I am sorry about your crappy day at work,I definatley don't miss that part but watching 3 extra kids in my home for $$ sometimes I wonder how much longer in the sanity department lol.
yeek i would go insane dealing with kids all day lol
ok im back.
friday was a bad food day - saturday was worse! party food eekk!
both days i overate my calories but i was still under 2k so a loss, not stressing about it, just trying to control it before it gets worse.
I took the bike out for a ride today. I was sick all week so thought i better not do the 90k loop, maybe a 50k loop or even the 30k loop. I decided on the 30k because i can do it with a group and its social.
SO i cycled down to the shop, and nobody turned up except me and this one other dude. We talked for 15 mins then when nobody else showed i decided to do the 50km loop.
Well after an hour i was sore 'below' and tired. I had forgotten my wallet so couldnt buy something to eat to boost the energy levels and i just felt to knackered and not up to it.
I rang hubby who came and collected me. Im happy with what i did still, having been sick all week.
The new cycle computer (The Garmin Edge 305 thinee mentioned up earlier) is totally awesome.
When i thought i was having a bad day and riding slow, i knew i wasnt at my peak performance at all but i wasnt totally bad.
I checked the stats off it after the hour 10 mins.
My average speed sucked (but that was because i had done the uphill part of the trip .. not the downhill part) which was to be expected, however my heart rate averaged at about 180bpm. Now according to this thing my maximum heart rate is 187, so effectivly i was working entirely anarobic, and this was on an off day!
It also worked out based on my weight age etc and all the usual crap (its very complex) that i burnt 1100 calories in 1:10 ... wtf?!?!!!
So clearly im working out harder than i thought i was. And I was only figuring i was burning about 600calories an hour usually lol .. that means my 4 hour ride last weekend would have burnt about ... 4000 calories :O
yikes! Anyway, its brung a whole new understanding on how i work out, where i need to work on and what im good at.
So yeah, all is good here in lizzyland
