The Journey of a one legged fat guy

Nice work getting back on it, man. Have fun grabbing some new clothes. I was going to do that with my birthday money but I figured I'd just buy a belt for $40 and get another month or two out of the jeans I have now instead of replacing them at $50/pair.

Okay, its Wednesday. I am dealing with the aftermath of a weekend of too much fun, friends, and food. I feel like I just have undone all the hard work i have put into my weight loss over the past 3 weeks. How is it possible to gain back all the weight in one weekend? Alright, enough belly aching.

Workouts started again on Monday. 40 mins of cardio then off to work. Tuesday was about the same. Today, I did 30 mins of cardio and I will do another hour of workout tonight after work. I am doubling up my work until I get back to where I was.

Food has been completely out of control. Even yesterday when I was counting I hit 2100 cause I couldnt say no to the German Chocolate cake. Im glad its out of the house now. Now I have to be very strict.

This weekend is going to be interesting. My wife friend is coming to visit which means we will be going out again. I plan on being very controled this time. Also, there are going to be some great sales going on and I have money to buy new clothes!!!!! YEAH!!! I only have one pair of shorts and I just go those last weekend. I need new swim trucks too. I almost have a beach body. Thats new. :)

I love to listen to you - it is like hearing myself think, only with a deeper voice.

So it seems like you and I had similar weekends...(yes, scary I know) it took me a few days to realize that I didn't undo all of the hard work I did, it will just take some time to get back on track. That is what life is about, things happen and part of doing this successfully is getting through life's events with some degree of reason or realizing that when you do screw up that it isn't the end of the world.

It isn't.

You know that mathmatically, you could not have blown it, all the cake in the world over the past few days isn't going to do that. You have done an amazing thing in such a short amount of time, one little break isn't gonig to set you back. Did you lose a day or two, probably, I know I did.

But you are back at it and will move through this and past it. You are such an inspiration to me and keep me motivated ~ you can do this and so can I :D

Awesome on the clothes - I have to get a bathing suit but I have such strict requirements that I know it will be damn near impossible to find one...beach body I do not have...whereas you are pretty much there ;)

I got shorts, it is all those cute summer tops I need (and new bras too, something you thankfully don't have to be bothered with)...I love summer shopping.

Hang in there, you are doing just great!!!

You didn't undo three weeks in three days. It just feels like it because your body is pissed off at you. Be nice to it, say you're sorry, and then you'll be friends again. :D I'm guessing the scale went up the way it did because of water weight. That happens to me when I misbehave. No-no foods usually have more sodium.


I need new swim trucks too. I almost have a beach body. Thats new. :)

What everyone is saying is 100% true. I am getting in the same boat here- we really need to refocus as a group:)- and am thinking I have undone all the good I have done in a week. It is simply not possible.
We all need to rededicate and refocus and get our butts into shape- literally and figuratively!
WTG with the clothes. I need to eventually buy all new shorts- the ones I have are literally falling off me.

You'll be fine, just like we all will, we just have to get out of May methinks.

I do not know what is going on. I blame the weather but I know it is just an excuse.
Week and a half left of May. Need to make it count.

It is weird how we are all so much alike...freaky in a cool sort of way :D

Its Thursday and I have been working VERY hard on getting this last weekends blubber off of me. Last Friday I weighed in at 201, day before yesterday i was 205, and today I got back down to 202. So I am moving in the right direction. My revised goal for next Monday is 199. The origanal goal was 194. I am about 8 pounds behind my set schedule. I think I should be able to catch up in the next 3 weeks. By fathers day I want to be on schedule.

Workouts: I have doubled my routine for this week. I am doing 30 mins of cardio in the morning and then going back to the gym in the afternoon for another 30 min of cardio and 30 mins of weight training. I have to becareful cause if I go too extreme I will cause a slow down.

Food: I am starting to get my food back under control now. No more german chocolate cake in the house. I just need to manage it very closely the next couple of weeks to get better results.

Alright, If Im going to win agains Fish, which I dont think will happen, I have to kick butt!

You are right on top of your game and that's something to be proud of. Not so easy to get back on track after a weekend-long birthday bash.
