The Last Fifteen

Day 5 - weighed in at 140 today. Don't get me wrong, I would love to have a bagel right now!! but nah. Why would I do that? It's so close to the weekend and I've been doing great all week (plus gluten free!). Might as well keep it up.

Speaking of the weekend, it's going to be a challenging one! Lots of plans and fun things, including dinner with babe <3 Affirming that this weekend WILL be a great one as far as weight loss is concerned!!! I will be mindful of my food intake and diet at ALL times. I tend to overeat out of boredom so gonna use the distraction as an opportunity to avoid mindless eating.

I slipped.. just had 2 chocolate bars. Ah well, not going to beat myself up -- just going to regroup and make sure my next meal is awesome. It was a nice Friday treat though! But it ends there! Not turning this into a snowball effect. On the bright side they were gluten free.

Day 5 - went to a bar with coworkers and just had water b/c didn't plan on staying long.

Food intake after 11pm:
- soup with chicken, corn, egg
- two fortune cookies
- 3 beers
- gummy candy

walked 10K steps yay. But broke my gluten free-ness on the beer. Day 5 was not a great day but will definitely do better today.

Jeez, Saturday was a cheat day. Carbs, cheesecake, candy, lobster, pasta, donut holes. It was bad haha. But I had a great day. Today however it's all about recouping. Grocery shopping time for healthy things to bring for lunch this week. Keeping it gluten free.

Weighed in at 142.2 today, so lost about one pound this week. Not bad! It would be amazing to reach in the 130's this week.

Here's how today's eating is going so far....

Breakfast:
Activia Greek Yogurt
Fibre One Bar
Detox Drink (water with some lemon and cranberry juice) (negligible calories)

Lunch:
Chicken wrap with a rice tortilla (gluten free). Arugula, spinach and red bell peppers. Miracle whip.

Snack:
Bagel with butter
Coconut water

The tortilla was an epic failure!!! it's tough and difficult to maneuver. It broke easily when I folded it and completely fell apart as I was eating... it can't be folded. Next time I'll just cut it in half and make a sandwich instead of folding it. And when the pack is done not sure I will repurchase. This is the first and last gluten-free alternative I'll try. No gluten free pasta, bread, cookies etc just gonna have the REAL thing if I want it that bad.

TMI alert.. I didn't have a BM all weekend.. feeling really crappy (pun intended)

Plan for the rest of the day is to avoid mindless snacking. Can't wait to make a green smoothie tonight. Last night I froze some very ripe bananas and will make a smoothie today maybe I'll add some peanut butter too.

I'm actually kinda bummed about this weekend. I could have easily been in the 130's today (at one point during the week I was literally 140.0) I'm not going to beat myself up about it though, if anything this is motivation to do much better. And it will feel that much sweeter when I finally make it I guess.

Day 2 of week 2! Keeping very hydrated =) Repurchased Omega 3 fish oil, my favourite supplement ever. On my lunch hour I walked for some cardio, while thinking about where I went wrong last week and thinking of a plan for the week ahead -- I was doing perfectly fine up until I felt seriously deprived and caved in with Chocolate on Friday afternoon.. After that it just went downhill the entire weekend until Monday. Totally back on track today though (After all my hard work is reversed. SMH.)

This week gonna stick to the same plan (after all, it was working until the weekend came) however this week when/if I feel like I'm seriously deprived I am going to try something new: just go ahead and have a full cheat day, but absolutely return to my plan starting the very next day (even if that means cancelling on a social - I'm serious about this!!)

Had to flop on bae for wing night. Been doing wayy too good today to mess up with fast food. Had a snack when I got home (candy, almonds and vanilla almond milk).

Week 2, day 5. 141.8 pounds again

I'm doing pretty well with avoiding wheat and sugar. Currently reading a book called "Sugar Blues" and it pretty much is about how sugar is poison. It's a quite interesting read so far.

Just had a really bad craving for sugar (in the form of a chocolate bar and coffee with sugar + cream). Instead I took a walk and had some fruit. Pretty proud of myself for doing that because not only is the craving gone, but I actually feel really good. Only a couple hours left of work, then I can go home and catch some Zzz's. This has been a crazy week.

Nice work in here TC! Keep up the good work! Keep away from that fast food for a bit and you won't be able to eat it before long. I used to wear it out, but I don't miss it in the least anymore.

Thanks Quercus :) I've purchased groceries today (main things were quinoa, salmon and avocado) and planned my dinners for the next 2 weeks as that meal is my biggest challenge.

141.2 today .. did a kettlebell workout video, it was pretty good and fun. I struggled during some parts but my goal for this week is to master it.

Still 141 today. Trying to avoid sweets lately.. reading Sugar Blues helps. I just want to lose weight already. Been stuck in the 140’s for what seems like forever.

Feeling real sore form last night. Good!

142.0

Currently sipping on lemon water and loving it – so many health benefits. I’m stuck in the low 140’s even though I’ve been eating so healthy lately. I am pretty backed up right now, I’ll admit. I feel like my body is testing me lol, I check the scale often and it’s barely moved even though I’m eating pretty well. Today will be a challenge. Friday’s always are. And what’s more pressure is that my Friday eating habits tend to carry on into the weekend. So if I do well today, the rest of the weekend is a breeze, and vice versa. So I guess all I can do is take it one meal at a time and keep sticking it out.

Ideally, I would like to reach my goal before summer. Here is what I'm striving for:

139 - Monday April 7. Reward: New workout hoodie and Nike cap
138
137 - Monday April 14. Reward: Massage, Wax
136
135 - Monday April 21. Reward: Manicure and pedicure
134
133 - Monday April 28. Reward: New hair products and makeup
132
131 - Monday May 5. Reward: Colonic
130
129 - Monday May 12: Reward: Clothes & bikini shopping!

139.2 today!!!!! Finally in the 130's!!!!

5 more til I'm at my ideal weight for my height (135) then 5 more til I'm in the 120's :)

What's really been working??? Walking a lot and training for 10K's. As for eating, I've stopped buying lunch/snacks/candy and started cooking dinner and bringing the leftovers for lunch (usually salmon and quinoa, plus a banana or apple). Still drinking coffee and tea black.

I'm currently reading The Sugar Detox and it's really opening my eyes to my addiction. yes, I've admitted that I'm addicted to sugar. It took a few weeks to really internalize that (it was hard, around Easter aka chocolate time) but I have accepted it and am working on really reducing my sugar intake. Not only will my teeth thank me, but my body has been thanking me and my skin too.

I weighed this much last August and to be honest I felt a lot thinner there. Maybe because the weight loss was "new" to me back then. After like 9 months of maintaining, I'm very happy and proud to say I've broken into the 130's. I haven't been here since August 2013 and I'm finally here today. I feel soo happy!!! Now the plan is to make sure the scale continues to go down, not up!

Congrats on breaking into the 130s.
Sounds like you really worked your ass off to get here. Well all I can say is glad you made to the 130s, but hope it is a short visit until you hit the 120s.
Good luck, I'll be rooting for you.....
