A thinking outloud post:
I cleaned the bathroom today out of sheer boredom, not that it ever gets real funky.
The weather is a P.O.S. here today, intensely scanning the weather channel for a window of op. to get a walk in. I've been eyeing up a day to take a break and everyday I say 'this is the day', I go walking anyway. I don't mind.
My current state of eating has been pretty lean this week, probably taking in minimum amounts for no other reason than a couple dental days (lost appetite) haven't really been craving anything outside of my 'usual' and I've had a lot on my mind of late. Through out it all, I never let any portion of my original goals get sidetracked.
I think it's time for 2000 cal day, I believe these days every once in awhile do replenish you with a lil something to work off of *shrugs* seems to work IMO.
My current state of body is pretty rewarding right now. It's been awhile since we've joked about my 'front butt' here in the diary but since it's the last part to go away (which is frustrating) I've come to grips it's shrinking proportionately - I guess the largest part of your body should be the last to get rid of, like it or not.
BMI update:
started: 51.7
current: 33.7
not bad eh... hehe, image hitting the 'overweight' category in 2007 and being totally thrilled with it. Well it is a step down from morbidly obese (some BMI calc's are honest enough to use that term).
Looking ahead to next week, I have to challenge myself to overcome finding a part time job. The 2 year gap in employment and then having to explaining it sucks. As soon as you mention the word 'disabled' followed up by "I was a trucker the last 15 years..." is pure interview death. If you close the door after an interview and press your ear up against the door, you can hear the app. hitting the trashcan.
As always with my life, onward and upward - it's just a matter of time before I snag a PT job. Maybe lowering my standards a bit ?? after all, I'm not in the position to 'demand' much.

Goood Mornin' Toots! My appologies for the incoherentness last night..lol Congrats on the new BMI - that's great! I like 'Morbidly Obese' much better that a scale that doesn't go high enough to measure you. Kind of like they couldn't fine a nice word so they just gave up.
Good luck finding a pt job. I have the same trouble. I was told that you don't have to explain the gap beyond 'taking some personal time' because it falls under the disabilities act. But I feel like I should be honest upfront - probably why I havn't found a jobby..lol

No troubles bubbles, sometimes those fonts take on a life of their own no matter what order we try to put them in.
After 3 hours of voice chat and after you poofed, I had a 2 hour phone convo till about 4am. I was pretty easy to misinterpret too.
About 5 minutes after I wrote my post, I get a call from a placement worker from OVR and he set up an appointment for Tuesday. And yes, he did briefly mention there will be coaching rules on pretty much what you said - knowing how to manipulate the tricky questions concerning the Disability Acts.

Well they do reward you with happy pills there so I don't see a downside visiting those places - the board games can be a lil annoying tho. I doubt if you're a 'charter member' *chuckles* you're aight Peq

well, you know if you take a pt job (even one below your skillset) they will love you and promote you and give you more work, and maybe even give you more pay , so eventually (hopefully) you will be in a decent position.
lately i've thought of getting any old job, knowing they'd like me and promote me or give me raises quickly enough. sometimes it's just getting the foot in the door and being willing to work from the ground up.

Sadly, the Return to Work Program limits your earnings potential. They really have it geared towards 'cigarette money' earnings instead of self-sufficiency. Depending on the hourly rate of wages, it would be hard to work more than 20 hours a week without a paying severe financial penalty.
It's really tricky business maximizing earnings and not advancing in a field where you're going to make less by going full-time. The incentive is just all wrong.
