Mystic, my biggest issue was my shoes.... I had to sit them in front of a fan all night because they were soaked through. But I don't think they smell any worse than they did before, haha.
Well, I had an awful awful long run last night. I've been wanting to run my commute for a couple of years now, and while technically I did complete the 11.5 miles on foot, there was a lot of walking and I had a bit of an anxiety attack the second I walked in my front door. I don't like doing my long runs late in the day, but logistically it was much more simple to do it that way. My legs were just ridiculously tired after mile 4, and I was thirsty as helI despite all the water I was consuming. I think I should have given myself more time after my 10k this weekend to recover. I did it much faster than my training runs, but still only gave myself one day of rest. Live and learn.
After the run I was starving. I'd eaten light all day because my stomach doesn't like running with food in it, so I made up the calories afterwards. Deli meat with crackers and cheese pre-shower, ice cream post-shower. G surprisingly pointed out that ice cream wasn't going to help me with recovery, but I didn't listen. I ate twice as much as my normal serving. Then I couldn't sleep so I had chips and a granola bar at 1 am. Bah.
