*Tiffany*'s Diary

Well, I have been gone for a long time, but I am back again. I had a lot going on with school and such, but I am on a break from that for a while. I have looked in on some of you from time to time. Sorry for going MIA on you all.

ALSO- I hit ONEderland this morning! YIPEEEEE!!

I have noticed that my weight loss is slowing down. It gets a tad discouraging, so I came back here to jump back into the support. Sorry I went MIA on you all.

I hope some of you at least remember me or I will sound like an idiot.:)

:hurray:Welcome back Chicky!!!:cheers2:Congrats on onderland:)I went backwards:reddevil: for awhile and recenetly restarted with the forum...:party:Im so glad to see you back:grouphug:!!!Looking forward to hearing how everyone is doing...

Thanks for the warm welcome back. I guess I just need to jump right in and post how things are going.

I was 199 a few days ago, but I only saw that for ONE morning. (I weigh every day). I do really well diet wise until about 3 or 4 pm. Then, I either struggle for the rest of the day, or I give in and snack my brains out. Today was a "Snack my brains out day". Of course I HATE it that I wasted all of those calories and put myself even further out of the 100's, but I have been at this long enough to know that it will do no good to beat myself up about it. I just need to jump right back on. I have not excerised today, but I am about to go do at least 30 minutes on the elliptical. Guess, I better get to it.

YAY!!!! Welcome to Onderland TIffinay!! I'm soo proud of you!

Hey hun, sorry it took me so long to get back to you, life has been pretty crazy on my end lately!

So you have a certain time of day where you tend to binge huh?? I tend to need the pick up around 2-3 myself....what if you were to do a short workout? Drink a tall glass of water and some sugar free gum...that helps me sometimes! I've heard that a person only really craves food for 10 min's...if you can distract yourself long enough to get past those 10 min's you should be fine!!

Heres to Onderland girl!!:cheers2:

Thanks for the tip, Korrie. I think I will use that. I never feel like eating anything after a workout, so that should do the trick for me. So far today it is 2:45 and I am still not tempted to binge. I did have a cup of coffee with Sweet-n-low. That helps me, too, and gives me that energy boost I am needing. I hope your crazy life calms down soon.

Weigh in today: 198!!
I have done well foodwise all day. I did not work out last night because I was flat out sick and barfy(too much info, I know). But tonight I will definatley do my eliptical and stepper and then lift weights. Tomorrow is a big diet breaking day, so I am going to be on my gaurd and write down a list of exactly what I am going to let myself est tomorrow. If I have tangible goals then I am more likely to stick with them. I don't do as well when I say that I am just "not going to eat too much".

Well, I better get back to the kiddos.

Hey Tif!!
I hope you had another great week!!! How was your Thanksgiving?? Did you go out of town??Is school still keeping you real busy???

I hope to see you post again soon.
HUGS!
Kim

I am actually on a small break from school right now. :)

I need some help...I have been on a plateau for almost three weeks now. I need to bust this thing. I started analyzing my diet and exercise plan and realized that I have been way under my needed calories for a while now. So, I am going to up my cals back up to where they belong. So, am I going to gain weight from this?? Anybody know how long until it starts going back down? I HAVE to get off of this plateau!!

Any help out there??!??

I'm sorry hun, I really have no education to answer that question. I know I have heard that when you hit a plateu you need to shake things up a bit, mainly in the way of excersize, maybe excersize a bit more, or change the time of day you excersize. If your doing 45 min's of excersize in a row, maybe you can do 2 30 min sets instead to help increase the amt of time?

I've also heard of people having like, 1600 cals for a few days, then 1200 cals for a few days its SUPPOSED to confuse your body and prevent plateus...but like I said, I really can't speak w/ any authority on the matter.....I really dont' know what else to say....how many cals are you consuming on a daily basis??

Well, I just now started tracking them again and realized that I was only getting 1200 cals if I ate a lot that day. SO, maybe I need to up my cals for a while to "reset" my metabolism?? I have now figured that I need to shoot for somewhere between 1600-2000 to lose a pound a week.

You are right. I do need to shake things us to confuse my body. I guess it is back to the drawing board to figure out what to do. I really am lucky. I lost 63 pounds without ever hitting a real plateau. If I can get lucky enought to do that again...I will be done.

Thanks for the advice...again....Korrie. I can always count on you to be a helpful lady!

yea, 1200 on a high day isn't good...I'm personally shooting for 1800/day for now. You'll get through this babe :) Don't worry about it!

Hey Tif, If you up your calories stick with it for a few weeks, then back down to maybe 1500 calories, I wouldn't go any lower than 1500, you need the nutrition and 1200 just isn't a lot. You might be losing muscle and that's not what you want to do. I know all to well, because that's what I was doing at the beginning when I lost my first 15 pounds and then started to plateau, some of others on here who are really into nutrition and exercise told me I needed to up my calories if I wanted to continue working out like I was, then about every 8 weeks give your body a break and lower them just a little, then bring it back up. I try and keep my calories at 1500-1600 a day, but recently I've increased a couple hundred more, because I'm working out A LOT! I need to fuel to keep me going, it's working for me as I'm toning a lot, even if the scale isn't moving down fast, I'm only losing a couple pounds a month now, not a lot, but as long as it stays gone I'm happy! You just have to figure out what works for you, as we all know what works for one person, may not work for another. Good luck to you!! And CONGRATS on all the weight you have lost so far, that's wonderful!!! Your obviously doing something right. :seeya:

Well, I have been on a hightened calorie diet for about two weeks, give or take. Now I am going back down, so I sure am hoping for a change this week. If not, I just don't know what to do. This has been going on too long...

On the good news front, I came home from grocery shopping last night and my husband had a treadmill set up for me in the living room!! I am so excited about that because I have really mourned my running since the time changed.

Well, I guess I am off to read a few diaries then go do a morning workout.

Hi Tiffany! It was nice to hear from you today!! I don't blame you for waiting till after christmas, its such a tempting time of year!

I'm gonna create a new weight loss challenge for January, maybe you'll join us?

Hey Tif!
How's the treadmill going?? Are you enjoying it ever extra minute you get?? I would love to own a treadmill in my home, currently I have a stationary bike and weight bench, free weights, not tempted in the least to use any of them, instead I use them at the gym. LOL LOL but a treadmill I certainly know I would use. Maybe I'll look at them for after Christmas sales, that might work. HEHEHHE

Sure hope you have a VERY MERRY and WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS!

Many Blessing to you and your family!
Love
Kim

Hey all. I know I went MIA again.:blush5:

I have just really been struggling with time and motivation...as in I have none of either.

After gaining back up to 209 I decided that enough is enough...again. I hired a teenager to come sit for me four days a week so I can go workout. Running mostly. Now if I could just get my diet back on track. I have a serious love affair with colas. It has to stop..that stuff is poison. Anyways, I am coming up on my one year anniversary of starting my weight-loss life and joining this forum.(March 13th) I would really love to be back in the 100's by then.

You guys and gals have always been so supportive...and not big abandoners like me. Thanks for that! I have laerned so much here and I come read whenever I need motivation...even when I don't post.

Here's to the road back to the 100's and back in the right direction...
