So it's just a matter of avoiding the perils associated with this sport. I'm getting a visual but it's still a lil wobbly ;)

Well, being a lil wobbly is the first thing you need to master.
I haven't figured out how to avoid the perils.

Well time to type out something positive since my Penn State Nittany Lions are getting their asses handed to them by the Fighting Irish.

I just wanted to share my personal NSV (non-scale victory) :)

Each and every Saturday I get fast food coupons from most of the national chains. At one point I counted on them and definitely used them, then I started 'saving' them for my daughter. Now I just file them in the waste recepticle - and will continue to do so.

I'm sorry but I just can't eat that shit any more and don't even tempt me with a S.A.S.E. - please.

I love a good NSV:D We went to McDonald's today for lunch, I was starving, so I choked down the healthiest choice (besides a salad) I could find. It still left an aftertaste. Blah.

Nice article T2. I enjoyed reading it. Very true, it can be very expensive to be healthy.

And... your bike is your friend, love it, talk to it, enjoy your time with it. I think you should name your bike to develop a positive relationship with it. Hehe.

WL is fairly liberal with such names being posted on here - I better not push my luck. View attachment 1478

I must be one of the lucky ones, I've found eating healthier has put a couple more dollars in pocket every week, but then I would get the the family package from KFC or Pizza Hut too, we're talking 16 to 22 dollars for one day of eats. You don't get to my former size without abusing your wallet :( I probably went from $120.00 a week to half or less a week now.

I liked that article because it's just flat-out true. We really need to be aware of what we do if a lifestyle change is in our future. Personally, I've been dropping the word 'bad' and replacing it with 'stupid' in re: menu choices and the wrong side of it.

The thing that scares me about that article you posted T2 is I can see the rich conservitives using the fact that low income america is getting fat as an excuse to suspend govt programs that subsidize breakfast and lunch at public schools for low income kids. I know many families who wouldn't get food period if it wern't for those programs.

Thats a pretty 'holy cow' article i suppose, but i mean seriously - who the heck cant see that anyway? I mean (to me anyway) its not 'News' at all, but it is a good kick in the butt stateing the obvious.
I walk around the mall seeing fat people and i just wanna go up to them and say 'FOR F**KS SAKE YOU ARE KILLING YOURSELF!', on then i remember i too am fat (even i i am on the road to freedom).

Its almost like i woke up and realized i was killing myself and worse yet, teaching my kids to do the same!
Ive decided i want to become a personal trainer specializing in weight loss, but i refuse to do anything until i get down past my goal weight (as a point of motivation for my weight loss as well as because i personally wouldnt use an overweight personal trainer).

Obesity is a gov't cash cow (no pun intended) but I try to avoid politics on forums at all cost. I'm as much of a "We the People" person as you'll ever find, our policymakers, not so much.

LOL! Me too - especially non political forums!

I'm as much of a "We the People" person as you'll ever find, our policymakers, not so much.

Same here, and no, they're not.
The original framers of "We The People" would be rolling in their graves.

That said - T2 - you had to go and get me thinking about pizza yesterday ;p

I stopped in at Pizza Hut...and got ice cream.
So I had both and was still under my calories for the day. The power of suggestion is way too strong in me!

I'll take the heat this time...

....but after we get this XM contract settled, you're on your own :p

obtw, I showed you my black belt on my B&D thread :)
