insincere works for me, so long as its compliments to me that is
Type: DO you want to do road biking? or mountain/trail biking ?
If you arnt sure then go for a Hybrid, it has wider tyres than a road bike, but without the huge nodules of a trail/mountain bike. Its also more comfy and can ride both road and off road.
Size: As for frame size, depends on your height, better to go to a decent bike shop and get the correct fitting bike, they should throw in a fitting for free when you buy it.
Fitting: Basicly when sitting on the bike, pedal at the lowest part, your leg should be dead straight when your HEEL is on the pedal. This way when you sit normally with the toes on the pedal your leg is slightly bent. If the seat is too low you end up with sore knees and to high you end up with a sore butt
Make sure you are sitting upwards more, not leaning to far forward (only extreme speed nutters sit in uncomfy positions for ages like that, or sprint racers etc.)
Umm, yeah, thats about it .. wear a helmet!
