Weight - 181.8

It's slow coming off, but i'll get there. I decided to have Saturdays as my weigh-in, so not sure how accurate this really is since I didn't weigh in last week, but it's a good place to start!!

Supper is my cheat meal. Pizza from Pizza Hut. My meals are messed up food wise because meal 4 is supper and meal 5 might be before I go to bed, but I'll get back on schedule tomorrow.

Meal 1 - oatmeal w/raisins and brown sugar, coffee
Meal 2 - chicken, egg white, bread
Meal 3 - turkey sandwich w/mayo, string cheese, milk, banana
Meal 4 - 2 slices pizza, breadstick

Did 30 minutes on ddr. Good for legs and cardio.

Last night I realized since I started my journey over again that what how much I used to eat was because I was afraid I wouldn't get full, so I would stuff myself so that wouldn't happen. How I would eat because it was supper time, not because I was hungry. I would eat because I was bored not because food was my friend. I was used to going out to eat once a week and it never was anything healthy I ate. On the weekends, we always ate out, at least for lunch. If we went to Sams Club, I would eat all the samples and then go to a restaurant. I really can't remember having anything healthy in the house, but I can remember eating breaded salmon patties and macroni and cheese once a week. To this day, I can't eat salmon patties. I burned myself out on them. When I was with Ash's dad, it was take fast food unless one of us cooked, which was rare to none and if we did cook, forget healthy and we drank mountain dew by the case. When I moved back home after Ash's dad left, I don't remember anything healthy still. I did cook when I lived with my parents, but it wasn't healthy. When I cooked hamburger helper, I never drained the grease. Tells you how much I never paid attention to what I was eating. When I moved here, supper was fast food pretty much every night unless I cooked and I'm pretty sure it wasn't much better. Grocery shopping was doritos, little debbie snacks, crackers, etc... Don't get me wrong, back then I did like healthy food (fruit, vegetables, etc), but didn't eat them very much. Fruit was only in the summer time when certain ones was in season that I can remember. I never thought about buying the frozen ones.

Now I've realized how much less you need to eat and still feel full. I would have never have imagined in my wildest dreams that 1 cup of cottage cheese with fruit would fill me up.

I'm still learning as we all are, but know I can what's healthy and what's not (for the most part), but my eating is defintely getting better but I still have a long way to go.

Food wasn't the greatest. Didn't even get close to my calories. Today is Monday, start over day (stole the line from one of the other girls).

Meal 1 - 2 pancakes (no butter and syrup), coffee, banana
Meal 2 - egg white, bread, raisins
Meal 3 - turkey sandwich w/mayo, string cheese, milk
Meal 4 - egg white, pb, pecans
Meal 5 - turkey smoked sausage, peppers, baked potato (no butter)

hello i know what you mean by yesturday's post...i never used to pay attention to what i was eating or why i was eating it, i would just eat when i was bored or when it was free (like samples) I still have a horrible habbit of opening the fridge when im bored, but now i dont take anything out, and if i do its a yogurt or i turn around and grab a banana.
I never thought i would like being on a schedual with my food, but i do, and i feel more satisfied eating smaller meals now because i am planning them right and eating healthy foods. I think it takes doing this for a while before anyone of us can believe that eating healthy is going to be something we enjoy. Congratulations.

We all have and continue to go through this every day, with anything we put into our mouths. Speaking for myself, I know that the psychology of food is a hard one to master - looking at a serving of something and saying "That will never fill me up" - and lo, and behold, it does. I think it has to do with nutritional content of the food... I could eat a whole bag of doritoes and feel full vs having cottage cheese and fruit (or nuts) - a much smaller portion, but much more nutrition in it. Also too, changing years and years of habit/lifestyle is a hard thing to do as well. And it's never really over - so long as we need to eat, everyone has to make these choices. It's a journey, but a long and fulfilling one. Welcome to the road.

The road is long, but I got my walking shoes on and ready to go. Don't know where it's gonna take me but we'll take it together.

I love your positive outlook sheri and I loved reading your previous post on looking back. YOu have come a long way girl and no matter what little hiccups you have along the way I love how you are always ready to get back up, dust yourself off and start where you left off. Not only that, you stay an inspiration and motivator for a lot of us! Thanks!!

This time I finally got exactly 30% fat, but need to work on the protein and carbs. I know where I can add more protein in, so we'll see how today goes.

Meal 1 - oatmeal w/raisins and brown sugar, coffee
Meal 2 - applesauce, string cheese, egg white
Meal 3 - carrots, turkey sandwich w/mayo
Meal 4 - cottage cheese w/fruit
Meal 5 - Smart ones roast beef w/gravy, bread, milk
Meal 6 - pb, wheat crackers

30 minutes of cardio. I didn't do anything yesterday since my back was hurting over the weekend and then my legs somewhat hurt yesterday. Think it was the DDR over the weekend that did it. Felt good to do it this morning and I'm ready for a nap...:D, but onward and upward with some laundry while Ash is playing on it.
