Week 3 photos today. The difference is pretty big actually. Even from week 2 to today i could see a difference. Trying not to get a number in my head for the weight in but it's hard not to "want" a big number considering all the progress I am making. Its amazing what happens when you actually give up junk food lol.

Looks like you're doing quite well! You are really motivated and are keeping pretty focused which is great! I need some of that ;)

Keep it up and come 29th....your 10-20 lbs might be a bit on the low side :)
 
Hey man it sounds like you know what you're doing then, hopefully your first weigh in should be a good one, the first few weeks you do lose more weight than average so it's a great confidence boost to see that you can do it.

You will need to keep plugging your weight into the calculator to re-calculate your maintenance and hence your new target, I originally aimed for 3lb per week loss and had a large 2600ish maintenance so I was at about 1300 cals target, as I lost weight this dropped to about 1100 which was getting too low so I recalibrated for a 2lb loss which is now about 1600 which is better, so weightloss will slow over time, the last few lbs will be the hardest, I'm not looking forward to that.

Rift has been a good laugh, I don't usually play MMOs that much they're a bit too grindy but I'm having fun with PvP on my Assassin, I'm on a PvP server and I like to spring out of stealth in the PvE areas and knock an enemy on the head who is minding his own business questing, then instantly pop back into stealth, fun times :)

League of Legends is good, I actually got a projector recently and I hooked that up and have been playing on the large screen, I just get a bit bored of the same 5v5 map constantly, and the progression to new characters is a bit slow, so I got bored and stopped playing recently. Too many games in the last steam deal to get through anyway :)
 
omg dont even get my started on steams summer sale. I bought WAY to many game haha. Currently playing Hellgate: Global and loving it. Only play for an hour or 2 after I cook and workout.

As far as maintenance goes, your at a 1600 cal. a day diet? I mean I eat atleast 2k a day and my maintenance is like 4900 cals. To loss 3 lbs a week I gott eat 3100 cals. and I only get in about 2200 maybe on a good day. I just get so damn full. I can force feed but damn it's getting to the point where I cant. I am ok with going slow, I will have loose skin I know that so the slower the better. Also....my true test will come when I plain stop losin weight for whatever reason. In which I will change up my work out and my diet.

Welp things are pluggin away as usual. I feel like I am not eating enough. Usually it's the opposite but today I tracked my calorie intake for everything I get which is dam near the same thing everyday. By the time lunch was over I had only eaten 700 calories. By dinner only 1300. After my workout minus 500 cals, I only have a net of 800. I am horribly scared my body will go into survival mode and store rather then expend.

The thing is it's getting hard for me to eat more. I can barely get through 10 am snack. Don't get me started on dinner. I only was able to eat half my turkey on wheat.

Who knows, i'ma keep pluggin away. Just because I am concerned about something doesn't mean I should get down and out. Ya it's making me a little bit paranoid but anytihng is better than eating fast food again.
 
Just got done cooking dinner. Taking a break from exercising tonight. All I need to do is some squats. Hell now that I think about it I think I will work out LOL. I stay not to and then bam thats all I want to do. I suppose that's a good thing actually. Tuesday of next week will be day number 30! I will go weigh in and HOPEFULLY I will get some great numbers. 30 days of no junk food, no cadies, no fast food, no cokes and I feel great. Clothes are fitting WAY more loose and just ya things are great. I hope this momentum keeps up! My plan is to post pics at 75lbs lost and I cannot wait.
 
Wow, that's so great you were able to go cold turkey off all that stuff. I see your a gamer (title gave it away!). Don't roast me, but I'm an xbox 360 gamer. Love everything about it. Would love to play some computer games, but my computer just can't handle games. Always ends up with bad graphics and real sluggish.

Can't wait to here about more of your progress. Keep it up!:hurray:
 
To be honest I thought it would be A LOT harder but it's really not. All you have to do is just say no, no pun intended.

I have a 360 and I may have played it like 5 times haha. I just built a 2000 dollars gaming rig a few months back and I am lovvvving it. Thanks for stopping by! and come back soon I weigh in Tuesday it looks like.

if u see changes in your photos for sure u will see some on the scale! plus u r building muscle with your work out!

I take pics every sunday

Boxing for 45 mins every night. Going to start running today actually

Strength training upper 3 days a week and legs two days a week (mainly Goblet Squats)

My diet could be a littttttle bit tighter, i.e. better cheese, less hamburger meat but this has to fit the rest of my life and if it makes the progress a little slower...I am ok with that.

Since I m building muscle I don't think the scale will show a huge loss. But I would be happy with 10 lbs. I like using the scale but mainly its how my clothes fit and the pics I take that keep me motivated.

Well I went and bought a new pair of pants today :) Went from a size 50 to a size 48! I know it's only one size down but that just tickles me to death haha.

Ya my legs are just now getting to be a little more stronger but they are still adjusting to the training.

I really don't work out all that much. I don't go to any gyms, I do everything at home. Minus my running which starts tonight and the gym in my apartment complex. Lets hope we can keep the good times rollin!
 
Week four pics this morning, only just a very small change from week 3 to week 4 but I figured that. I really need to just stop comparing week to week and just compare from day 1 to week whatever I am in. In any event I am happy that progress is being made. I hope this continues as I start running today. I was going to start yesterday but I could not for the life on me find me damn sweatpants haha. I have been doing boxing for my cardio this whole month so switching to well jogging first then running haha should help me shock my body a little and start losing more weight faster.

Weight in Tuesday....pray and wish my luck I want double digits!
 
Yeah steam is crazy, I'm close to 200 games now! I never tried Hellgate, that's the game that bombed and was then bought up by another studio right?

Yeah, I'm at about 1600 right now, my maintenance is about 2600, I'm 6'1" and 222lbs and 27 years old, minus the 2lb loss that's about 1600 cals but I generally eat less per day, about 1300-1400 cals per day.

I wouldn't worry too much about your starvation response as long as you're eating more than about 1600 calories per day, this is the minimum recommended for men. below that and you're playing with fire a bit, I have been below it for a while trying to find the exact limit for my own body, my weight loss recently has been less steady but that's after about 9 weeks of being too low.

You can always substitute some of your daily foods for slightly higher calorie variants, my lunch time meals from the shop are shapers premade meals and they all have cal values on them so I can control my daily amount by simply picking more or less calories.

I do also have "cheat days" where I order a takeaway or go out on the town and have too many beers, I don't go over the top, just enough to put me at maintenance for that day or maybe a little over, across the week it averages out nicely and gives you something to look forward to.
 
I actually find it pretty easy not to cheat. My big thing is I am 30 days in and cheating will just make it slower than it already is, so why even do it? I will on special occasions but not just generally speaking.

My mat. is like 3800 and I am eating about 1600-2000 a day and burning about 500+ cals. in exercise a day. I'ma try and start eating more but we'll see what happens. Hoping that jogging turns into running turns into making me body work harder than ever before so I can keep the weight loss going. Pretty excited about my weigh in tomorrow morning. 1 Pant size down, should be interesting.
 
Thanks to all for the support and visits to my diary, tomorrow marks 1 month (30 days). My diet has been FAST FOOD FREE! COKE FREE! CANDY FREE! JUNK FOOD FREE!!!!!!

I exercised everyday with 1 day of rest and I ate great. I just walked/jogged a 19 min mile, a new personal best for me and I must say i feel AMAZING after a good jog. I feel clean and like I got a little spring in my step.

I weight in tomorrow morning at my doctors office, I started at 375 30 days ago and tomorrow I will have drop one pant size. Any bets on what I lost? Winner gets well....nothing haha other than the satisfaction of guessing the right amount. They got a pool going at my office here are the guesses. 27, 30, 20, 8, 16, 19, 22, 27, 21. trying not to want a specific number because I don't want to be let down. Any loss will be good for me and this is a pretty big milestone...never thought the day would come that I give up fast food. Lucky for me God has taken care of me these last 30 days. I owe a lot of it to him.

At work now, figured i'd keep yall posted. I lost 20 pounds! In one month! I am very happy with the results and I just hope it keeps on rolling. I am hoping the jogging will stop me from plateauing but we will see if it does or not. My main concern is doing so well this month and the next will be just horrible. I don't want to get discourged. Anyways...20 pounds....pretty awesome.

I am :) It was an amazing feeling, only 11 pounds to 350 and I haven't been 350 in over 4 years!!

Thanks for the kinds words as well. My main goal is 300 lbs by Decemeber 31st.! I need to lose 12 pounds a month. I hope I can stick with this....but if I have so far, nothing should stop me now. Besides the lord keeping me positive, this community has done wonders for my drive.
