The problem with that is it's hard to stay up as late once you start getting older

I'm pretty upside down with my sleep, especially in the winter. 5-6am bedtime is fairly common. It's really been that way for a very long time. I think it stems back to childhood when we use to sleep out and we always roamed and raised hell.
There has always been something in me about life at night that agrees with me. It came in handy as a trucker, too, obviously. I've tried flipping my sleep too many times to even bother anymore. It just won't work

I hear ya Randy, 50 was a tough number for me. It sure sounded older than I felt or feel, most days. But for awhile I felt branded by the "5-0" in a way. It took me a time to shake it. But now at 52, I'm cool with it.
Hope you can get out for some walks and your knee continues to get better!

Knee is pretty ok. The purple/yellow stage is underway. The pain, not so much. I be'a treadin' probably Saturday, perhaps. I been staying busy today with menial task and such. I'm desperately trying not to fall behind. My general clothing appearance is still loose so I'm ok, I think.
We have a deep freeze on coming up so I'll have to be on ultra-discipline for awhile. My choices at the store this morning were pretty solid. Time to hide the car keys for 4-5 days.
If I see one more Panorama commercial, I'm gonna lose my will to live or order one - in no particular order. *TV off - iTunes on.*

Hang in there...Saturday will be here soon...too bad ya don't have a kettlebell...doing several sets of swings will give ya a cardio workout and you won't have to engage your knee at all...great for the days you are snowed in or iced in as it may be...

Oh, I'm old. Over 50 now. I can't bring myself to actually come to terms with the fact I'm over 50. The mind is still sitting somewhere between 16 and 25 ... stupid adolescent humor gets me every time
I do not have fuzzy slippers, mostly because I don't actually wear slippers. I like socks. Although I've thought about buying those humungous eeyore slippers simply because I think they'd look ridiculous on me
