The road to loving myself!!!

Dog sick is GROS. Also: Shawarma is extremely high in fat, a panini was definitely the leaner choice, so that´s something...

Hi people

Yes the dog being sick very grosse, and it's not over he still isnt eating much or as energetic a usuall but he is slowly getting there!!! The messy part is over at least! The Shawarma is high in fat yes but very high in protein, low in saturated fat and sugar so I am ok with eating it ocasionally...I wouln't eat daily but once a month or so I am ok...I am not a big beleiver in fat free foods since most of it unless you are talking fresh veggies and fruit are processed foods. They make everything from scratch at work the garlic sauce they roast garlic and then mix it with olive oil so good!!!!

I have had a very busy weekend. Friday was getting the house ready for a few guess and completing a projectfor my course got an 88% on it not great but ok! Then Saturday a few people turned into 12-15....we had a great time I didn't drink much cause they where all deaf and I wanted to keep a sharp mind to be able to follow the conversation I am still a beginer when it come to sign language so it was great went to be at 3:45 in the morning I had to be up at 8 am to get me and the kids ready to go to my parents to celebrate my dad's 72nd bd. When I got up people where still up....husband just recovered yesterday lol! So I tried to eat healthy only had a handfull of chips and I mostly drank water on saturday I had one margarita and then water and I ate veggie stick as snacks. Sunday was a brunch I had an egg and toast, about one forkfull of hash brown and a sliver of cake! I weighted in at 203.6 on friday I am not happy about that :( but TOM started the next day so that could explain the 3 lb gain.

This is almost a book so enough from me!

You´re learning sign language? That´s so cool! Do you have hearing problems yourself or do you work with people who do (if you don´t mind my asking)? I think you did very well to mostly stick to your eating plans despite the many distractions, those three pounds will soon be gone again. Best of luck!

I think I had a date with a girl named Shawarma once. She was high in fat also.

(He quickly exits before rotten tomatoes are thrown at him for uttering that joke)

Hi LaMaria...I have been learing sign language for about I would say 12 years + I can say preatty much what I want in sign....but when they respond in sign I don't undertand everything. I learned when my husband and I became friends in our late teens.....he's deaf so to make comunication easier since I talk really fast I decided to learn. It is a beautiful language, I just need to start hanging out with his friends more so that I can fully converse in sign.

Brawny.....Funny!!!!!

so I weighted in at 203.0 this morning......not what I was hoping for....I am feeling a little discouraged, we walked at our break, but we did eat not that great most of the week because we had to strech the food we had....can't wait to get my first paycheck.....! I will be back later I need coffee!

Money problems really do suck. But now your kitchen is (probably, pretty much) empty of stuff you didn´t really want to be eating... At least you know it´ll get easier soon, and with that the weight thing will be easier too.

Learning a new language for a partner is always special (and important, no matter how many or how few people speak it) I think, but learning sign language even more so because it involves changing from ears to eyes, which is pretty cool.

Take care :)

Hello

wow it's been a while since I came here! I love my husband very much but at the same time I can't wait for him to go back to work....he has been on hollidays for the past two weeks, and he screwed up the whole schedual. On the plus side he went to play BINGO with his mom and won the Jackpot :) Guess whom is going shopping for a Victoria Secret Sports bra???? Yes that would be me. Some of my equally chesty friends swear by em so I am very much looking forward to that....now I have to find the time!!! I love the work I am doing, I feel upbeet and less tired. I kind of want that lady to take her retiredment, I don't want her to be on prolonged sick leave cause no one deserves that!! She should retire and enjoy life while she is still reasonably healthy. I can't make her do it! I want that job so bad....I love the boses the people, waking up at five am not so much but it's worth it! On the weight loss path it ain't going so well I weighted in at 203.6 the damn scale isn'T my friend.....but then again I have been surviving on my husband's cooking wich was mostly fries with veggie burgers, or chicken , or salad but fries at everymeal...oven baked but frozen fries where previously cooked in oil so no good.......I got my first pay check...kind of wish it was more....I made more on EI but that is not an option at this point, 4 days a week would go a long way but beggars can't be choosers. I am almost done with my course two projects left and I am done!!! We are going camping this weekend I will be in my parents yard but my sister and maybe some of her kids are gonna be joining us!! I hope my nefew will be there his girlfriend is expecting in September and this may be my last chance to see the pregnant belly!!! This weekend will not be the best food wise my sister and me = WINE lots and lots of it!!!! Come monday I am back 100% in the weigh loss game!!!

Yay for sports bras, I wouldn´t know what to do without them! I´m with you in hoping the nice lady will decide to enjoy life outside the office, leaving you to take over ;) Have fun camping!

La Maria, Brawny

Hello

I am still here not so active cause I couldn't seem to log on for the last two weeks!!!! Weight wise I have been at a stand still....probably even gained, but I can proudly annouced that I have completed my course with a 90% GPA. I decided to cut my hair from halfway down my back to the shoulder. I am feeling more confident and hopefully this will lead to getting back to healthy eating full time and also now that my course is done I have a bit more free time to work out! I will try and come on here everyday so that I can journal my intake. I will also try maybe for a couple of weeks while I am adjusting my routine and making good eating to count my calories just to get an idea of how much I eat.

Congratulations on your course! Good to have you back, less stress does make it a bit better. And I will never, ever have my hair longer than shoulder length again because it´s so much easier :)

Ok....I wasn't able to log on yesterday but today I did on the first try! My challenge for this month is to stop munching at night....I watch tv I get bored and end up eating everything in the kitchen....so annoyed at myself...can't even blame comercial since I watch Netflix only....satellite is too expensive so we only have netflix now. I used to work out with free weight a few years back....I should start that again!!! Sunday I am heading to Victoria secret and then I get to work out on the threadmill again I miss it so I am looking forward to that!

I am totally not envious! (I would be though, if it weren´t be for the fact that their cuts don´t suit my bodytype at all.) Distraction is the only thing to do against late-night munching... If I do have a period where I´ll just sit and watch tv I knit or crochet something while doing so or I will eat anything left in the fridge.

Hello People

Well I have been away for a while. I have trouble logging in on the site and I am not a patient personne so I decided to just drop the site, but I do miss the people on here when I am away so I am back, hopefully for good. I never did get to Victoria Secret. I wish they had chosen the East end of the city rather then West end and downtown to place their store. I don`t have time to drive there on my lunch break and I never seem to get kid free time to go shopping. I am not bringing kids to shop for bras, My son hates shopping and my daugther is loud, bra shopping should be me time not stressful time. Husbands just don't get it. Weight wise I am at 204.6 it`s my new plateau, and I ate really well I am talking full on home made food not junk from Quenoa salads (homemade dressing no sugar), overnight oatmeal no sugar added fruits where my only sugar veggies no dip where my snack, I wasn`t hungry and I was eating aroudn 1200 calories a day for 14 days the weight did budge, Just stayed at 204.6! I am not giving up but I should have lost at least 1/2lb damn it! Maybe it`s the stress thing I don`t know, I drink in between 2 - 3 L of water a day, I have one coffee in the morning and then a green tea in the afternoon , no pop no juice. it`s annoying! I am gonna start journaling my food again on here starting monday!

Hi, I'm new so I don't remember you, but glad that you've come back and you're still trying :)

Plateaus are the worst! It's so disheartening, especially when you feel like you're doing really well. Good on you for not giving up though! I have a dreadful habit (which I'm trying to kick) of falling back into old ways if I don't see results week on week!

I think the food diary is a good idea, it's so easy to think you are doing well when you might really be adding extras you don't need or grazing without thinking about it. I'm not saying that that's what you are doing, but I know that it's one of my biggest downfalls: I 'forget' that mid morning biscuit or 'forget' that slice of toast whilst I cooked dinner. Easily done!

Don't give up! Keep making changes until you find what works :D
