The Motivational Generator!

DAY ONE - Juice fasting: Today I start something new. Time to take a Solid Food Vacation. That is to say a break from eating solid foods. On that note I will be making a lot more posts and more regular to keep myself on track with this new challenge.

Scratch that last post - SCRATCHHHHHH - I'm throwing in the odd smoothy until I have used up all my food. I'm still considering this a solid Food Vacation though. Just going to have to play this next week and a half by ear. The intent is still the same. Clean consumption all over again.

There are no chemical solutions for lifestyle related problems. Change your lifestyle. I like the message in this:

I guess the other side to the above context with Cure is Pure! How pure does one want to be? I think I will let pain be the gauging factor to that. Trouble is that most things we consume today do not bring on the pain till it's too late ... or more over until we start making excuses. Just my theory, however this John Rose character makes a lot of sense to me

I'm off for another walk. This week I am feeling depleted, but being careful not to give up during such a phases.

Although I've been getting plenty of exercise, I have not been getting enough sun imo. I think when people reason they go to the gym, they figure they don't need much outdoor exposure. It's time I worked on stabilizing my maintain phases and actually enjoy the hard yards I have put in.

It's time to ease up on the body by dialing back the intensity of exercise, work more on daily routine ... quality sleep ... eating clean and so on.

Sounds like a plan.

My clothes are ready for the mornings routine ... making notes re the maintenance phase:
I still need to be vigilant to some degree as going easy at this stage could see me giving into bad habits. Early nights and better planning with daily activities is going to be key. I still need work on developing long term healthy habits that does not just include healthy foods.

I share this new trick that's working really well for me. It's called the:

80% Full Tip.

I've been doing really well in eating the right kinds of foods and at the right times. My next challenge has been learning to know when I am 80% full. Here is a link to a blog post that explains it's origins well: The Okinawan Diet Rules

What I can share is the importance of first being able to listen and feel your body. It's hard enough to take on this challenge when you have been eating clean for some time let alone when your still eating junk. Fact is, there is no one way with all these hints and tips. You have to combine them all together with lifestyle. That's why I have taken to the statement I heard recently, "there are no chemical solutions to lifestyle related problems."

Sadly I do not have the time to delve into that as it relates to me. I can say though, that I work real hard at staying off my medications by eating and living clean. I know too well just how those chemical solutions actually created the host of other issues that play into feeding the machine that keeps the economy going. Humans have become nothing more than consumers with short and painful life spans. But I rant on about that in another post.

How to break out of the matrix and maintain a healthy life whilst living in a toxic world is more important than getting more toxic on fear campaigns also used to make a $. Instead of worrying about the future of food, I am too busy learning to pick the best of whats currently available and within my means.

Yea - so how the hell does one go from eating all that sweet wheat and savory fatty meats - to knowing when the hell one is 80% full? Only bu giving up all the sugar and fatty foods point blank and living clean for at least 6 to 12 months.

Like when I gave up smoking ... despising that fact that the system sells such poison and developing a passion of dissatisfaction in oneself for ever having been stupid enough for being such an addict on food for as long as one has been ? really helps to set the intent to give all that shit up!!! I tried many soft approaches and none worked ... possibly because I am an all or nothing guy. If I ever messed around with "Oh well ... I'll just cut this or that down ..." I always failed. To cut back on poison, (that's exactly what sugar and salt is - at least the way we now eat it in this modern age) - I would instead cut out completely one of the many poisons and know that I was then truly happy with the term cutting back.

That's what worked for me. - I'll have to see how I go with the 80% full tip, now that I can finally feel my body as opposed to only ever eating those burgers and fries till they were all gone. ;)

Best wishes with your own attempts with whatever systems work for you . I find it's mostly in our minds - how we come to make the decision and knowing when to stop bullshitting ourselves. :)

106kg down to 77kg - 233lbs down to 167lbs. - almost 30kg down.

Yes - We are doing it. :) For me it has become my lifestyle and something I welcome with each day.

This week = working on relationships. Younger son is back living at home and doing well enough. Other kids doing as best they can like the rest of us. I'm also keeping focused on 80% full with good results. No meat for over a week now and feeling pretty good. Having cut out new contacts and the men's group has helped to reestablish balance with my overall routine. Was

That's about it for now. Still getting up at 5am for the most part. Gym is regular 3 times a week with jogging on the off days (sometime I hit the treadmill as well on gym days [depending how I feel]) - Sunday I spend inactive for the most part or just catch up on things around the house. I've recently included sunning myself out in the backyard which I think is helping quite a bit. Mostly because it's a time I am meditating as well as taking in natural vitamins. Vitamins that came straight from the source, unlike synthetic supplements. The only supp I take now is Vitamin D.

Lastly - taking in two large tea spoons of coconut oil in my herbal teas has been seeing excellent results for my skin and overall health. Not sure how long I will keep this up, but right now, it seems easy enough to include and no real down effects. The only thing I may not is a a blocked nose starting up during the evenings. This may be due to a curry paste I have been introducing into my evening meals. Other than the curry paste I only use whole foods (Not processed, dried or powdered) as toppings and add on flavors, ie - Apple cider vinegar, ginger, and so on.

Anyways - living like this is becoming quite natural to me now. Takes little effort for my mind to wrap around, although it does take effort in the kitchen and also with planning when going out of the house. I don't mind though, because it keeps me busy and focused on all that I do. I eat only small amounts and pretty much nutrient dense foods. Hydration mostly comes from eating soft fruits, juices and smoothies. My skin is always shiny and soft - only a few dry areas which is easily moisturized and then stays soft for long periods.

Hygiene is pretty good - another part of my routine that I now welcome and use a a gauge like the tinnitus in my ears. The later is not so bad of late, although I can tell when I am pushing myself as it starts to ring a higher pitch. Such is life for many as we age.

Joint wise - feeling really good! Elasticity has me thinking I might cap off living with more stretching. BUT - I'm content to leave things with the sunning and mediation for now. That and the coconut oil in my herbal teas with 80% full will be my new challenges for the following weeks.

Time to finish this lemon water now and pick up my daughter and do some laps.

Adios until next post.

Learning how our calf muscle takes on half the function of our heart muscle really put things into perspective for me. Once that fact sinks in, you really begin to understand how sitting and standing really is killing us.

This podcast is certainly one of my favorites in the walking genre.

Now maintaining with a new rule on top of the others - combined with 80% full, I now also ensure that I do not eat for at least 12 hours after my evening meal. The discipline is working in well with my walking. No time right now to self reflect on my achievements - but the plan I have in place at the moment seems to be falling into place very well.

Hope to elaborate soon enough. 76.2kg this mornings weigh in.

Lisa picked this up today for $5au - Less than 3 British Pounds:

I'll have to work something out for the filter papers as I'm having trouble locating the original sheets. All the same I will work something out. Yet another tool for the plant based living. Also scored this awesome book with it:

The book was first published in 1983 (33 years ago as of 2016) - this is the 6th edition published in 1999.

Apparently the young ones think he is too eccentric. I think I will understand his passion and spasmodic thinking quite well!!! I look forward to reading his comprehensive book regardless of those who struggle with his attention to detail. People really are too lazy to learn for themselves these days. If they don't have time, then sprouting is not really for them.

Sadly he met with an untimely death in a head on car accident.

I look forward to making time for this next phase of me raw eating:
HEALING WITH SPROUTS

Have a nice day.
