As for the movie, well understandably Peter Jackson couldn't put every single scene in the movies but I will NEVER live to see a movie as accurately directed as those 3 !! Simply the best movie(s) ever !! I knew as soon as they walked across the Shire and did Bilbo's Birthday Party that this was going to be a very special movie.

Wow... that's like what happened to me. Though, I saw the first movie before I read the books. My dad had read them over and over, and when the movie came out, he took the entire family, and sadly, I didn't want to go... but he made me....

and I fell in love with the story. So when we got home, I pretty much made my dad lend me his old copies, and I read them all in a week. (I'm a fast reader) I read them over and over, until he finally bought me my own set. Now I read them at least once a year. And the movies? Masterpieces. :D

OMG - you are SO right!
LOTR series was absolutely the best! I was 12 when I got absorbed in the series - my all time favorite books as a kid. The movies were phenomenal!

Speaking of which, did you ever see the the Jack Black spoof?

And i *hate* british comedy also! (as well as most things english .. which is funny considering im half english)

I like action movies, and more action, and mind fuck movies (like time travel where you gotta think outside the block kind of to understand it). and more action movies (preferably with a dominant chick), oh and SOME computery ones .. but most i just sit there laughing because i know you cant do particular things (and thats the problem when you're in the IT industry!)

I loved the Matrix, but the sequals just were not on par with the first one.

Oh yeah and i cant say i get into porn ... but i do know this one dude who has 50gb i had to backup once ....

Not so much. Coming out of the Percodan zen from the weekend and dealing with reality. Today has been a mental ass-kicker. A visit to the forum was just what I needed. *serious hands up in the air*
