There was an odd start to this. I got distracted online and suddenly realized I was running out of time to fit a pool visit in before getting the kids from school.
I had been convinced I was going though, and I had forgotten that the pool at Craigie closes later than I thought so I felt like this was the only chance I'd have. Maybe it's lucky that I did forget, because yesterday I figured, that them closing late meant I could go later in the day, and all it turned out to mean, was that I ended up not going at all, because they do still close eventually!! (Bonus however, was that I found out I'm capable of walking longer I guess.

).
So anyway today I'm like, “I am not missing out on this!!” and I threw on my swimming gear and raced out the door and had started driving already when I thought what a shame that of the limited time I had, so much would be spent driving, and I remembered another woman told me yesterday that the new pool at Balga had already opened. And I figured it was probably closer. Turned out it is much closer. But not rebuilt yet. So now I
really didn't have enough time to make it worth driving to Craigie, but I was already driving, with my bathers on.... And I was thinking how there was another pool really, really close by in a private health club, and maybe they would let me in there. I didn't want to walk in in my bathers and have them say no, but I figured they would have a phone number on the outside of the building. Even better they had a big sign up saying “Casual visitors welcome”. So in I went ... only paying 3 times what I would have at Craigie.

Well it was nice though, so empty compared with the other place, so calm. Only 4-5 old people walking up and down. And at $15 as a casual, I won't be doing that again!! But it reminded me that there is another public swimming pool closer to home that would be a good choice if I'm on my own in the daytime. Also it reminded me that when we are over the post holiday financial hurdle, as a club to belong to, that place would be really, really close, and it's got a swimming pool!! Raving on I know, but I'm just happy I think. It's a good thing when awkwardness stimulates me to realize what the breadth of my options are, there's a safety net in that. I know that getting going again is partly an opportunity thing – much more sunlight now, and also, less hours at work, but also it's about strength of motivation. I'm just glad to know that I do feel more motivated than I was, because it makes things happen that otherwise would not have.
7:15 40 minutes walking the dog in the bush at Warwick. (and my knee was so good that I forgot about it!!!!!!!!!!!! Yay!!!!
