I hope you're feeling better today :) :hug2:

I am, Ms. Britannica :p Nice weather here for a change so the walking is back on. It looks like we're having a decent run of nice days for a little while :) I staved off the wee hours this morning with carrots and celery. I ended up way under cals for yesterday.

For the life of me, I can never predict these damn diabetes blips. Maybe the rice did me ugly after all *shrugs*

So sorry to hear about that Randy. :hug2:

I'm fixin' ta head out to the mall to try and get my Steeler Champ shirt this time and then get my walkin' in there.

:waving:

Have A Great Night.

yegads thats not so great T2 (about the accidental extra sleep).
I hate insomnia - you are bored and wanna eat and shite, i get that a bit too.

Ms. Britannica! :D I LOVE IT :p

Starches aren't the best carbs for diabetics. There are far better choices for us pancreatically challenged individuals :D

Don't eat too many carbs -- do you know how many carbs are in two bowls of Special K? That's probably what made you feel like crap. Stop hurting yourself ;)

Kudos on priding yourself in epic Black and Gold apparel :)

Yeah, we have a faction of old coots that commandeer the mall halls with full walking gear. And make no mistake, you never want to to get in their way. they'll throw shoulders on ya. I swear they will. It's a rather personal public display of just who's in charge on the linoleum out there.

Personally, I could never make the drive out there just to walk in 70 degree hallways. My belief in the Icelandic preservation of skin tissue solely benefits from cold air.

The most dreaded scenario in weight loss. Only an open buffet could do more damage :(

ok, I did the math. I guess introducing something new here should have been better scoped out. It was a great buy and I impulsed off of that alone - and of course, those great ads for "lose 6 lbs in 2 weeks" (the hook).

My only preventive work was measuring a dry cup in the bowl just to eyeball it. Turns out 2 drys made a full bowl. So I had 4 cups total.

104g carbs :willy_nilly:

36g sugar.

Lesson learned. Gave both boxes to my neighbor.

btw, I went out for another hour of walking today :) Felt good.

i've been feeling shitty myself the past few days but fortunately didn't end up binging :) its raining so much that i forgot what the sun looks like. i did walking in the rain but apparently caught another cold.
how's your sex life hehe :D

We are expected to have 'spring-like' T-Storms Sunday -Tues.
(Possible Tornado outbreaks.)

Looks like I'll be stuck walkin' in the mall more..

Yeesh, Mother Nature hasn't been very kind to the U.S. of A. this winter just about everywhere :( But blessed are those who still find a way to get it done, anyway :)

Talk about Super Bowl hangover, I doubt the Pro Bowl will do much for me today like last Sunday did *sigh* No more football for six months *wah*

Oh then it would be like mine where you sound like you have an audience cheering you on clapping? All that loose skin flopping about! :D

bwahaha ... i kill me :/

That's not 'floppy skin', that's just a reminder of how awesome you are :) And how much more awesomer you're going to be in the future to make it go away :smash:

There isn't a day that goes by where I don't think about wishing mine was gone. I guess I have to get a little more awesomer - maybe even take it up to awesomest :p

And for those of you keeping score at home, I did a weigh-in this morning. Down 3 el bees. A mid-winter loss is a most beauty thing - maybe even the best of things :)

Poor JR. lead most of the dern race and then got wrecked at the damn end.
He would have been the 2nd person to win back to back..
1st one to do it was Tony Stewart.

I think you mixed up Awesome with 'Broke' mmm k?
If i was less broke then i would be more awesome, and then have no skin flaps.
My daughter puts it in a new light, she says im really really skinny! i have skin everywhere! nobody is as skinny as me! :)

LOL @ wishes! Awesome post ( I got no time to accumulate rep tonight ).

Congrats on the 3 pounds, Randy. That is a big deal at this stage. Onya!!! :D

If history repeats itself, the Truck race Friday will be the best of the weekend but anyway, yeah I'm glad racing season is starting. Something to watch in between hockey :) I don't care for basketball at all. I doubt I could name more than 5 pro boogieball players on a bet.

Daytona 500 used to be a big party day up here. I know when I was married we hosted several 500 parties. That won't be the case this year, tho.

I can relate. I'm still trying to get over my surgery funding not arriving. Really fucking upsetting. But yanno, looking back, I really got sloppy when I thought I was getting a shortcut on my weight loss. What a false blanket I threw over myself. Now here I am again grinding off lbs I so stupidly put back on thinking a mere flick of the knife was going to save me years of work...

oh well, onward and upward.

Congrats on the 3 pounds, Randy. That is a big deal at this stage. Onya!!! :D

Much thanks Kerry A :) It is a big deal re-losing by way of aggravation  I guess I'm blessed with the where-with-all to find my stride, again. So very few things in life are ever worth going back to in life. Weight loss is probably the only thing I'm willing to do that for.

I'm sorry for your country's loss of life in the fires. News clips did make its way to the States. Such a terrible thing to watch :( I reckon Australia doesn't have many natural disasters like we do up here.

*pulling hair* My trip to Florida is on 'wait and see' status. We were planning on leaving tomorrow but one of the partners of why we're going couldn't come up with his share of money for the new vendor trailer that's been ordered for us to bring back to Pa.

It was a combination trip; part vacation taking in some dirt races and chillin' in the Florida sunshine and part business getting things secured for the upcoming racing season. I have every intention of traveling again this year. I promise myself I'll have better results, too. I'm just going to have to get tougher with my choices out on the road.

My caseworker from OVR is putting me to the test, tho. I have an appt. on the 23rd to get in a school or be dropped. It goes without saying our Gov is shrinking program funding and my window is closing. I've been on this rollercoaster so many times and I'm still no closer to a decision.

oh well, it's too nice here today to sweat it. I got nothing but more walking on my mind. As usual, I do my best thinking while I'm walking. Time to look deep into my soul.

Hi Randy! Congrats on the 3 pound loss! I certainly could relate to what you said about your walks. Best thinking...yep. Mine is therapuetic. I can really do some serious soul searching and decision making while I am on a walk. I prefer walking solo for that very reason. I need that time alone for me.

Hope that you can come up with a career direction for you that feels good!

Have a great Monday!

Thank you, Beth :)

I would be a terrible walking companion for anybody. I'm a 'volume up', 'don't break my stride' walker. If I stop, I'm sick about it. I got the timer running, too. I think I wear it on my face strong enough that the regular walkers don't bother to slog my agenda - not that I intend to be a meanie, I just get in a zone and it's probably pretty visible. A nod or a wave is good enough for me.

All told, my way is totally therapy. I can't have it any other way :) I can appreciate your need for a slice of serenity with no one at your side. It's probably a rare event for you - and treasured, I'll bet.

I hope you have a splendid week, Beth :)

Florida is on. I'm pretty amped up, now :) I can't wait to get out of here for a week. Sunshine and chick flesh. Yum, yum, yum.

Thank you. The fires are a very big deal to everyone here. I guess the number of deaths doesn't seem so bad in relation to disasters elsewhere, but it is worse than we've had in any other fires or natural disasters, and people do take them to heart. The way some towns have been razed is a shock to see too.

I'm not sure about the relative amounts of natural disasters. I believe we hear more about American news than vice versa, but probably we don't hear everything. Also there are fewer people involved in the disasters that happen, because there are fewer people here. :) There are floods in Queensland right now.

I'm really pleased to hear that your trip is back on. Great news!

Randy, where you going to go in FLA?

Daytona area. Most of the nights will be spent at a dirt track. Daytime attractions won't be very touristy though I will be going to the World's Largest Oyster Bar and Bruce Rossmeyer's Harley-Davidson Shop (again, World's Largest') to gawk and walk plus get a T-shirt.

I doubt I'll come home with any lap dance stories but ya never know :p This trip does have a component of business to it, too.

The number of life lost is mind-numbing, Kerry. Rarely do we suffer any deaths in wildfires here. Property damage easily runs into the billions but the preparedness of our communication to evacuate is probably about the best in the world, I suppose.

I didn't really read or see all the details of how the casualties got so high from the fires down there. Truly sad whatever the reason.

I suspect your country may look into mandatory evacuation from here on out if in fact that's the reason for such a massive death toll.

Anyway, here's to hoping you lose a 'key' or two in my absence.

Cheery-o.
