I hope that many people who need to lose weight read your forum and see what can happen if they try!! Lots can happen in a year!! Congrats on the medical exam!!
 
Damn girl look at you 170's and you sure have lost alot of weigh tin one year - my hat and everythign else is off to you girl !!!

Yeah, its one reason ive kept my diary offsite now also. So i have a record of the entire thing as well.

my scales finally told me the stats

apparently 44% fat 38% water - lol
that would mean if i got down to 20% body fat i would proabably be 100lb ... lol yeah right :)

I think ill stick with what looks good than my scales measurements for now :D
 
man ive owned those scales for 6 months, i waited this long for them to tell me my body stats - those suck lol!

That's what I get from my scales if I go stand there with my socks on. If you have the same sort of scales, try wet bare feet... Not that the result would be any more accurate, but it's a lot easier to take. :rolleyes:
I'm with Steve and many others here, the scales as body fat analyzer SUCKS!

Wishes, it has been a while since I checked in on you...I looked at your site and all of your pictures! You are doing so amazing!
You really notice the difference when you aren't looking at it every day!

Hard work really does pay off doesn't it! The 180's went
by quick for you ,but you rarely slip up or hardly ever slip up like I do
thats why 180's felt like an eternity for me now time to head for the 160's!
Keep up the gr8 work.
OK Question you bike alot so how many miles would you say I would have to bike to use biking as an exersice tool to lose weight?I gave hubby's bike a try friday for 3 miles and it was not too bad besides my butt hurt severley and the place I rode at isn't 100% flat it has a tiny slant to it?Any tips and advice in this area would be greatful,Tammy

Ahhhh haha no i slip up :)
Not so much on diet and exercise but ive had plateaus and yeah ive done the overeating thing.
As for cycling. Your butt will hurt .. its the muscles being used to clench .. this gives you a great butt - work through it! Just like if you started running your legs would hurt for a few days or weeks.

As for distance/speed. Go for distance every time. Forget about time and speed, just do the distances. I STILL cant get up the speed that others do (unless its a downhill), but i can cycle for 45miles non stop which takes me 4 hours. I cant win a race, but i can finish one, which is more than anyone else i know can.
I know the speed will come with practice and more weight loss. But for now im happy just churning out the miles (my HR is at 90% most of the time and i burn about 1000 calories an hour!).
Weekdays i do laps or short distances faster for an hour here and there, weekends i go with a group and do a long trip.
Yesterday i did 50km (about 25mi) which took 2 hours and burnt 2000 calories. Today is a public holiday and im tempted to do that many again.
 
HOLY MOLY!!Thats alot of pedaling.Maybe I can reach that eventually
this is all still to new for me.I tell ya what riding the 3 mile floodwall was
much more relaxing and coolant than walking it.I thought the whole butt
thing was the "man seat"I totally forgot about butt muscles lol.Thank you
