Time to stick with it!!

Very impressive food log from yesterday!!! Looks great! The spin class was hard at times but when it was done, I didn't feel like I wanted to fall over. It was a great workout though and I can't wait to go to another one. I think I might go again tomorrow night. At my school, they have a bunch of group fitness classes and the cycling ones are offered every day, and they are included in my gym membership (which is only 90 bucks for the whole school year!!)

Hopefully no snow for ya tomorrow! It's going to be raining here allllll week. It is warmer though so that's the nice part.

You're doing great :) Is weigh in tomorrow for you? Well whenever it is, I'm excited for you. You are doing AWESOME lately... I KNOW your hard work is going to pay off :)

$90 for the whole school year is a great deal!! I'm thinking about signing up for a gym membership once my classes end in December. I really like the people in my classes though so I will miss them. I have been told there are a couple gym's in town that offer classes and that's what I would be interested in. I just love the classes because I don't have to think about what machine I should use and for how long or how fast - I just follow the instructor for 60 min and try to push my hardest and end up sweating like crazy. I do miss getting on the treadmill every now and then though so I think a membership is where I'm headed next. Plus my work pays for $300 towards exercise memberships or classes so it's worth it for me.
I'm crossing my fingers for no snow too! We already got one dump but it didn't last - it's getting so cold though and I have to start parking in the garage so I don't have to scrape in the morning.
Yes, weigh-in is tomorrow although I'm not anticipating anything major since I just went on Friday. i'll take anything as long as it's not a gain!

Thanks Janvier for stopping by! Your story is very inspiring too which is what makes this site so great! So many of us getting healthier and feeling better about ourselves! The world needs more of us. I wish the wedding was tomorrow because I'm so excited but I'm also excited that I have 9 more months to tone up my body and get in tip top shape!
 
9 months is a lot of time, you'll definitely be in top shape, I just know it! :D.
You can even have some plateaus in there and time to breathe in between each challenge. (For me every 5-7 pounds seems like a milestone if I can keep it there!). Take care. Bye for now! Ashley :biggrinjester:
 
Hi CG

I rode my real bicycle today! Haven't done that for a while, but the spin classes have definately helped. I rode to work and was about 5 min faster than last time (about a year ago).

Have fun at the weigh in today. I'm sure your hard work will have paid off.

My hard work has paid off and I was down 2.6 pounds at weigh-in today!!! I'm so pumped! I'm expecting a plateau soon so I'm going to keep pushing and up my water this week. No plans yet for the weekend so that is looking good.
Here is how yesterday looked:
B - ff yogurt & all bran buds
Snack - 3 cups mint green tea
L - Life Smart brand frozen chicken primivara (4 ww points)
Snack - peanut butter curves bar
Exercise - 1 hour spinning & abs - 50 min bike, 10 min abs & stretch
D - big veggie salad - romaine, shredded carrot & radish, tomato, black olives, yellow pepper, 1 can tuna in water
Snack - 1 point caramel bar, ff yogurt
total steps - 8500 - I never has as many when it's spinning class instead of aerobics.
I really think trying those wedding dresses on really sparked something in me and I just feel like Im going to reach my goal no problem - I feel great!
Today is busy at work so I won't get as much a chance to stop by everyone's journals but hope everyone is having a great day! :seeya:

I skipped my aerobics class last night because I had to work late and then needed to get some groceries and it was snowy and miserable out so I went straight home after that. I think I worked out like 8 days in a row so I thought a day off was deserved.
Here how the day went:
B - ff yogurt & all bran buds
Snack - 1 1/2 cups mint green tea
L - big veggie salad, same as dinner the night before with 1 can tuna in water drained. FF california dressing
D - 1 1/2 cup smart spagettini with home made sauce - zuchini, peppers, onion, canned tomato, canned sauce, extra lean ground turkey (it was so good - I love pasta)
I shouldn't have needed to snack because I didn't work out and had a huge dinner but I couldn't help myself
Snacks - 1 sugar free chocolate pudding (1 point), apple w peanut butter (too much peanut butter too), 1 point peanut butter bar - I was really craving the peanut butter!! Went to bed full and not feeling as good as I do after working out. oh well today is another day and I am going to spin like crazy tonight!
 
Omg I'm totally with you on that peanut butter thing.... I've been eating peanut butter everyday!!! I don't know what is up with that!!! LOL

Thanks girls for stopping by! I'm so happy I can motivate you Ana - knowing that you are checking out my updates motivates me to keep going! I love catching up in your journal too - I always learn new things by reading what everyone else is up to and what's working for them.
Here's how yesterday went:
B - ff yogurt & all bran buds
Snack - 2 1/2 cups mint green tea
L -instant regular oatmeal with 2 cups strawberries
Snack - sugar free chocolate pudding cup
Exercise - 1 hr spinning - 50 min bike, 5 min squats, 5 min stretch - I didn't want to go but made myself because I skipped aerobics yesterday. Was so glad I went because I felt great afterward and had a great workout.
D - big veggie salad - romaine, shredded carrot, shredded cabbage, shredded radish, black olives, tomato, cucumber, 2 tsp olive oil & balsamic vinegar, 1 can tuna in water.
Snack - 1 point peanut butter bar, 1 point caramel bar
Total steps 1200 - this was a lot for a spinning day but I have been busier than normal at work so moving around more - and drinking more water which means walking up the stairs to go to the bathroom more!
Feeling good about the weekend. Will update everyone Monday.

...Alcohol for me too, is an issue on weekends, and it does take a toll on my eating as well,...and I do the same things you used to too, in regards to eating afterwards and not even remembering it...:(...that sucks....and I hate finding "wrappers" evidence the next day! hahaha!! :blush5:!!!

My weekend was so-so. I only had one beer but snacked a lot! And last night my mom had us over for a huge dinner - turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, cabbage rolls, perogies & sour cream, and tarts for dessert! I had it all and seconds and felt so overly full! She sent us home with some left overs and later I had 2 more tarts!! I feel gross today.
I've been sitting here today with the lunch I brought (oatmeal & berries) and wanting to go and get a spicy chicken meal from Wendy's. Isn't that awful! that's all I can think about. I'm hoping after reading the nice words Alta wrote and after looking through a couple journals my craving will go away and I will be satisfied with my oatmeal. I think I need some more water.
Exercise wasn't as good as it could have been either - I skipped Fridays aerobics and told myself I would work out at home but I didn't, I got settled on the couch and stayed there till I went to bed. Saturday was a little better, I did 45 min of the biggest loser cardio max dvd and 45 min of Wii Fit. Sunday I did the drop in spin class and 40 min of laps in the pool - I felt great after that. Today I'm feeling sluggish and it's raining and miserable out. I can't skip aerobics tonight and have to go no matter how much I don't want to. Anyway off to read some journals and find some motivation. Work will be a lot slower this week so I will have time.
 
Hey, don't feel bad about the snacking and big dinner thing! You stayed on track with working out and that's what matters most! It's okay that you skipped Friday though - sometimes, we need that! But GET YOUR BUTT TO CLASS TONIGHT!!! LOL I don't know if you stopped by my journal yet but woooooo this weekend was not the greatest for eating! I pigged out on beer and pizza! and was totally feelin' it on Sunday! But Halloween is already this weekend so I know I have to kick some major ass this week at the gym!!! YOU TOO!!! Ha :p It is also crappy out here today - 55 degrees and misting... what the hell?! If you want to rain, weather... just rain!! It's so miserable out there!

Cheer up!!! You know what might make you reconsider that Wendy's deal?
I want to buy the books but they are kind of expensive. Anyway I had fun looking at this website this morning... kind of made me feel gross for eating some of that stuff!!!! I learned that a chicken fajita wrap from Applebees has like the same amount of fat (or something like that) as 7 beef tacos from Taco Bell!! YUCK!! But it's cool to see what is really in that stuff!!!

Good Morning Gorgeous!!!....Glad to hear you minimized the beers this weekend!! :D!!!... I had 5 of them, throughout the weekend....not as bad as I normally would have :D!....I did it!! Because of quite a few of you,...I weighed myself..and me and you are at the same...154!!! :D!!!

YAY!!!...I want to get to 144 soooooo bad....I can taste it!!!... I also have been working out consistently...you are motivating me woman!!..Keep up the great work!!...Wouldn't it be amazing to be in the 149's by next week?!?! :eek2:!!!...I'd love that!! :beating:....hahah!!! :D!!!...
 
Thanks girls! Coming here and posting this morning and then going and reading everyone's updates from the weekend really made me rethink that burger and I stuck to my oatmeal!!
I was doing some research online of the gym's we have in the city and found a great deal - they are currently offering no enrollement fee (usually $199) at a gym that is on my way to and from work and they offer spinning, aerobics, zumba, a swimming pool, etc. I am currently enrolled in spinning and aerobics and they do not end until the middle of December and I was going to get a gym membership at that time but since they are offering no enrollement fee I am going to sign up tonight! I'm still going to finish up my other classes but thought I could start working out before work too! Or switch it up on different days or be able to go swimming more - I'm just so excited! I think this is the motivation I need this week - something new. I'm excited to be able to get back on the treadmill and start doing more strength training.
If I would have gone and got Wendy's for lunch I probably would have ruined my whole week - now I'm feeling great about the week ahead.

The new gym sounds great. It might be a bit more flexible than having to book in to classes? I bet you'll love having all those exercise choices. I hate doing the same thing day after day and have to mix it up.

I've been struggling with food choices too, you did well not giving into your craving. Its way better to plan that kind of food into your diet so that you know you are in control (just like you did!)

I had the weekend off and had a real relaxed time with my family. I'm feeling recharged and I'm back into the full on work/eat/exercise thang!
