This Trucker Fights Back

Feel better soon. I've been fighting a cough all weekend. I'm not sure where it came from. My best guess, this crappy Pgh weather the past few weeks. Rain rain rain, and now snow snow snow! Even the dogs refuse to go out! Hope you have the 24-hour cold only!

Ya I wouldn't want to go out there and walk either!:) Have a good day!

Let's make it 2 days in a row. I'm not up for it today. Don't be surprised, after all I'm human too.

OMG. Great photo. Great belly.

The 80x80 limit was kind to me and viewing public otherwise I probably wouldn't have posted it. I do carry a bit of pride about the accomplishment-to-date though. 2007 will definitely be the year of refinement if it's at all possible to do much with a body this old *shrugs*

I'll never achieve a 'perfect' body nor am I foolish enough to think it's possible but I will trudge on to fix what I can. It's kinda fun doing this, the challenge builds a lot of character.

Sorry you're sick. Take care. I hope it goes soon. :)

Much thanks.

heya Trucker, hope you're feeling better :)

Thank you Wishy. Put up the brown hair pic !! that was awesome.

Good Morning Randy,
I hope your day goes better for you!

I'm pretty whipped but got everything done that needed done. I'm sprawled out on the couch typing this and not feeling like getting up till sunrise. I think I'll just lay here for a week.

Just dropping in to say Hello!!:)

Hi Mechelle, hope you and your family had a nice weekend. Sorry I haven't made any diary rounds yet to see how things are going with you and all.

I'm glad you posted your pics :)

Well it sounds like I can't contaminate you then :p I hate to say it but I can't ever recall a trip to P-burgh where I said to myself "I wanna live down here"

My cousin lives in Baldwin Hills (and has for about ever) and I swear I can't figure out how he puts up with living in Pittsburgh but his annual summer party is pretty happenin'. I just love his taste in beer - Yuengling ONLY !! I've had more truck driving nightmares in that city than I care to remember too.

Hiya T! Hope youre feeling better!! :D

Hi Amy :) Got any home remedies to lay on me ?? Thanks for the well wish.

Boo!

Hi, hope you're feeling better. I've gotten over two nasty colds this winter and I hope I've filled my quota for the season! :p
BTW, yeah, I'll second the others, you look totally fantastic in your pic.
I'll be starting up a new diary here in a few days. I think I'll title it Mana's Diner (just in tribute to you) LOL.

Resident expert.... What does one do when stress gets bad one pigs out like a freaking dog off of one of those ASPCA tv rescue shows??? AGH!

Oh, btw, I hope you are feeling better :)

Take as a cheat meal and get back on the program tomorrow. You might a mazed it may end up giving you better results later. You just shocked you system.

For me it has. I have lost 60 pounds in ~8 months. I eat clean 6 days a week and @ my house we have a cheat day. It has worked for me. So right now since it hasn't broke we ain't fixen it.

So shocking our system gives us better results how ??

I am learning how everything works here.

I missed the last part of you question. Your body over time adjustes to what you eat and the cal. so instead of me decreasing my cal. intake I have a cheat day. I also work out.

I cut and pasted your question but I don't know if that is how y'all do it. I am not very computer savy

Thank you Heidi :) I guess it comes down to if the stress made you eat or the eating or lack of eating is making you stress out.

I always assumed 'cheat' days where a planned event so I would blow off that notion and narrow it down to what triggered it. I personally tell myself no matter what caused what, I can't do it again tomorrow or the next day and so forth.

Bottom line is what's done is done. The mind has to be our strongest component always. No one on here can find a cure for those weak moments, only our own mind can.

You're not alone on this winter weakening, it's much harder than I anticipated. Good healthy frequent snacks are bringing me back on track.

Yep, you plan it. This isn't an emotional eating situation. Our friend Heidi is looking for answers to a situation that isn't a calorie cycling event.

Congrats on losing 60 lbs in 8 months.

Danke Fenster, I swear I was gonna snooze but I'm thinking about riding the stationary. 2 days off is more guilt then I can handle.

Hope all is well up north bro

That-a-boy, get on that bike. Actually I am taking tonight off myself, first one in a while. Everything is good here.

I understand but it sounded like something on the animal planet may have set her off and might have been a one time thing. I was trying to give her hope and let her know we all make mistakes and to get back on the banwagon.

I am new here and learning everyone. I have read lots of posts and man y'all have done FANTASTIC:) Look forward to getting to know everyone

Thanks T...I trust your advise.

I just realized tonight that I definately eat because of stress (work and life related) and bordem. It is nice and encouraging hearing the words, what is done is done. It kinda gives me closure to my bad day. It is so easy to revert back to the old habits. It is scary.

I like to think things out and find solutions. So, to ensure that days like this dont happen again, I will need to find another outlet. Reading maybe, cleaning, work, exercising...that is always a good one! Maybe if stress causes me to want to eat, instead grab an apple. Maybe I knew this answer on my own, but sounds so much better coming from someone else. Thanks for the help!

Also, thanks live4fitness... I think if I gave myself a cheat day, that I would cheat after the cheat day because I wouldnt be able to stop. I think since I blew it Sunday, I told myself that I could blow it today too. Then one thing piled up after another, and I gave in and had an extremely bad food day. I am talking fried fish, fried potatoes, fried chicken, gumbo, ding dong... very bad day. And I know better! My worst fear, gaining it all back.
