The Spoon, Puck and Me

Hey Bronsk!!!

I'm sorry I haven't been around, especially with you going through all this family stuff:( Big BIG BIG Bear (((((HUGS!!)))) I hope your Grandma keeps improving. My grandma had a stroke a few months back, and we were basically told to go and visit her for the last time as she didn't have long, and she improved and is still trucking on now. It just goes to show, doctors don't know everything ;)

On a cheerier subject, bubble wrap? .... yes, that would be more fun ... heck its more fun when its on its own, let alone wrapping a naked man in it :D

You sound like you've had a good couple of days, and I know that you will have a good result on Friday (it really seems to have come around quick with me being off the net for a few days).

I've missed you loads, and it is great to be back. Keep up the fab work and beware!!!! (mwah ha ha) I am probably going to yak your ear off ..... making up for lost time ;)

Cheers lady ..... and its so good to see that you are a happy panda still :)

Hi Bronski, so sorry to hear about your nan. It's always so hard watching loved ones go through difficult health problems. Hope her recovery continues to improve.

Shopping sounds fun, glad you got a couple new things for yourself. It's always nice to have a few new things.

Hope you are having wonderful day!!

Welcome back Mrs B! *massive hugs* I've missed you loads!

*more hugs back* Thanks hun for the support, and you don't have to be sorry for not being around. You're right, doctors don't know everything. In this case, they do know that my nana does need the home help she keeps refusing  She's still improving, but I think she'll be in for a while again to monitor her blood sugar levels again. I doubt that under care she'll hypo/hyper.

Not so cheerier subject... LOST... Sawyer AND Charlie AND Sayid  You can all have them, they all made me cry last night.

And onto the cheerier subject again! Bubble wrap! Kinky, and theraputic ;)

Scarlett, shopping was fun, and like I said, only two of my previous sizes. I even got a denim mini skirt to fit

I've already said this once, but I will be posting pictures, hopefully tomorrow. I'll be sleeping in, 'cos I'm knackered and tiridness with the heat is giving me headaches (which I never get) but once I'm up, I'll be posting pictures in my old trousers (which still fit) and some of my new clothes :D

I've already mentioned this in the BA, but despite having loads of party food for the last night at Brownies, the worst I had were two pieces of bite-size caramel shortbread. Seriously, they were small by anyone's standards, literally about an inch squared per piece. Thankfully, one of the girls brough strawberries, which I munched on :D

I've booked a viewing of the flat! I wanted it for August, but as the lady pointed out, it probably won't be there. So I'm going this friday, though I might have to change last minute. Hope not, I'd hate to mess them round.

Food front: cereal and milk (112 + 49), pomegramate juice, tuna pasta thing, muller light yoghurt and apple (88 + 250 + 110 + 50) soup, sugar free jelly and raspberries (125 + 9 + 10) and strawberries and caramel shortbread (40 + 100ish) Total: 943 kcals, which I'm happy with.

OK, time to get some knickers washed for going away. Thank you everyone for all the support, kind words and just for generally stopping by :)

Bronsk

What did the guys from LOST do to make you cry  . Don't worry, I'll give them a good seeing to for you (sorry, that came out wrong .... or did it ;) )

I am so pleased that your nan is still improving :) I'm sure she will be much better in no time.

Great going with resisting that party food ... and to have had something sweet and nummy, but to just leave it at that ... that takes some self control. I know it will be a good result for you tomorrow (squeal of excitement .... I'm quite excited about tomorrow :) )

I am really looking forward to seeing these pictures. You have lost a real chunk of weight now, so I know there will be a big difference. ;)

I hope the flat works out for, and you have to take what you can get WHEN you can get it I suppose .... keep us posted.

Oh, and the pomegranate juice, do you like it? We tried Pomegreat which is pomegranate and grape juice, but we didn't like it. But it is supposed to be really good for your heart, so I wasn't sure if a different brand would be nicer ....

Well, congrats on all the hard work, keep it up, and I can't 'weight' until tomorrow morning to hear how you have done :) Tell me if you get sick of that pun

Cheers duckie

Hun, I never, *ever*, get sick of that pun :D Makes me giggle every time!

Although I haven't heard anything from Dad or uncles about nana, I'm sure she's continuing to improve. I guess at her age she does need the support she keeps turning down, but again... stubborn...

The LOST guys  You don't know!? *SPOILER ALERT* Sawyer cons everyone into giving him the guns from the hatch's armery, Charlie's paired up with him, and as part of the con, tries to kidnap Sun. Next episode, Sayid beats the hell out this guy (found in the jungle by crazy french chick Roussou) who he believes to be one of the others, because the stranger didn't know how deep his wife was buried, or how many shovels/handfulls of earth it took!

*gaaaaaaaaasps!*

You know what, if you want to sort them out in the kinky, bubble wrapping sense, feel free. I'm not talking to them anymore anyway. Unless they all turn good again. And offer me all kinds of treats and pleasure ;)

I'm looking forward to taking the pictures! I'm probably going to just stick my camera on a tripod and shot pictures at myself in the mirror! It'll be fun, especially since I'm up early to sign for *gasp* dad's wedding ring for girlfriend  *gasp* and won't have much to do for a while.

I'm quite looking forward to seeing the flat tomorrow as well, yea. I need to talk to dad about support (as he thinks student loans are a bad idea) and I think that until I get my better paid job, I'm going to need £350 ($750) a month to cover rent and food. The rest I can do myself through mentoring job (if they ever actually pay me for that) and Teacher's Pension I get from mum.

Foodage has been a bit of a low: 722 kcals. And that was upped by the cup of clementine juice I had not long ago (90 kcals) It's too late to eat anything else now, and tomorrow I'm cooking again; lime marinated chicken kebobs with rice! Kebobs sounds cuter than kebabs :D

Thanks, see you all in the AM! TGIF!

Bronsk

Hahaha, I love virtual bubble wrap! It's so much fun, and clean in the unmessy way ;)

Right, I think it's time I logged off, going to talk to daddy about flatage :)

Bronsk

Hi Bron, so glad you Nana is feeling better.

Don't be too impatient about the flat. The right one will come along.

Have a great Friday.

Hey Bronsk, I thought you liked the baaaaad boys ;)

So, is the wedding ring a surprise!!!! Is he going to pop the question  or is it something that they have decided together? How do you feel about it ... excited or apprehensive? (tell me to keep my big bear nose out if you like ;) )

Student loans are okay, especially as you do not have to pay them back until your earnings are at a certain level, but if you can manage without it is probably better.

Well, hi-ho, hi-ho, its of to work I go (I can't tell if I'm dopey or sleepy :D )

Catch ya later lady ;)

Hi Bronsk. I though I would just check up on you and see what is new in your life. ;) Have a great weekend. :D

ooooh, those were GREAT Lost episodes!!!! I love me some Sawyer.

Hope everything works out with the flat and the ring. And can't wait to see your pictures. Have a great weekend!!!

Hey Bear, Scarlett, Pinster and Jodee, I did mean to post here earlier, but my computer threw a wobbly and the post was lost.

Good news, I lost 2.5 kgs, over 5 lbs. Considering last week was a big loss as well, I'm not sure whether to see it as good or a bit naughty. Either way, things will probably get a bit out of whack when I get to Cyprus, so I guess it's quite nice to be back in the 80s, even for a day or two :)

Thinking, I haven't been this low in over a year and a half. I'm pretty sure I wasn't in the 80s the last Nationals I did. So that's quite nice, but I can't wait to get back into the 70s, and then, maybe, touch the bless-ed 60s!

The wedding ring isn't a surprise I'm afraid; dad and girlfriend/soon-to-be fiancee discussed it, so the question's going to be popped, with a very beautiful ring I may add, but with a definite yes. Bear, you asked how I felt; hopefully the right flat will come along (like Pinster said, have to wait for the right one now :)) so I won't be too involved in the life of my "step-mum". But really, so long as I get to be Best Man, I don't mind :D

With the flat... well, I went in today, and the little lady looked at me as if I was making the meeting up, then realised and said "Oh Bronwyn, I remember! I'm afraid someone viewed it and claimed it yesterday."

Gutted.

But the real doosey is that I actually rang her yesterday, and she could have said then "Someone's seeing the flat this afternoon/morning" like the other companies have. And on top of that, she also said "I meant to ring and tell you."

Fear not though, I have a new plan. Screw them all, I'm going to go to a proper estate agent, not the student onces, and find a rented place there. That'll show 'em. That, and I'll egg their cars in the dead of night.

I did my big girlie thing today and posed in front of the mirror in various states of dress. However, because we have an UBER SLOW computer *growl* it's going to take about a decade to load them. Will post once done.

Cheers all!

Bronsk

Excellent plan... :)

Which part of the plan, Mal? The look else where or egging the cars? :D

Scarlett, forgot to say that yes, they were really great episodes... Sawyer's flash backs made me weep though, that was so awful. Both were intense, though, to a point where it actually spooked me. I'm going to miss the next two episodes  so if anyone in the States wants to tell me what happens in the next episode, feel free :D

Computer still being pathetically slow.

OK, it's taken me 2 hours, but finally, I have my pictures online. For future reference, PhotoBucket is evil, I recommend SnapFish (thank you Mrs B!)

However, I can't make it do my evil bidding, so I'll post the link to the album up, and figure out how to do individual pics later.

I've felt incredibly empty tonight; not on a deep, emotional level, just really hungry. I think it's cos I had an early tea, and both my meals today have been really light. I ended up munching a fat free cracker and a handful of left over rice. I know I'm not over a 1000, though I couldn't tell you how far under I am. Definitely no less than 950. I've already crunched through about 2/3s of a pack of sugar snap peas, and have gravitated to diet lemonade (10 kcals a can) Fizzy drinks fill me up more, but thinking about it, it's a pretty shoddy idea before bed

Oo, I've posted a recipe in the Recipes area! Look out for the Chicken Kebabs with a Lime Glaze. Really lovely stuff, best mate gave it a thumbs up, and said she enjoyed it more (*gasp*) than the tuna burgers of last week !

OK, I'm not sure how much time I'll have for Interneting tomorrow, and if I do, I'll probably just come here; I won't have time for a blog round. If not, then hope you all have a fantastic week; enjoy the sun, and rain if that comes around.

Stay cool, gang! See you all soon!

Bronsk

You are a natural infront the camera Bronsk. Love the pics of you. If you want an opinion of which outfit I liked then you got it. I especially love love love the green tubie with the black skirt. You make that outfit look beautiful and comfortable.

This sounds like you may have run into my Great Aunt who must be 100 years old and losing her mind. ;) (I actually have an aunt who lives in West Sussex but I haven't seen her in about 3 or so years and no, she's not 100 yet. She is around 85 years old.)

Fab photos Bronsk, acting the joker as usual!!! :D And I can see why your buns were so popular ;)

What a pain in the butt about that flat, a real nuisance  But like you say, if you go to a proper estate agent, you will probably have more luck. I think student flats get snapped up a lot quicker than normal ones.

And now we know your real name (let the stalking commence ;) ). I was wondering what Bronsk was short for, but couldn't figure it out. Then when I realised it was Bronski Beat, I thought your name could be anything!!! (Well not anything .... its probably not John or Richard :D ). Bronwyn is a lovely name ... were you named after someone famous from history?

I am going to say this now, just incase you only come back once before shooting off pleasure bent again ...... have a really great holiday, come back tanned and happy. Keep aware of what you are eating and doing, but most importantly make sure that you enjoy yourself!! No-one is going to tar and feather you for eating a bit of ice cream ..... we might wrap you in bubble wrap though ;) I know your flight will be fine ...... boring, but fine :D

Missing you already, lady :( ...... toodles

you are just the cutest and prettiest young lady... your bubbley personality totally shows thru in those pictures... you seem comfortable with yourself and have a whole lot of sass... :D and a very lovely behind as well (be prepared to have it pinched a few times in cyprus :)

enjoy your holiday...

and bronwyn is a beautiful name....:)

Aw guys! You're making me blush :D Sadly yes, I'm a real poser and a bit of an extravert

Jodee, this woman may not quite be your aunt of 85-100 years old, this estatey agent looked about 25; quite young and very blonde. And seriously? The green tube? I haven't actually packed it because at last count I had 14 tops for 7 days... and I couldn't find my strap-less bra :D

Mrs B, which buns are we refering to? :D

And yep, Bronwyn is my real name. Now you can hunt me down, sneek into my house and nick my ginger beer  :D As for Bronski, I get called Bronny, and people shortened that to Bronski, as in, like you said, the Bronski Beats. It's a Welsh name, and I do have Welsh heritage. When my dad was young, his Welsh dad would get him and his brothers to watch How Green was My Valley, and the main character in that was called Bronwyn.

Thrilling, I know :D

Mal, thanks for the lovely compliments! And you have no idea how great it is to have someone day how nice my keester is! I've grown quite fond of it recently, as has Top Cat! It's a lot firmer and smaller, hence how I got into the size 16 short-shorts

As a pre-holiday day, today's been a bit stessful. So much so that I had lunch at 7:30 pm! I need to go to bed, so new website link is There are blog pages on the right.

I'm really sorry I haven't got round all the diaries tonight, but can I be forgiven as I'll be up in 5 hours...

Have a wonderful, wonderful week everyone, and thank you for all the encouragement and support. I'll be home Saturday evening, but may not be on until Sunday. By that time, I'll have weighed in, and I'll be back to where I started :D It's all in moderation, and being strict; no chips, no alcohol (haven't had any since September '05 anyway) no chocolate... maybe just one ice cream; I can stand the bubble wrap ;)

*hugs* everyone! Stay cool!

Bronsk

You're gone :( Have a great time and I will see you next Sunday ..... big welcome back ((((HUG!!)))) waiting for you on your return ......
