How did you manage to ride so much through the summer? I know it's got to get as hot there as it does here in Las Vegas - it was 111 Yesterday and we haven't even officially hit summer yet! I'd like to add more to my exercise routine, especially since we live on a small hill and the end of a walk/ride would always be uphill, but it's just too hot to get out there and do much.

Its winter here! friggen cold.
I wear thermals plus cycling gear. I cycle to work and back (8.5km each way) then do laps on tues and thursday for an hour in the dark (with a group), then go for a 50-100km ride on the weekend.
 
Congratulations on the way you are really making the most of your riding wishes. I know you like to do it but I'm sure it also takes an effort to make it happen - to get the time and get out there in the first place and to keep going long enough to burn 1000 cals in a day in the second and probably a bunch of other stuff I can't guess in the third. 120 km in a week! :)
 
just got back from my doctor, she said my goal weight is probably too light for me. That i should set my goal weight higher than the current weight.
she reckons i ought to be 154lb/70kg - and that should be my goal weight around about.
 
Okay I have to ask you, do you look in the mirror and go WOW who is that good looking chick I see?? I mean OH MY GOSH!! your so skinny! You look great!! Love the jeans! What a big difference, that's incredible and that's all I have to say, because I'm speechless. :jump: :) :jump: :rotflmao:

they are called 'skinny' jeans for a reason :D:D
i also got some bootleg ones also because i kinda like the style.

I am shotting for 150 then if I need to lose a few more then I will.
But my top off weight according to height and frame was 141 being

I love that top in those newest pics Liz, it's so cute!! That overlay you did looks really neat. I'd love something like that, but you'd have to have both pics taken from the same distance, right?
 
T2 Trucker did the overlay
and nah you just measure the head or shoulders or something like that and scale them so the part you are measureing is the same size.
I usually would use head bacause it doesnt loose much in size, I think Trucker used shoulders on that one. Its very cool though :)
 
Wishes, I am truly impressed. A person who can stick to such discipline over the long term and make the changes they know they need to make deserves much respect in my book. congrats, and I hope the last bit goes even easier than all the first did. You should have lots of confidence that you can be one of those few who keeps it off permanent too.

As somebody rightly pointed out those pants are soooo not flattering. But im skinny enough that i couldnt care less :)

ooo i still have my moments. Me and Lamb have this love/hate thing going on. On several occasions ive eaten just a tad too much and been unable to stop.... so ive had nothing else for dinner :O (that was tonight)
And i stil do eat a pretty shitty diet - even if its a calorie controlled shitty diet :)
Point being, my self control isnt *that* great, nor my discipline, but i now recognize where i overeat, and i compensate in other areas (ie if i know im eating lamb ill eat less for breakfast/lunch, or if im tired ill go to bed rather than overeat).

So went to the PT today, he gave me the killer leg weights.
Hes gone to doing single leg, leg press because otherwise he doesnt have enough weights.
As of tonight i do 100kg (220lb) per leg.... im gonna be sore tomorrow.
And the cycling - now i have cadence sorted more, i have to work on pedaling technique .... whoever thought there was a friggen technique to it!
Being strong in leg makes it weird to push on empty no resistance pedals. So ill pedal at 60rpm and have a much higher gear (this is known as "grinding") than pedaling at 80-100rpm with very little resistance.
Now im getting past that one, now i have to do a smoother pedal and start pushing at 12 o'clock position through to 9 o'clock rather than 3-6 which most people do (and i probably do as well).
 
You are becoming an expert cycler...very cool. I once knew a guy who was into spinning classes and it was scary how in shape he was. I might get brave and join a class...there's a fitness centre right behind my house that has spinning classes. I commented on your recent pictures in that thread, but again, Wishes, bitchin' commitment! Have a great day.

Good for you. ;) When I read that post, I thought that writing that could maybe be ok, if this was a model site and we were here to ask for advice on how to dress when trying to make ourselves LOOK different, without making any changes INSIDE the clothes.
The before&after is there for the sole purpose of revealing the true change in the persons body, so hiding = beside the point.
There's nothing wrong with the pants. Or what's inside.
Just my 0,05€.
