hahaha you're telling me!
I was so disappointed thinking i wasnt going to be able to put any pounds off on some of the clubs im in.

Im very competitive.

On another note, im adding in cycling to work (as i may have said previously) so bought some cool cycling glasses

Woo Hoo!
Congrats on shedding that water retention!!

Also, never lose site of the fact that if you are eating right, working out, and not losing, you very well could be converting fat poundage for muscle mass.

One of my eating triggers is tiredness - if im tired i eat

From a couple days back.....I am the same way. I'm so glad to hear I'm not the only one. It's like your body needs rest but somehow it gives your brain a signal that it needs food.   I've been really trying to pay attention to that since I discovered it was so.

And you know what you called a little splurge with lamb chops (although honey, I don't think that was a splurge at all)....you listened to your body and gave it what it needed. And in this case the signal was right. Most of the time if we listen to our bodies and become familiar with it's signs it will tell us exactly what it needs. And you needed iron....and it craved lamb chops...and it got what it needed. Good for you.

And yay for the water weight loss.....three pounds is awesome!

yeah, like me (does the stereotypical mr universe type of flexing)

You're doing awesome wishes! Love the new goggles too, I gotta get me a pair of cycling glasses some day as well... I just use my $3 pair I bought at a gas station 4 years ago.... lol, I can be a cheap bastard when it comes to the small things.

Hope to be high fivin' ya in the aug. 10 pound club though, keep it up!

haha yeah the lamb chops were worth it :D~~~ the guilt i had wasnt.
Funnily enough ive noticed my daughter whos had depression for the last year and half - ive given her some of my iron tablets and shes all of a sudden all perky and happy and not depressed anymore!

Ive forgotton my lunch for work for the last couple days - the first time i had soupo which i keep on my desk at work (along with weetbix etc) and the second time i went down the road and bought a loaf of whole grain bread
Yesterday i found i was only on 740 calories for the day which was a bit eek.
I wasnt at all hungry at all - in fact i was pretty full. So i picked up a chocolate bar on the way to my friends in the evening though that was only another 200 cal - it was a nice treat.
I just had to admit defeat i guess :)

I let myself have a treat once in a while...in fact had dessert yesterday (slice of ice cream cake!), and was still down a pound. If I hadn't, I definitely would have given into my cravings last night and binged, but I didn't:D

I guess I don't consider that defeat:rolleyes:

Hey Wishes,

you are doing well. I think that it's great you are starting cycling. I'm not ready for that yet, but it's on one of my goal lists for my triathlons. I just don't like having a sore butt LOL.

You keep going and you'll be at your goal soon!

Okay..I have been away and had to check back on the cheerleader challenge...I see no one (including me) was brave enough to meet the challenge(lol):D ! GO WISHES!!!! A cheer for your 1 lbs weight loss!

hahaha I was waiting for your pics!

Nah ive been rather busy. I used to read a couple book a day - i barely get time for one a week now.
On the other hand I talked to 2 seperate guys today. One couldnt believe that i have a teenage son (I mentioned i was buying him a car today) and the other I couldnt believe was 61 years old! he didnt look a day over 40!

He had to be one of the hottest 61 year olds i know :p~~

Not that im into older men - im married to an awesome man who is like 4 years younger in fact! My ex-hubby was 18 years older than me - maybe i do have an older man fetish thing going *eww that sounds soo gross*

Alternativly I could just be going through midlife crises early :D

I'm the other way round! Younger man fetish ;)

I'm 37 next month and partner is 28

And Wishes.. ur doin great, keep up the good work :D

I was just looking at your ticker hun you have lost a ship load of weight, congratulations:cool: . I was having a bit of a read through your diary, thanks for the laughs:D .

Thanks for thal spelin :D

Ive had a niggle in the back of my throat all day yesterday and today. I think a cold is trying to take hold but ive been sucking on anti bacterial losnges etc to keep it at bay.
Im supposed to be starting my biking to work tomorrow. Hopefully I dont go getting sick :/
Had a bunch of cake and junk food at the in-laws place for a great aunties birthday thing (shes like 60 or something). I didnt go overboard and we had soup for dinner so i think im fine on the calories. Hopefully no weird surprises.

I did notice however that one of my kids is displaying behavior that normally nobody would pickup but because ive been eating healthy i see myself in it. She went back for 3 platefuls of crap food. So i sat her down and explained 'I think you've had enough' and explained why she had had enough and explained about bad habits

Good for you. I'm trying to do the same with my daughter, but she's only 4. I'm telling her why I'm exercising and eating healthier. I really don't want her developing a complex about her weight or appearance, so I only ever mention health, not appearance.

Yeah thats a good point. My kids have on several occasions asked how many calories things have and are all interested in it a lot. They are primarily worried that they will get fat because they hate seeing me being fat. I guess I never realized how much it meant to them until now. But i dont want them worrying about their food overly much right now so I have encouraged them to not worry about calories right now because they are young and need it to grow etc and give them a little explaination.
