The Tattooed Lady

Had a good time at the reunion. Ate too much food, good at that. It was a potluck, so there was everything you could think of. We took potatos au gratin and corn on the cob. The potatos got wiped out, but nobody really touched the corn. They probably didn't want to shuck it themselves, but that's ok, more for us.

Day 1

Today is Day 1 with my new weight to work on. I wish we would have got the new scale sooner, but I'm glad I know what my real weight is and what I have to work on. Yes, the other scale gave me better numbers I liked, but it wasn't right.

Workout was ok. I went from 40 lbs to 59 lbs on my Arm Press, but I think that's too heavy, but the 40 lbs is too light. I need to do something about that. Any ideas? I'll see how Wednesday goes. I'm planning to up my Ab Pulley to the next weight. My Lat Pull Down is doing good at the weight they are now.

Lat Pull Down
46x10

Arm Press
59x10

Ab Pulley
42x10

I recalcualted my calorie intake and it says I should have 1700/day. If I stay between 1500-1700, I should be alright or at least I would think.

Wow starting Kindergarten, I have one left to go. My kids were all glad to go and I cried lol. It is hard when your babies don't need you as much. Glad the reuninon went well.

I think that's kind of expected, no?

As for the weights - what are you doing your exercises on? machine? cable system? Would suggest a pair of 50 lb dumbbells as mid way between the 40 and 60 you mentioned, but not sure if that's feasible with your setup.

It's a cable machine..WeiderPro 3200. I probably should invest in some hand weights when I do my tapes, which I need to start doing again. Hopefully tomorrow I'll do one, but they show you how to do them w/out weights.

Yes, you should, so your body can get used to handling different kinds of weight. To me, doing 20 lbs on a cable machine feels different than doing it with free weights. And I think the variation helpful in getting a training effect.

OMG....50 pounders??? And here I thought I was kicking @$$ with 10!! lol *sigh* oh well.....I can still claim to be a beginner, right? LOL

Yes your still a beginner, but it's different with a weight machine. There are no in between, only light or heavy or what I think is heavy. I've got to figure some happy medium.

Or train your muscles from multiple angles by incorporating dumbbells and other free weights into your routine. I say this because that's what my current routine has and I'm liking it a lot.
