Great job on starting your weight loss journey! As others have said, you seem to have a great, solid and reasonable plan in place.

Where did you live before moving to Paris? And congrats on the little one! I have images of little baby toes in my brain now lol.

I'm from New Zealand so I'm miles away from home. I've now been in Paris nearly 9 years and we have our 10 year anniversary this September *love*

I'm of to a slow start exercise wise which is ok since I just gave birth and the kgs are dropping so easily. I will get harder though to drop them.
 
We will take the kids to the park when Lucien wakes, hopefully ill get some good steps in.

Good day as I did a I.5 hour walk but my steps will not be good as I sat on the sofa most of the day until we left for the walk.
Lucien enjoyed the park and didn't want to leave. Owen slept the whole Time we were out.
 
At the moment I use an app on my iPad called tactio health and I really recommend it, you can track weight loss and loads of other things related to health. I enter my steps in also,
The report you can email to yourself is in PDF format and is so detailed. I'm loving it!
I use the free version. I asked about pro and they said it has less and to stick to the free version for now.

For my steps I use the yamex cw701 as I did a lot of research and its supposed to be one of the most accurate, it's not that expensive either. I paid 37 euros for it plus delivery from amazon uk.

Well, one day doing a bit less is not a problem. Problems begin when it happens too much and one gets depressed.

If its any consolation, I'm lucky if i reach 500 steps/day. :biggrinjester:

Those are great reports. I was also surprised at how low my step count was and I have a standing job so probably walk more than someone with a desk job.
 
I'm just downloading tactio health now. It looks good. I like graphs too. I'm a bit jealous of your weather. Winter sucks & I miss walking. Thanks for the info xo Cate

I'm also surprised mystic as if your standing all day, can I ask your average steps?

Thanks for stopping by my diary Nostalgic! I love your graphs...I'll have to look it up and start one myself ! I also wear a pedometer...keeps me motivated to do steps and stairs! I've stopped it synching with myfitnesspal though because it gave me false 'extra calories' for the day and made me think it could eat more..and I ate my way right up 5 pounds! I'm back on the good route now after 2 days...so I'll be back here to accompany you on our journey together! I havnt done the math to know how much 153 pounds is in kg's...I'm guessing some where around 70...at any rate, It's likely about 3-6 months away depending on my progress.that would put me in good shape for Christmas home trip...always good to wow the relatives!
