Someone asked me last night why I don't post my food and exercise. Fair question.
I thought about this on my walk this morning and I came to the deduction that it's boring. My diet would be boring to others as well as my 'exercise'. It is consistent though, in fact so consistent the results are still a very real part of my life.
I wasn't kidding when I had in my location "I don't give advice" but that may not be 100% true at least I don't intend to 'give' advice. I may at times say things readers may take under advisement for their own personal benefit but I never mean to tell anyone what to do.
I do what works for me. I couldn't possibly know what works for you. I do know mimicking someone else's style and menu day to day will never work, I couldn't do it and I have no intention of doing it.
But if I did, it would be this helpful menu.
I know I took the 'warrior' approach to all this weight loss when I got here and I also know it seemed a bit assholeish to some and considering the large percentage here are female I can see where being a 'warrior' isn't going to translate well. I still to this day will stand by 'tomorrow's another day' is a defeatus attitude. We all screw up, tis' true but the screw ups should never be based on 'I'm waiting till tomorrow' to fix it. If you'll settle for too many tomorrows, you'll never achieve your goals.
Meet WLF's latest 'warrior' if you haven't already.
This guy rocks. Though in several ways we don't compare but I love this guys' attitude. He reminds me of me in some ways. His 'I had enough of being obese' is awesome. No matter what he writes about measured amounts of foods and exercise you'll never do it the same way he did - nor as I did but I hope Ironman inspires a good many of you to suck up the softness that keeps you from losing weight.
I've sat here for closing in on a year now and sadly I've seen a few people jump around from 'program to program' with the same weight (+/- a few pounds). These people are failing to replace their desperation with determination. It's that simple. I've seen the 'warrior' types totally kick their own asses and they are by far the 'biggest losers' on here.
Don't use WLF to get caught up in 'oh he does this and eats that and that's just all wrong' or 'she has no clue wtf she's doing' and all the other politics and window shopping on here. Challenge yourself - use WLF for inspiration and education. There's plenty of both to go around here. I don't want you to be a 'warrior', I want you to find what works for you personally. I don't want you to follow my menu or exercise, I want you to see my dedication and determination. Make it your own lifestyle and you too will be successful - and yes, that is
advice.
