I'm glad you're getting good insurance help with the fire. Moving out while other people fix things up sounds like a mixed blessing. Nice to get a good clean up but awkward also I guess. Forgetting the pot on the stove is too easy I think. My worst one was the time I thought I would heat wax and wax my "bikini line". As ripping it off again proved to be impossible for me and I then had no idea how else to get it back off my skin, I spent a lot longer in the bathroom than I expected and came back out to a unit with a foot of black smoke hanging from the ceilings throughout and little dustings of black everywhere. I've had a lot of other near misses though. Reading your story makes me suddenly wonder if I have the right type of house insurance, because it's not insured for "accidents", which were described to me as "things like dropping the tv while you're shifting it... etc". I'm sure I'm capable of much worse now I think about it!!

Anyway it's great news that it caused only a flicker in your weight. I hope you're doing well with the ciggies too.

I have been having a great time in the South Island here and the weather's been variable but worth experiencing. I think my beginner's witchery worked. It is much slower to move around than I realized, though we were told that, so had some idea. New Zealand is much bigger if you count going up and down as well as just straight across a map!1 I am still just hoping we might make it to Rotorua, but will definitely not get any further north I'm afraid.

I hope things are back on track for your really soon!!
 
Rotorua is a nice place. Let me know if you are gonna get there, we may be able to organize something (we go there a LOT because its great for cycling and we have family there)

Yeah everyones had a near miss im sure, i know ive had a few before. Anyway im off cycling - i slept in and missed the usual bunch

Ive had to buckle down on the diet a bit to loose again. Its been a horrid day, from being woken up an hour early, to the van not starting this morning, then my son being sick and having to go doctors etc.

Man i hate mondays :O

on a brighter note ive lost a lb this week (plus the 2lb from last week lol)
 
yes, grats on that pound!

I'm 5'3 and losing weight for me is going to be really slow this time around. I'm going to be on a 1500 cal diet and that will put me at a 1.5 lb a week or so weight loss. I think that is considered to be good and healthy.

Let me ask you this... What keeps you going? What makes you buckle down?
 
woot! today i weighed yet another lb lighter! how do ya like it like that!!!
ive been cutting back on those evening meals a bit only - i was eating too much (in general) and not enough veg/fruit.
cutting back clearly seems to have lost me 2lb in a week! :D

Oh and today must tbe the most awake ive been in a week or two, ive only just realized niapage asked me something *hangs head in shame* and i never replied.
Probably a bit late now :(

I slept well last night though for once - and today we move into the new house until the old one gets fixed.

knew i shouldnt have touched my work laptop whilst im having a bad run of luck
luckily i have no use for my home computer atm, i took it to work so i have a PC to use.
The new place is nice, though ive only so far slept there and cooked dinner. the rest of my time has been spent clearing out the old house

lol thanks, atm i just feel extremly tired and sore from moving furniture. Have been eating pretty crappy calories the last few days (about 800-1000, mostly veges) and doing tons of exercise. Also i noticed a distinct lack of red meats which ill have to add in for iron.
Just so busy that i end up buying easy to cook/eat meals that arnt take aways - and a lot of the time it ends up being a salad and cooked chicken or some sort of cold meat lol.
So although im eating fairly largish meals, they are pretty low calorie and i really need to eat more of em. On the plus side i did drop another bit too and YES! im almost down to 160s!!! :D
Im hopeing tomorrow is the day :)

Well Yeah ive been quiet, no computer at home because my work laptop broke, so i had to move my home one to work for a while. Also been busy busy moving furniture.

Made a point of eating more over the weekend, unfortunatly now i gained back lol (though its probably temporary).
I did weights in the gym where im staying and im nicely sore today. Also since work is only 3.5km away im cycling every day ... it takes a whole 6 mins to get here! avg speed of 32km/ph or somesuch.

went for a shorter ride on saturday with my daughter also - it was meant to be a long ride but she forgot her drink bottle :O
im tempted to run to work rather than ride so i get more of a workout - but the weather frankly sucks atm. Its either raining or windy.

I had erotic dreams about my boss the other day - wtf is with that? i mean hes not even really that hot (just an average looking person). We have nothing in common apart from computers, and im pretty darned sure im not attracted to him!
I think its the new bed - ive not really slept well since being in it.
On a brighter note, the landlord is revamping our house from top to bottom, so its gonna look a lot nicer! :D

Darn i hate those last few pesky bits of weight!
A friend came over, and commented on how nice i looked, and i mentioned that id like to loose another 7kg/15lb. and she said "no way! you dont need to loose any more!"
and i said "well how heavy do you think i am?" and she says "well i would guess lighter than me, and im 65kg, so i would guess 60kg?"
60kg = 130lb. lol
So i said 'umm actually im ..." it was a funny convo. But good because i know that though i weigh heavy i look pretty good. Though i still firmly believe that i can loose the last little bit!
 
oh yeah, barely got time to look at anyones diary sorry.
Only had a look at T2's and that was clearly a time i didnt wanna talk (somebody died) so yeah. sorry everyone - ill get too it when i have time :)

Now for some bullshit dream analysis. Erotic dreams don't necessarily have to do with desire for an individual. It could also be a metaphor about power. Sex is a great equalizing force. It's about 2 people and their bodies, not their educations or bank accounts or goals. Giving pleasure and getting pleasure (ideally).

So it might be something involving your relationship with your boss? I'd think about that, not about the erotic part.

Personally, I believe dreams are essentially random bits of thoughts, trapped in the mind strung together into more or less coherent flashes. But how you interpret them what says a lot about what's going on in your head.

hehe, im not into interpreting dreams - most are too way out and weird lol.
Its just your brain doing all sorts of weird shit.

Anyway, went cycling yesterday - meant to do 100kms but got to 75 before calling the husband. Had some bad chafing going on from about 40kms in. Managed to do another 30ish odd before calling hubby, got some cream called 'chaf-eze' which is friggen awesome for getting rid of the chaffing.
If weather isnt overly bad tomorrow ill go for a ride again trying to get the 100km in.

Oh yeah, this morning i woke up, and im 169.9lb! how cool is that! :D:D
I broke the 170s and im into the 160s! :D

Fruit and vege lift a mood without even a weight loss! Congratulations on all the new numbers though - Yay for the 160's!

That is a bummer about the bed. Sleeping well is a big deal and helps a lot with weight control. I wonder if there is anything you are able to do to improve it - an overlay of some kind maybe?

:eek: This is a strange and awful story to me, though perhaps my joy at returning to a keyboard that works for more than 20 minutes at a time is skewing my response. I hope your employer is able to get you a new work machine asap!!!
 
Just wanted to let you know that I read your web page and I'm sure you have heard it be for but WOW what an inspiration. So don't beat your self down to hard....
