything about that in the free deal offer so we are going to try and fight it because I already got the time approved off work and my other sister did too.
Anyway I shouldn't be on here today because I have too much negative energy - I need to get on that treadmill and change things. I also need to get lots done at home tonight so I'm not so stressed. Work is going to be busy tomorrow because it is our United Way Wrap up and I'm in charge so I might not be able to update again until the afternoon - hopefully I will be in better spirits.

wow that is awesome Janvier! You are inspiring me too - you are so little and started off just like me! We will reach our goals together - I might just take a little longer :svengo: thanks again!

I do know what you mean and hope it's true! I haven't seen any half marathons advertised here yet for Spring and want to sign up soon so it keeps me going! I can't wait to get on the treadmill today - it just feels so good and always makes me feel better!

Hello not-so-chubby girl!

Wel I'm new on here and was looking for some inspiration and wow you are something else!30lbs in 4 months....so it can be done! That's what I'm aiming for too as I'm getting married in Spring 2010 so even 21lbs would be great!

I was supposed to be getting married on 19th Dec 09 but broke my ankle last week so we postponed it. And I'm glad really because I really wanna look and feel great not just ok on my wedding day!

Anyway keep in touch if you want.I'm starting my journo tomoro because I'm laid up til mid Jan with the ankle so I have lost weight before and it always works when I write a food and exercise diary.

Have an ace day!

Hey Lisa! I'm glad you are over yesterday!!! Last night was a flop for me too. Sounds like things are getting a little stressful.... well it is that time of the year! But try to keep your cool the best you can! :)

I also found a website that might be helpful... you can search for half marathon's around your neck of the woods :)

Let me know if ya find something! Have a great workout tonight... sounds like it's gonna be a nice one.. I bet you'll feel MUCH better tonight than last night!

See ya!
~ Sarah

Hi Lisa,

I'm sorry the winter blues got to you, I know how you feel- fellow canadian lol. Take it all out on your workouts tonight and you'll feel great. I'm glad your over your snacky night, what happened happened and you are already moving forward and not focusing on the past so good for you! All of the downs are such a huge part of the weight loss process, it makes us stronger. Have fun working out tonight!

Ok last night's workout definetly put me in better spirits! Here's how the day looked:
B - ff yogurt & all bran buds
Snack - 2 cups mint green tea
L - veggie salad - tons of veggies, black olives & ff dressing
Exercise - 55 min treadmill (switching between 5.5 mph and 6 mph on incline 2.5 - only took a 3 minute break around 30 min and walked at 4.1 mph and incline 6 - 4.8 miles in total) 1 hr new body class with 3 lb weights.
Snack - 1 point PB bar - had to have this on my way home because I forgot to eat it prior to my workout and was feeling fantish.
D - tuna melt w two pieces bread, 1/2 can tuna, little mayo, little ff cheese w bowl of tomato & rice soup
Snacks - pickled onions, 2 kiwi fruit, 1 piece of toast w jam (was only going to have a bit of my hunnie's but it was so good I went back for my own piece).
Still too many snacks after dinner! I just need to stop and go read my book like I had planned.
this morning at work we had the United Way wind up and I was handing out cake and didn't take any for myself. I really want to have a good weigh-in tomorrow but I don't know. I forgot my B6 at home today and I always take one the day before weigh-in so that is bothering me a bit. Also I don't know if I will be able to go to spinning tonight because we are having friends over for a poker game - it isn't for sure but a possibility so that kinda sucks. I guess I could show up late to my own party. I haven't missed any classes and now both this week - that's not good. I have a big work out planned for tomorrow night with a friend so I won't be able to turn that down. Every other day of great workouts should be enough but it's not what I'm used to. I might just have to try and maintain until the holidays are over because there is almost something planned every night and there are soo many temptations. If I maintain I will be happy and if I lose I will be extactic! I got to run and grab some lunch because I didn't have time to plan anything and now I'm thinking a bagel but I know it's too many points for lunch and really not that filling. A sandwich would probably be better.
Until tomorrow!

Hello TwinkiBride and thank you for stopping by my journal! I'm engaged too if you haven't read that in my journal and the thought of putting on a wedding dress is great motivation! I'm sorry to hear about ankle - what bad timing, but everything happens for a reason I believe so look at positively and stay consistent and you will reach your goals! I have only lost 25 pounds in four months but I did have some slip ups so it could be better but it's really tough and you just have to take it one day at a time. I am getting better at realizing I messed up and getting back on track a lot sooner than the old me. The old me would have a bad week of eating after slipping up and now it's just the meal and then I'm back on track. It's getting harder though so I just have to stay dedicated and the weight will come off!
I look forward to reading your journal! See you around and thanks again!
