wow, today is the day. 1 year exactly since the start of this journey.
Ive lost 1lb every 3 days approximatly in the last year (averaged out here)
On 12th June 2006 i ate 853 calories for the day. on the 13th I ate 742 .. then i realized what BMI was (I thought if i ate 800 and used 900 that was 100 difference ... heh yeah ok i learnt something since then!)
In the last year i have gone from a size 26 to a size 12.
I have gone from being unfit and inhealthy to being super fit and super healthy (but still not quiet skinny, but im darned close!)
Ive lost about 44% of my original weight of which most would be fat. I was going for 50%, but 44% is pretty good!
I can now take the stairs in our house 3 at a time and not get winded
I can fit in the bath and not overflow it.
I can fit in public toilets without having one ass cheek up the wall or on the sanitary bin
My seat at work no longer groans and squeeks and pisses people off (i think thats a downside actually .. lol)
I can run and play with my kids ... hell i can beat them in a race!
I can fit in my van with the seatbelt on easily .. in fact ive been known to forget ive lost weight and throw myself in with a little too much force and end up almost in the passenger seat :/
I can now cycle for 90-100km, before i used to struggle with the 6km to work .. it took me nearly an hour (could have walked faster i think lol)
I can now share the sofa with my husband, ... and the bed .. WITHOUT taking all the blankets

In fact, my husband can now pick me up and carry me! (though to be honest, he does struggle lol...bloody weakling!)
I can buy clothes off the rack and know they will fit me.
I can safely say that i know of at least 4 people in real life who have used me as inspiration and lost weight themselves. and numerous people online (couldnt even count). And all those people worked their asses off and deserve more credit than i do for that.
ive noticed that my co-workers treat me differently now, some who were antagonistic are now much nicer than they used to be ... typical guy eh
I can still eat junk food, so long as i eat it in
moderation, and i understand now what that word means too!
My husband has lost 10kg since ive been on this diet, and hes happy to loose his pot belly
I no longer have a foot problem from being too heavy.
I now know lots of recipes that dont have meat, cheese, fat, etc in them! in fact i even know some vegetarian ones and i love them !
I can think of millions more cool things from the last year, but now im getting teary etc. and im at work so i better go do some
