I'm with M2M, it's just too cold! But then, I'm a weather weenie. I hate the cold. I'm gonna start moving in with Wishes for the months it gets too cold here. I think it was 50 here today - and I'm freezing!

Actually - yes! The problem is when the nose starts to run faster then I am ;) And did you REALLY mean to put that (-) negative in front of the 20? and Celcius??? I don't know how you do it girl, I'd never get out of my flanels and out from under the down comforter!

Me too. If only someone else would put it together and keep it in the fridge for me.... I am SO lazy.

Thanks for posting the fruit salad recipe Randy. It's great to get reminders for those easy to put together foods. Somehow we forget about those.

Great pics BTW. And great words of wisdom re your journey in your diary the other day.

Yes, I meant the negative. :D But as much as I like to tease you Debi, I'm a weather wimp the other way....I can't take the heat at all. :rolleyes:

Sometimes I don't much care for my pics but I feel committed to showing a few readers that it's possible to get somewhere near normal again. I just keep believing in myself - it seems to work.

I'm thinking about going out right now. I'll be damned if I can't take a day off. It's 72 inside here with a bike waiting for me yet I'm opting for 15 degrees outside.

It goes DQ. I tossed out some snacky stuff last night. I'm finding winter time isn't the best time to make (somewhat) bad choices at the grocery store. I've just been making too many trips to the cupboard. I'm too close to get sloppy now.

So true about forgetting. Like I mentioned above, getting sidetracked is pretty easy to do - even for me.

You're lazy ?? ha !! I wish I had the bounce in my step you have. Reading your challenges makes me feel older faster *pants*

I've been pretty low content on 'wisdom' lately, I think winter is taking its toll now. I'm even annoyed with being on the pc a lot so I've been shutting it off bunches more.

It felt good to go out Friday night/Saturday morning - just what the doctor ordered.

How did I just KNOW you were going to run with that?

So, yes, I'm not crazy when it gets too hot. My corner of the world tends to get 10-15 degrees hotter then the rest of the county I live in, so during that time. I'm at the beach. Life COULD be worse ;)
 
:) man you all are like it's too hot! here it's coooolllldddd! It's snowing...don't get me wrong I love snow...but I would give anything for it to be summer so that I can go swimming and ride a bike..and finally go on that walk...currently it is: 28F and the wind chill is: 19 F brrr i say brrrr....lol:)

I wish i was with M2M in her CA weather, i would go swimming...have you ever swam in a mountian lake??? Its never warm.....although i hear the ocean is cold too!:confused:

Oh, I have to tell you - those kids looked FREEZING today - shivering uncontrolably! And yes, the ocean gets cold (at least our ocean!)

Seeing how we're neighbors, I can relate to the cold walks. Yesterday was the first day I took off intentionally in a long time. Winter finally acted like winter so that was a good reason to give it up for one day.

Yeah I think the majority of us wish we were SoCal peeps a few months out of the year. The last trip I made out there I still think it's rough living in highly populated areas - I guess I'm a country boy at heart and I wouldn't trade it for all the beachfronts on 101. Something like "there's no place like home" comes to mind (without clicking my heels 3 times) :)

I hope Megan is feeling better. I got my full-blown cold this morning and no rest for the weary, I just got back from shoveling the sidewalk and warming up the car, I got a ton of stuff to do today :(

Now I know why I was fighting massive food battles all weekend, my body wanted some ammo to fight with it and I didn't disobey it.

And then I was scared to ask cause I thought "That's a dumb question, that's gotta be out of an advert, like those scary swim costumes in the link a few pages back." Then I thought, "No, they think it's Trucker." "No, look it's so nicely lit - it's a professional shot." LOL. I even looked all the way through your before and after thread.

I knew you had done great things but I didn't know that they had paid off to that extent!
