The long and winding road hurts my fat feet

I am working out pretty regularly, but eating empty calories. Geesh. When I have more time I will post more.
 
Keep on going......exercise is great! That food will fall into place :D Just keep at it!

Hey guys, crazy week at work, had to take a Maleficient type break. Not sure yet if this week will be better, but I am going to try and lose 5 pounds by Christmas, so at least its a wash after the holidays. Then I am going to switch gears on my weightloss mindset and set 10 week, 20 pound goals. Small victories, that I can see the end on the horizon kind of stuff.

Yeah, unfortunately I have not even had time to play Wii. Good grief, putting in my 60 hours, being a dad, husband, getting to the gym and trying to sleep at least 6-7 hours.

This week - Lift tonight, tommorow night, walk on the track with my wife, wednesday, swim, thursday spinning, friday lift, saturday cardio machines. Sunday rest. If I hit at least 3/4 of those I will be pretty excited. I have been doing the weights really well lately, but not the cardio. It sucks too. I am getting back to hte point where its like...oh crap, I have to walk up stairs...ok let me catch my breath, where as in october it was like "let me jog this mile, then do a few flights of stair, bike home, and then gentily dab the sweat from my brow, if i broke a sweat at all. Not anymore.


Ok, my goal for on here this week is to post in 5 people's diaries. No sweat

Ahh FGT sounds familiar. Im having similar troubles but barely managing to muddle through.

Just make sure you schedule some downtime for yourself eh :)

Lock the kid in a closet and just throw food and water in a few times a day - he'll adjust.. and take some time for yourself... go for a walk with your lovely wife.. and put down the stinkin' donut :D

I typed out a nice long post this morning, spent a fair amount of time on it, and the board was fubar'd....

Bummer. I will post more later. I got busy in the meantime.
 
I am journalling everything right now in a spiral notebook. Cliff notes version:

Monday, Lifted
Yesterday Cycled, 25 minutes at a 100 rpm cadence
Ate too many calories both days.

The Thanksgiving til now damage has been fairly minimal, about 2-3 pounds.

My goal for December is just to get into a grove for 07. Then I am going to have 4 mini goals of 20 pounds, and hopefully drop 80 in 07. Huge goal when you look at it that way, but when its "lose 20 pounds by april" its not so bad.

I was actually suprised at how well I was able to do cardio last night given it was the first time in about 10 days I had done any cardio. I just get in this funk of "I only want to lift and get huge muscles" and then I just am not feeling the cardio, and then I get on an endurance kick, nad think bulk muscles slow me down. I have a personality disorder I guess. RIght now I am feeling both.

So back to my goal, I am about 6'1" and if I drop 80 in 07, that will put me at about 180 which is where I would like to stay. That would put my total weight loss at get this...150 pounds. Wow.

Yeah, so I have been struggling with extra work responsibilities, and with lack of stucture in my workouts, but the damage done has been minimal, and within the next 10 days I will be back on my routine as strongly as ever. It really is lifestyle, because even when I "pigged out" at Thanksgiving it was eating a piece of candy instead of a bag, and a piece of sugar free pie, instead of a pie, sugar laden and all.
