ate like crap on the weekend. But weigh in on friday beforehand was all good lol.
Got news my grandmother died last night so 12 hours driving tomorrow to funeral, back friday night. Dont stress, im not cut up about it, only going because my brother wanted to and wanted support. I hadnt seen the granny for about 15-20 years :)
But on the other hand, work pays bereavement leave so paid holidays are all good.

ate like a pig, walked about 2-3 hours today and biked another. did all the funeral shit and eating was all messed up then too (no breakfast and lunch at 3pm = binge then no dinner)

Cant wait to get back home!
On the plus side i caught up with tons of family i hadnt kept up with :)

Sounds like 2 pluses - lots of exercise there. I bet you're feeling pretty good now. I suppose you are keen to get back to the rest of your family. I don't envy you that drive though. No matter how beautiful, 12 hours is a long stretch - or will you break it up?

heh no im doing terrible! i ate such garbage! especially on the trip home. Nothing like driving for 7 hours solid, and sitting on a ferry for 3 hours to drive you to eat! erk!

Oh no - the ferry too. The ferry is a real temptation, no where to go, nothing to do - but food and drinks available.

I hope things are good now you're home?

no idea, too tired now to care or notice. I think im good again. Its easier when you dont have to buy it!

ok did the 10km run, i have a 21km one in 1.5 weeks (yeek i thought it was further away than that!). Legs are sore from massive amounts of climbing up and down mountain trails, though because of the cycling i did really well on that sort of course which is excellent! :D

Hey Wishes, long time no see. Rest those legs up for your big day. I think you've knocked a few pounds off since the last time I saw you. Y our current weight looks real good to me. Have fun in your event.

oh buggered if i know what the weight is, im not overly concerned with that. Just trying to eat properly and failing lots lol. If it wasnt for all the exercise id be fat again i reckon.

Rode my daughter on the tandem to horse riding them walked around following her, then rode about halfway back home and other daughter winged enough that i rang husband to pick her/us up (it was nigh on 2pm and we hadnt had lunch anyway).
Visited friends after that, then sprinted the lawn mowing (i can mow my entire lawn in about 15 mins, and it can be tricky!).
Its 7pm just about to have yum stir fry for dinner (home made) that my husband has made. There was an incident this week where my husband had been spending lots of time with another female on a ps3 game and msn, i put my foot down explaining that its not natural for a person to spend 3-4 hours a day with the same person of opposite sex for more than a couple weeks in a row. The fact that he was looking at how much flights were to get to frankfurt (near where she lives) and asking friends what it was like dating a girl overseas didnt impress me much either!

Lets just say shit hit the fan, its been busy, but its all sorted and good now. I think it just didnt occur to him where it was going until i pointed it out.

bowed out of the second 21km running race - shins were just too touchy. I switched to a 20km bike ride. I havnt ridden much in the last 5 months, wow talk about dieing lol. less than 6 months ago i did 160km fine, yesterday i struggled with 20km (admittedly it was at a pretty fast pace!)

dum te dum. Well this is the weekly update. Ive been slack on the diary front, but good on the diet/exercise front.
walked/biked/run to work every day this week. stuck to a stupidly low protien and veg rich diet all week, and gone from 81-82kg down to 77.6 today. Thats a great loss. I need to really get down to 70kg if i can and i have another 2 weeks to do that. Surgery is booked for 6 weeks away (mid may) but if somebody cancels i need to be ready in about 2 weeks.
Today im cycling out to take daughter to horse riding and back (40km total on the tandem with a daughter who probably wont pedal much), then we are heading out to the Balloons over Waikato thing which is a hot air balloon event. Im guessing there will be a lot of walking involved in that, pretty much most of the day. And if this sat is like other sats then im guessing ill be eating very little as its a pretty busy day! Excellent!

Hopefully Ill get some great photographs of balloons taking off and landing and at night time :D

its not to bad, But as i said im on a pretty nasty diet. Its definatly not a lifestyle choice! :D

Once the surgery is done ill go back to eating healthy, ive grown quiet acustomed to being curvy to be honest and could happily live my life at the current weight. Which i suppose was why i never got around to dropping the last few :)
I dont have a problem with going up to that again at all after surgery, i think its the happy medium between overeating and starving for me.

Today im knackered though. Protien bar and cup of tea for breaky ( was in a hurry), cycled my daughter to horse riding lessons 20km, jogged around the farm behind her for an hour closing and opening gates, then cycled her back home 20km. I did have a trim mocha whilst at horse riding but its 2pm and i get home, and ive ridden 40km, run 10km, and burnt about 1600 calories, and only eaten 400 max.
Going out tonight and probably going to be doing another lot of standing and walking for the better part of 3pm-10pm, so trying to shovel in some low fat yoghurt, catchup on water, and pack a bag of picnic dinner (just some panini with chicken and ham and salad etc).

fat ... thats how you burn it :D

So went out, had to walk 30 mins each way to the car (add on an hour of walking there), plus walking around the grounds, Ate my yum Panini for dinner and watched hot air balloons and fireworks. walked around some more. Legs are absolutly dead today. Feeling great though, debating what to do today and where to go. Such a great diet/weight loss day yesterday! If only i had the time to do that every day!

Hi Wishes
Sounds like you're doing well and getting ready for the surgery. Thanks for your thoughts/advice on relationships.

Thought I'd let you know that my youngest daughter was yesterday diagnosed with juvenile diabetes. This is a great shock to us, and I'll be rooming in with her on Pediatrics for the next week as we learn what our life will now be like with insulin injections, glucose testing, and whatever else. *sigh* i am very tired but trying to absorb everything.

Good luck on all that you're up to
ABBA

Nice control you've got going there wishes. Good on you.

Good luck with your preparation for surgery. You've been working towards this for so long - and now it's getting close - with actual dates!

Got smear test back with 'low grade' changes, hopefully that wont stop the surgery (its usually nothing)

Strange but Real Diets:

1) The Cotton Ball Diet involves eating cotton balls - either dry or soaked in gelatin because cotton balls are low in calories, but very filling, so you aren't tempted to eat real food, which contains calories and some other stuff that keeps you healthy and alive.

2) The Sleeping Beauty Diet is based on the idea that when you're asleep you're not eating. This diet involves sedating yourself and was one Elvis used later in life.

3) The Chewing Diet is based on the premise that not chewing enough causes constipation and weight gain. To properly implement the chewing diet, a person must chew each bite over 32 times, then tilt his or her head back and allow the food to trickle down the throat. (Source: Neatorama.com)
