there is a need for a stickie

The technique articles should be flushed from time to time I guess, but I can't do that.
Some of the stickies also kinda need other people to reply, like the technique articles.. articles get written every day and people can post them there. However, I could just edit into the top post that people should PM me with links and I'll put them up, and then wax Mreik's back to have him lock it :D

Yes, Karks, I see the need of some replies in some of the "present" stickies (I thought this went without saying really), but there are some that need locked and posts not permitted (unless approved by a mod) to permit the "main" purpose posts to be at the beginning and not all over the thread where a new person has to look through several pages just to get to the one they need to see......just a thought...

-Doing reps really slow makes it more effective (concentric and eccentric motions)

Actually, I am not 100% confident that my second point is a myth! I hear it a bit though but have read otherwise.
 
Can you elaborate on what you mean there?
Are you claiming that shocking the muscle doesn't cause growth? Or are you saying that it isn't the only way to cause growth?

You dont know about electrical impulses and muscle stimulation? **** its the newest scientific breakthrough.

this is the list i have that i've written a little bit about

Weight Training is for boys.
Carbs will make me fat.
Fat will make me fat.
I need to eat very low calories.
I run, so I don’t need to train my legs.
Soreness is an indicator of effectiveness
Too much protien will kill my kidneys / liver / other organs
Lighter weights, more repititions will make me “toned”
The number on the scale is the only thing that matters
Machines are good because you can’t hurt yourself on them


these are good ones,the thing is for stickies they need to be factual ie evidence to back it up,otherwise its going to end up as an argumental thread.
