Time to stick with it!!

CG- don't let events of one night let you down like that. Sounds like your fiance is an amazing, supportive guy (I mean of course he is, he's your fiance:)). And Nightrunner is right, don't be too hard on yourself. 16 lbs lighter body is bound to feel different but you work out more you'll tone up and you will look super hot and no one is gonna be able to resist you. Your fiance is gonna have to fight off advances from men, I tell ya!! :) :) Try a different strategy next time you guys get busy. Sexy lingerie, good music, candle lights...the works. :) Good luck!

And thanks for your suggestion on overcoming the plateau. Gonna try to shock my body.

Take care, and have an amazing weekend!

Thanks Juni and nightrunner for the advice - I'm really working on it and realized I need to have some patience. I really just wasn't in the mood and trying to force myself which made things worse.
So yesterday was another good day down for the books - a couple not so healthy snacks at night but still in my daily points allowence.
B- ff yogurt, 1 cup raspberries & all bran buds pouch
Snack - 2 cups mint green tea
L- 1 can tomato soup
Exercise - 1 hr spinning class, 50 min bike, 10 min abs & stretch
D- whole wheat tortilla pizza - salsa, green olives, green onion, 1 ff cheese slice, veggie salad - spring mix, orange peppers, green onion, cucumber, green grapes sliced, tomato, peas, 2 tsp olive oil & balsamic vinegar, 4oz glass red wine
Snacks - 100 cal curves peanut butter bar, 2 1 point bars - peanut butter, caramel
Total Steps 13700
I think the red wine triggered the extra snacking plus I forgot to pack a snack to have inbetween work and spinning and was so hungry when I got home. Maybe too because I didn't have any protein with dinner.
So the weekend begins at 4pm!! I have some plans to go out so hopefully I don't drink too much that I forget about healthy eating. I'll update you Tuesday how I made out! Wish me luck! Have a great weekend everyone!
Happy Thanksgiving to all the Canadians!:waving::cheers2:

CG, how was Thanksgiving and the long weekend? Hope u r having fun with family and friends. Happy Thanksgiving!

Hey girl! Haven't heard from ya in a while... just stoppin by to see how you're doing!!! Hope you had a great weekend!!

I wish I was a size 10. I am a size 12 and it feels like "SO" much bigger than a size 10.

I am still a size 12 in most things but it does feel good to put that odd size 10 on! I can't wait till I can automatically grab the 10! Keep it up and it will happen to you too!

Hey girl! Haven't heard from ya in a while... just stoppin by to see how you're doing!!! Hope you had a great weekend!!

Thanks girls - the weekend was fun and filled with family and food!
And now I'm in a rut! :banghead:I ate everything and nothing in moderation which I really didn't want to do. I also drank like a fish and that just made me want to eat more! I didn't exercise for three days in a row and can feel it. I started exercising again Tuesday but continued to eat bad food because it was in the house and we hadn't gotten groceries. Tonight is grocery night and hopefully I won't give in to my cravings come night time. :nopity:
I'm not really mad at myself like I usually am because I know these things are going to happen and it all tasted so good going down. My stomach really paid the price though. I had a tummy ache all weekend.
So here we go again - I really need to concentrate on the healthy lifestyle and not pig out every other weekend.:piggy:
I've been too scared to get on the scale and skipped my WW meeting Wednesday so I am hopefully going to get on it tomorrow and jump right back into things! Wish me luck!

You know what... I've been having terrible cravings this week too! I've been snacking a little more than I should... (like today when I got home from the mall, I ate some pretzels and an ice cream sandwich and a mini recess peanut butter cup... eek!) so I'm trying to blame in on my period but that is no excuse!!! I know it's hard, but try not feel bad.... just get some good healthy groceries tonight and get right back on track! The good thing is that you KNOW you need to get back on track and you're NOT giving up!!! You've already come this far... there's NO turning back now!! :)

I've got my eye on you!!!! LOL jk (but I do!!! hahah)

Check ya later! :coolgleamA:
~ Sarah

Thanks sarah for having an eye on me! That really cheered me up and reminded me why I post!
OK so I'm back and feeling great again! I think I needed a little break and a chance to reenergize to come back in full force! I started keeping track of points again yesterday and really being accountable.
Here's how yesterday looked:
B- ff yogurt & all bran buds - I really wanted to stop on my way to work and get a warm bagel full of delicious cream cheese but knew if I did I would continue to crave them and not keep track for the rest of the day so I said no and kept driving.
Snack - 2 cups mint green tea
L - big veggie salad with ff california dressing (wanted to bring some tuna to put in it but we were all out - going grocery shopping after work).
Snack - 1 cup mint green tea
Exercise - 1 hr spinning & abs class, 50 min on bike, 10 min abs & stretch, it was a great workout and I was soaked in sweat! (this class killed me Tuesday after eating crap and not exercising all weekend - I really noticed my energy levels were way down compared to yesterday)
D - big stir fry with beef chunks - water chestnuts, baby corn, broccoli, red pepper, onion, cucumbers & salt
Snack - 1 point peanut butter bar, 50 cal skinny cow fudgsicle
Total steps 7000 - not as many as usual but I was listening to the radio at work for a contest and didn't want to leave my computer and miss the song I was waiting for.
So once again I am back at it and feeling better and more ready than ever. I really noticed my mood change when I was eating crap, not exercising and drinking everything but water! I really didn't like that person either but realize how easy it is to get in that rut and get out of it is even harder! It's really mind over matter and you have to really want it. I realized if I continued eating that way for even another week I would have gained 5 pounds been back in the 160's and lost all motivation. I don't want to ever be in the 160's again unless I'm prego.
So thanks to this site and everyone I'm in contact with for getting me back on track and back to being the girl I like - not the crabby, moody, lazy girl I have left in my past!
Oh and BTW since I missed my WW meeting and weigh-in on Wednesday I realized I had to face the music today and stopped at WW to get weighted, they didn't have a meeting but I wanted to get accountable and start fresh so I went and GUESS WHAT!!! I was down 0.6 pounds! I couldn't believe it and told the lady she must have made a mistake but it wasn't a mistake. My metabolism must be getting faster because the old me could never have pulled that off. I really busted my butt on that bike last night and last wed-fri were good days too so I'll take it!
This weekend is all planned and I am happy to say I have no plans to go out drinking or partying and no cheat days scheduled. Tonight I am going to aerobics after work and then cooking my hunny a healthy dinner and probably watch a movie and hit the hay early. Tomorrow morning my mom is picking me up early to go wedding dress shopping - just to look because I don't want to commit to anything before these last 16 pounds are gone. Then Sunday morning I am meeting a friend early for spinning and swimming and therefore have no excuse to miss it or drink the night before. I'm feeling good about not partying till Halloween and having a bigger loss next week!
Hope everyone has a great weekend and thanks again for being here for me this week when I really needed it! This site rocks!

AWESOME!!! I'm sooo happy for you!!! 0.6 lost is great!! Way to pick yourself up right away... you're doing a fabulous job :) ... Keep it up! :hurray:

Hey girl! sounds like you are doing an amazing job!!! way to go! It must feel great to know that you're body is responding to all the workouts you've been doing----increased metabolism! i hope i can say that one day!

Enjoy the wedding dress shopping! a few years back i was taking a class next to a school that had a dress boutique next to it. i always stopped by just to look at the dresses...they're sooooo elegant you never get bored of looking!
Hope you have a great time!!

I agree CG, this site totally rocks!!

And WTG on the loss. You are so gonna come down the 16lbs in no time.

And what a fun weekend you have planned. good decision on staying away from partying this weekend. Halloween is just around the corner.

Your journal motivates me to go out and beat this frigging plateau. And, thank you for the kind words. You know how to cheer me up.

Hope you are having an amazing weekend.

Hey cg

how was the weekend? Sounds like you had some good plans.

I haven't been eating great, but trying to keep on top of the exercise...

A

I'm really busy at work so I can't stay long but just wanted to update how the weekend went. It went great! Eating wasn't 100% but I only had 1 beer and 1 glass of wine all weekend.
Friday I went to aerobics and we did 20 min step aerobics, 20 min strength training & 20 min thai chi. I came home and had tomato soup with rice for dinner and a couple snacks in the evenings - cheese, triscuts, kubasa but no alcohol. We got invited to a friends house to celebrate his birthday but I wanted to wake up early the next day and stick to my plan not to party so I sent the finance and went to bed early. Good thing too because he didn't get home till 2:30am! I was glad with my decision and he said I didn't miss out.
Saturday I woke up early and did 35min of the biggest loser cardio max dvd had some ff yogurt and waited for my mom to pick me up. We went and tried on some wedding dresses and I really enjoyed it! I thought I would hate it but I didn't. I tried on mostly size 12's but also a couple size 10's! I put two aside that I really liked that I'm going to go back in Dec. and try on. In one of them I had some extra back fat that I didn't like so that is going to keep me motivated until Dec. Plus I didn't mind the no sleeves! One was a halter style and the other had spagetti straps - two styles I have never worn in my life and I wasn't drawn to only my arms so that was a huge first! My mom was so happy I liked some of them because she thought I would never find anything! That got me really excited about the wedding. I went home and did an hour on the Wii Fit because I felt so motivated! Saturday night I stayed in too with my hunnie and we watched a couple movies and I hate 1 beer & 1 glass of wine and a couple chips but nothing that made me feel really guilty or that made me think I was going to gain 5 pounds!
Sunday I woke up early again and went to a drop in spinning class - we did 50 min on the bike and a 10 min stretch then I went in the pool and spent 30 min doing laps - my arms feel like rubber today from it! I then went home and made a big brunch - scrambled eggs - with egg whites, canned potatoes cut up into small pieces and cooked in the frying pan with a little pan spray and some white onion and then we tried turkey bacon for the first time and it was really good! I didn't have any toast with it but a little ketchup. We then headed to town and did some shopping for our Halloween costumes and bought a couple shag prizes for our shag in Dec. When we got home I did some cleaning and then made a nice dinner - chicken, salad & corn on the cob. Had a couple 1 point bars as a snack but not much else.
I woke up this morning and fell great about the week ahead! I'm usually lazy and sluggish Monday morning but not today and I think it's because I exercised all weekend and didn't drink like a fish!

Hey cg

how was the weekend? Sounds like you had some good plans.

I haven't been eating great, but trying to keep on top of the exercise...

A

As long as you keep on top of the exercise you should be able to maintain and that is just important once you get to goal! Keep it up though and work on the eating this week!
Thanks for stopping by! I'll have to check on your journal when I get some more free time at work. Take care

It was so fun to go wedding dress shopping! I think the one I really liked was classy, elegant and not too over the top! I'll post a pic in Dec when I go back and try it on - hopefully less back fat by then!
Thanks Juni and I did have a great time. Hope you are doing good. I'll come visit when I get a chance! Take care

So glad I can motivate you - you motivate me too! I feel so bad for you and your plateau, I know how frustrating that must be! Glad I can cheer you up. I'll stop by and check out how your weekend went when I get a chance. Take care.

AWESOME weekend.... :hurray: You should be very proud of yourself for sticking to your plans! Staying in isn't so hard anymore now that you have your determination to lose weight. You are doing great!!! I'm going to go to a spin class for the first time tonight and I am sort of nervous that I'm not going to be able to keep up! The class REQUIRES a towel and a bottle of water! LOL I'm going to fall over!!! I see that you take a lot of spinning classes so it must be a good work out :) I'll let ya know how that goes for me! haha

Take care, keep it up :coolgleamA:

I love spinning! At first I didn't think I would be able to keep up either but I was pleasantly surprised. I feel like I'm getting better and better at it every week. I'm signed up to go every Tuesday & Thursday night and then occassionaly I go to a drop in class on Sundays. It ends Dec. 18th and I think I'm going to sign up again because it's the best hour workout I've ever done - I can really feel it in my core afterwards. So glad you are trying it out!
Like Ana says - you feel so great once it's over!

Yesterday was a good day and I love how I started out the week in a good mood with lots of energy. It's still hard to get out of bed in the morning and it's supposed to snow 5-10 cms tomorrow so I'm not looking forward to that but I'm just generally happier than normal lately and I relate it to the weight loss. My finance made the first comment about me losing weight yesterday and said "all your clothes are really baggy on you". I'm taking it as "good work babe". I was like "I know I need to do more shopping :)" I'm still holding off though - mostly because I can't afford new clothes right now - planning a wedding is very expensive!
Here's how yesterday looked:
B- ff activia yogurt w all bran buds
Snack - 2 cups mint green tea
L - big veggie salad - spring mix, broccoli, green onion, black olives, yellow pepper, cucumber, tomato, carrots w ff california dressing
Snack - pear
Exercise - 1 hr aerobics class - we used a skipping rope for 45 min and it was intense! 15 min abs & stretch
D - tortilla pizza - whole wheat tortilla, salsa, 10 green olives, tomato, left over chicken & onions, 1 slice ff cheese - it was so good!
Snack - 1 point peanut butter bar, curves peanut butter bar, pickles, ff activia yogurt
Total Steps 11340 - if it wasn't for my aerobics class I probably would have only had like 5000 steps!
Feeling good about the rest of the week and no plans yet for the weekend - hopefully nothing comes up because I would like to have another relaxing, feel good weekend before Halloween!
