Jumbie, When I started I was 242 lbs, as of today I'm 207lbs, my goal isn't so much a specific weight, but rather to my 6 pack back. Having said that, I'll probably get down to about 175lbs, so I've got a ways to go. As for how I've done it? I'm currently running 3km every morning, up and down hills outside as opposed to a treadmill. I'm also doing pushups and various dumbbell curls. After I get my body fat percentage down, I'm going to do a lot more bodyweight type strength exercise, I'm starting to get an urge to start doing chin ups

As for food, I try to keep my calorie intake below 1300 calories, mainly rice, stirfry veggies, tuna, and chicken. Poached egg on wholemeal toast for breakfast and at least 3L of water every day. I'm a musician, so most of my day involves sitting in a room with a guitar in my hands, so my calorie needs aren't as high as someone working in a physical workplace.
