there is a need for a stickie

that says, aching the next day doesnt mean you have had a good workout,or not aching doesnt mean you have had a bad workout:sleeping:
every time a :newbie: comes on here he seems to ask this all the time ie i need to change my workout because i wasnt aching today:rolleyes:.

Good point. A stickie with a list of wkout myths wouldn't be a bad idea. No additional posts, just a clean, easy to read, list.

There was a thread for that once, the problem is that there are so many different ideas out there about what's right and wrong it ended up being a big arguement

High reps to "tone", a lot of people seem to think that's the best way to lose fat or whatever, when really they should be doing the opposite, or at least a mix.

There are people who claim that in order to grow you have to constantly do different exercises and hit the muscle from different angles and force it to do something it isn't expecting.

There are plenty of old school lifters who have done the same classic lifts for decades and still grow

Fair enough, I'm still a fan of the occasional drastic shift in rep range to shock the muscles though and I consider myself a fairly old school lifter :)

Are you too young to remember this tool?

How about this one...

"I'm too old to get in shape" or

If you're predisposed to get fat there's nothing you can do about it

LOL. I remember those commercials. He used to be quite the body builder (if you look up his bio), until he got into an accident. I never liked this contraption in the first place, though. This isnt to say this couldnt be beneficial with correct diet principles applied. It can be. Of course the main purpose and motive was to make some money on this contraption, I believe than the motive of fitness, IMO.

Best wishes to ALL!

ROCK ON with all of your personal goals!

The "myths to actual benefits to fat loss pills" or "the Hype associated with other over the counter pills (like creatine, NOS, etc) versus the actual benefits to the average person in the gym".

These thread topics occur alot from time to time on the forum.

My main issue with stickies is just ensuring they are "clean" and only contain the purpose and reason for the stickie in the first place with no other post being allowed, unless approved in advance by a mod. It will keep the most important topics easy to locate and instead among the posts of clutter. It will be more professionally presented, IMO.

If one has a comment, make a thread or PM a mod or the person who assisted in the stickie.

Not all the stickies were locked at one time or another---as some had some "unnecessary" posts at one time.

This was rather obvious the past few months (LOL). There are several examples:

EDIT: Posts that were made stickies by Karky, TM, and myself (which are NOT locked, with the exception of (the squat and dead lift chart), the others could be reviewed and be cleaned up and locked) in the weight training section--to me there are alot of clutter in them that could be cleaned up and give a more professional appearance. And, these are just a few examples. It doesnt hurt one bit to review it to make a decision, and this is positive contribution to this thread.

But, its a mod decision, and just my opinion.
