T- It sounds like you are doing as wonderful as ever. My dad is a truck driver. He pulls Great Dane trailers to their destinations. He enjoys it very much. But he refuses to go into the city of Chicago and to NJ. You are awesome and very brave! You will succeed in whatever path you take. Following your heart is usually the best answer.

congrats randy :D you have accomplished so much. i can only imagine how you must feel. and you obviously enjoy driving trucks so i think its great you wanna follow your heart. if i ever come to your side of the world mind if i join you for a ride? :D:D

Hiya T2, just wondering how you're doing, and just stopping by to say hello! :)

Have a good Memorial Day Weekend!

Thank you forum daughter :) Sorry your ol' forum dad couldn't make the trip this year :(

I hope you get to have a good time over the holiday.

That is incredible news, T2!! I'm so proud of you for following your heart. The only way to find happiness in your job to do what you love. So many people are not so lucky. And I'll have to agree with the others, 47 is not old. As good of care as you are taking with your health now, you'll have another 40+ years to re-evaluate any decisions you want, if you ever want to. In my eyes you will always be a success just for starting the journey rather then the finishing of it.

Have a lovely weekend.

Thank you Mana and I hope you have a splendid long weekend as well.

I'm sorry about misleading everyone about 47 'being old'. I thought I worded it in a manner where becoming an earner was more important than extending the sufferage of my paltry social security income. I believe if I was younger, the decision to prolong my present situation would lean towards 'roll the dice and see if you can pull this off'.

Three years below the poverty level has been enough for me, time to change that me thinks ;)

Happy Saturday Randy! :hug2:

Ooooh well thank you Dari :) and back at ya !!

Thanks for the heart following nod Heidi. Your dad has a great gig. That's a highly prized job in the industry - there's a lot to like doing that type of haul.

I would like to think I'll succeed the same way I've done with the last 15 months of my life. Being a realist, I'm prepared to accept this might not be totally wise or it just might work out fine-n-dandy this time around.

I just have to try, this is all I can do.

hehe, I'd love to take everyone for a lap around America !! Thank you for the congrats Lena !!

Mmmm. Feeling very mellow after visiting your new location. Thank you for that thought.

Google showed me this too, something I haven't seen before:

I hope you have heaps of fun on your Sunday. :)

I liked your link Kerry, no deviation from the purist form of classical. In my link someone mildly protest this 'progressive' spin of T & F Dm.

Sunday was bomb city :D I drank from 8am to 1 am - not power drinking though. I did get sunburnt *ouchers !!* The races were awesome and the all day -n- night party was even better. I passed on tons of excellent BBQ stuff and stayed with my wheat and chicken sandwiches and radishes/carrots and popcorn. I got at least 10 offers to mangia with my many racing friends. Once again my new(er) body was all the talk to many not to mention a few didn't even recognize me. What a great feeling !! Worth the hangover ;)

Below the poverty level? Ooh, ouch! THREE YEARS! Well, you're rich in spirit and love, Randy. We all appreciate that! When you go back to trucking will you be around here much?

It carries some pain Val, sure, it would anyone who was used to making 50k. It also served as a powerful incentive to A.) lose weight to get healthy and be a working stiff and B.) learn how to take care of $$$.

This certainly isn't one of those "If I had to do it all over again" moments, no I wouldn't want to but since it was in face, I shoved it back just as hard.

hmmm, well I can't answer that question straight-away. I guess a lot depends on what job I take and even so, I feel like I'm coming to the tail end of my WLF carrier largely. It's been a good ride and all and I'd like to think I could keep coming here and helping people but I find myself on here less and less lately.

Congratulations, Randy.

Well thank you stranger ;)

When your head and your heart are in the same place, it's a good thing!!

Words of wisdom !! I wrote this down on paper and put it on my fridge. The next month or so will need this type of wisdom in me. The job selection process will be a difficult one. I will need to chose with my heart and head exclusively.

Thank you beckster :)

Glad you had so much fun while still passing on excessive goodies, good for you! I'm proud! :beerchug:

Well, we'd miss you! but if you had a laptop to take in your truck.....:rotflmao:

I liked your link. I reckon Bach would have added an electric guitar for sure if he had had electricity. :)

Spring sunburn is way too easy to get. I used to get very frustrated with myself about the stripes it left behind in my summer tan, but not enough to stop myself getting them again the next spring, by which time I would somehow have forgotten. So am I over it yet? Nope. Just over caring about the stripes. I hope yours wasn't too bad, and that the sting is gone now. :)

Hey.. I've seen you around the forum raising cane everywhere and just wanted to commend you for that! LOL Actually, just stopping by to say hello and introduce myself.. Bethann1156 is my better half! My name is Bruce.. I'm all done with my weight loss.. lost a total of 30 pounds or so and now in a maintaining phase and lifting weights to build up a little. Always in fat burning mode though!

Anyways.. just wanted to say hey!

Later!

Bruce

I'm in my comfort zone with passing on big foods, the real trick (or test I should say) is will this be a lifetime deal for me ?? I think it will be. Don't get me wrong, there will be times where I'll enjoy some things but stone-cold munchin' all day on bad shit are over. I'm not a fucking Gawd after all but I am a pretty convicted life-changer. I'm taking this to my grave. Screw being fat.

I <3 how you make me rant *glows*

I breath dirt racing !! Dirt in the beer always goes down smoothly ;)

Good evening!

Since you and Star dumped me, I rebelled *wink* I got druckin' funked View attachment 3584

hehe, I tend to talk shit in here - yep yep yep. I'm harmless.

Good to meet you Almighty Bruce *handshake*

I'll probably never be 'done' with my weight loss but I sure hope I get to a point similar to where you're at. Congrats on snaggin' Beth, you're a lucky man ;) She's aces in my book.

It's great to meet you as well! Once we move to Tennessee, we'll be closer to alot of people on here.. maybe throw down a huge BBQ for everyone!! Best of luck in your continued success! Glad to give you any advise or support you might need!

Later Man!

I just haven't been gettiing enough of you lately. It's terribly sad. I'm sure you feel a little empty inside without me around too. I know how it is... So you don't have to try to act all tough and shit. Poor Randy.
I'm glad you enjoyed a nice, inebriated weekend.
