Sheesh, everyone's mowing lawns...I'm starting to feel like a real sloth over here. Wish I cared. lol sigh. Yard work just ain't my thang.

I'm thinking Mishi for the other girl in my avatar to make Abba. LOL that was funny.

BTW.....I only appear to be refined...hahaha...you can take the girl outta the country, but you can't take the country outta the girl! ;)

I'm sure you hid this info from the State of Cali. They have strict laws about 'hicks' moving in there. I know this :p

See, timing is everything. Debi just got signed onto another band last week. I know this was your first choice, right ?? *shake your head up and down please*

I'd be interested in driving the tour bus btw...

aww thats a shame. i like saying it. its a lovely word to use when you are in a situation where you cant swear. i also like "sugar" because its handy when im at work (at a school) and i do something wrong and my first instincts are to say the first part of summat else.

cool then, a harmless word kinda. I didn't know how to answer that at first. It's hard keeping up with USA lingo let alone UK stuffs then there's pc lingo too. I'm just not very hip sometimes :( Aging blows and leaves me with no chance of being a Minister of Culture.

Hey there you :)
I've been prettty slack on diaries lately - but busy and MOVING!

I want to thank you for the one conversation about getting back to what worked - I'm taking my south route every day now and getting more miles in. It feels GOOD :D

I haven't read back in your diary - how's the biking going?

Hey Rands, I feel you on Kansas--devastation!!

Thumbs up on the bike riding! And I am the same way, now. I ALWAYS have to keep busy. I have AMAZING energy. Let's see, last Friday I rode my bike all over Santa Cruz searching for a cheap glass bong for my step dad's b-day (found a nice big one at Cigarettes Cheaper for $30) and then I went running for 42 minutes afterward. I wasn't done yet! I also did 2 loads of laundry. Too bad my BF isn't as energectic. Sigh.

My stepdad loved his present, but I didn't use it as I went straight-edge for that week for my race.

I enjoyed your diary entry of yesterday Randy, #4655. Have a good day my friend.

i'll do my best to keep you informed with "hip" lingo

This is the best post I've had in a long time :) I'm nothing but thrilled you're moving (in more ways than one) again. Here's to the good times ahead of us on the way to the finish line.

I completely believe in you Debi. You've done so good so far doing what you do, I don't doubt you'll finish your task the same way you started it - and equally as passionately.

I was smuggled in as a child... ;)

I'll bet you were branded in some gawd-forbidden area too risky to mention on a message board :p

Well hello our future Herculean chick :) As they say, 'it's the thought than counts' (depending on what you're thinkin' I suppose).

The bike deal is going ok. It really is getting easier and the 'wobblies' are kinda diminishing. I'm digging the rides bunches, I'm probably about ready to step it up to a daily thing now instead of every other day.

Keep rockin' your badass cowgirl self Star !!

Someone asked me last night why I don't post my food and exercise. Fair question.

I thought about this on my walk this morning and I came to the deduction that it's boring. My diet would be boring to others as well as my 'exercise'. It is consistent though, in fact so consistent the results are still a very real part of my life.

I wasn't kidding when I had in my location "I don't give advice" but that may not be 100% true at least I don't intend to 'give' advice. I may at times say things readers may take under advisement for their own personal benefit but I never mean to tell anyone what to do.

I do what works for me. I couldn't possibly know what works for you. I do know mimicking someone else's style and menu day to day will never work, I couldn't do it and I have no intention of doing it.

But if I did, it would be this helpful menu.

I know I took the 'warrior' approach to all this weight loss when I got here and I also know it seemed a bit assholeish to some and considering the large percentage here are female I can see where being a 'warrior' isn't going to translate well. I still to this day will stand by 'tomorrow's another day' is a defeatus attitude. We all screw up, tis' true but the screw ups should never be based on 'I'm waiting till tomorrow' to fix it. If you'll settle for too many tomorrows, you'll never achieve your goals.

Meet WLF's latest 'warrior' if you haven't already.

This guy rocks. Though in several ways we don't compare but I love this guys' attitude. He reminds me of me in some ways. His 'I had enough of being obese' is awesome. No matter what he writes about measured amounts of foods and exercise you'll never do it the same way he did - nor as I did but I hope Ironman inspires a good many of you to suck up the softness that keeps you from losing weight.

I've sat here for closing in on a year now and sadly I've seen a few people jump around from 'program to program' with the same weight (+/- a few pounds). These people are failing to replace their desperation with determination. It's that simple. I've seen the 'warrior' types totally kick their own asses and they are by far the 'biggest losers' on here.

Don't use WLF to get caught up in 'oh he does this and eats that and that's just all wrong' or 'she has no clue wtf she's doing' and all the other politics and window shopping on here. Challenge yourself - use WLF for inspiration and education. There's plenty of both to go around here. I don't want you to be a 'warrior', I want you to find what works for you personally. I don't want you to follow my menu or exercise, I want you to see my dedication and determination. Make it your own lifestyle and you too will be successful - and yes, that is advice.

Hey Randy!

Wow, Great post!!!

When I started my diary, I was posting my diet everyday...but it got boring for me....so, now I just hit the high points from day to day...I keep a meticulous record each day for my use and keep a desk calendar with all of my pertinent info...but I am happy to share the details if anyone wants to know. It just got to be too repetitious for me to re-write everything everyday.

I like your attitude -- you have to find what works for you -- but there is no easy way to do it...it's hard! It is a simple concept....calories in, calories out. There is no magic formula or secret.

For me, its visualization of myself as thinner, stronger, and healthy. I envision that when I am working out. It helps motivate me.

Beth

:) You really kick butt on here!! You were one of the first diaries I red on here and you'll always be my inspiration! Because you have the determination to suceed!

Same here Beth. I'm not sure I told this segment of my journey in my diary but your very statement held true for me as I literally had to lift my own lower abdomen up off of my upper thighs in the early stages of my walks. The sores and sweat burns were painful, I literally had to stuff paper towels in the seams of my legs and apply massive amounts Palmer's cocoa butter ointment to keep my visions progressing.

Again, I state one must be willing to face their individual toughness - all unique unto itself but responding is critical. Thanks for sharing the power of visions. I suppose those who can't see themselves thinner probably never will be thinner. The imagery is always worth striving for creating that what seems elusive reality IMO. I'm glad I stuck it out and never lost sight of my dreams/visions.

Hey T2...Just wanted to say Hi and congrats on the cycling.I love to ride too and I started back this week! Then I wrecked the chopper again...I think my hubby is revoking my riding privledges. So Not Fair...But I dont think I am restricted from the cycle yet...
